Easily best bank teller experience I’ve had. No wait. Angelo was friendly and fast. I would visit this branch again.

Pretty, mediocre, and sometimes terrible. There’s often very long wait times even without a line to the teller. What are they doing? Sketchy street area. Petty tellers who won’t give change without a card swipe. WHY do I need to swipe my card just to change money from one form of cash to another? Are they tracking my every move? It’s not a large sum of money either. I’ve been a customer for 20 years and if it wasn’t such a hassle to change banks I would. I went across the street to a different bank I’m not even a customer of and they changed my money immediately with no questions asked and no card swipe required. It’s extraordinarily petty to require that for $20.

This branch sucks. They had some idiot working in the front who charged me for checks. Who charges for checks anymore? That's usually a courtesy. Won't be back to the branch.

Every time I've come here I've had Angelo as my teller and it's been great. He's always so nice, efficient and professional.

Called ahead to redeem a paper savings bond I got from my parents. I don’t have an account at Wells Fargo, but we were told ahead of time that didn’t matter. I had all the required paperwork to redeem the bond. However, turns out they wouldn’t redeem the bond. I am trans so the name on the original bond was my dead name which is different than what I have on my ID. I had the proper court name change documents and everything I am legally required to show that I am the person whose name was changed. But I was still denied because, apparently, the only reasons their “system allows” for name change is marriage or divorce. It honestly feels a lot like discrimination. They refused me a service that they say they provide to non account holders despite my having all the documents they required. They even accept name change documents for other people who change their name, proving they are in fact capable of accepting that paperwork. However, apparently, being trans doesn’t count as a valid reason. So since they couldn’t put that in the system, they denied me service completely. So I was denied a service they provide, despite having all the legal paperwork and proof that I am the same person. I even brought my birth certificate, credit card, and old social security card with my dead name on it but was told that didn’t count. All of this would be accepted if I changed my name due to getting married or divorced. But, since I changed my name due to being trans, I was outright denied this service. Sad to see the Wells Fargo discriminates in this way. What made it even worse was that, as I was talking to the manager, a group of employees started gathering behind him looking and me and whispering. So not only was I denied a service they offer because I didn’t change my name “for the right reasons,” I also left the bank feeling humiliated by the group of onlookers from Wells Fargo who gathered to see what was going on. Never once raised my voice or did anything yo deserve this treatment. Just followed what I was told when I called ahead and asked a lot of confused questions as to why my name change didn’t count when they do, in fact, accept name changes. Wells Fargo discriminates against trans people, I guess, as they don’t deem that a valid reason to accept name change paperwork they would normally accept from non trans people. Utterly humiliated by this interaction. Didn’t have an account with them before and you bet after this I never will.Shout out to Angelo, though. He was very kind and helpful.

Called ahead to redeem a paper savings bond I got from my parents. I don't have an account at Wells Fargo, but I was told ahead of time that didn't matter. I had all the required paperwork to redeem the bond. However, turns out they wouldn't redeem the bond. I am trans so the name on the original bond was my dead name which is different than what I have on my ID. Theoretically, this shouldn't have been a problem. They are able to do it as long as you have the name change documentation. I had the proper court name change documents and everything I am legally required to show that I am the person whose name was changed. But I was still denied because, apparently, the only reasons their "system allows" for name change is marriage or divorce. So, despite having the right paper work and Wells Fargo being able to redeem savings bonds to people who are not account holders and who's name doesn't match the one on their primary ID (with paperwork I had), they refused to do this for me because the reason for my name change was not marriage or divorce, but being transgender. It honestly feels a lot like discrimination. They refused me a service that they say they provide to non account holders despite my having all the documents they required. They even accept name change documents for other people who change their name, proving they are in fact capable of accepting that paperwork. However, apparently, being trans doesn't count as a valid reason. So since they couldn't put that in the system, they denied me service completely. I was denied a service they provide, despite having all the legal paperwork and proof that I am the same person. A service that someone else would be granted if their name was changed due to marriage or divorce. The only reason I was denied was the REASON my name was changed. I even brought my birth certificate, credit card, and old social security card with my dead name on it but was told that none of it counted as a "primary identification." All of this would be accepted if I changed my name due to getting married or divorced. But, since I changed my name due to being trans, I was outright denied this service. Sad to see the Wells Fargo discriminates in this way. What made it even worse was that, as I was talking to the manager, a group of employees started gathering behind him looking and me and whispering. So I also left the bank feeling humiliated by the group of onlookers (Wells Fargo employees!!) who gathered to see what was going on. Never once raised my voice or did anything to deserve this treatment. Just followed what I was told to do when I called ahead and asked a lot of confused questions as to why my name change didn't count when they do, in fact, accept name changes. Wells Fargo discriminates against trans people, I guess, as they don't deem that a valid reason to accept name change paperwork they would normally accept from non trans people. Utterly humiliated by this interaction and bewildered that my being trans was the thing that prevented them from providing a service they provide to everyone else. Shout out to Angelo, though. He was very kind and helpful.

If possible avoid going into the bank and use the atm. Understaffed and very poorly managed.

Was hoping to pop in for notary services, but I called today and was informed that you must be a customer of the bank. That's reasonable, but that isn't stated anywhere I could find on their website.

I went to cash a check and they told me that i can get some amount in cash back so we did the deposit and then when was done they told me that i can get only $400 because they couldn't verified the check not what they said first, even if the system allows them to cash it but they didn't (feel right lol). They need better people

What a terrible experience! First of all, let me say that I have been a customer of Wells Fargo-Wallingford for FORTY YEARS. What does that do for me? Absolutely nothing! I seldom have reason to go into the branch, but today I needed a letter notarized. A woman, who I later learned was the Branch Manager, said she was a notary and could help me. Then changed her mind and said she had a phone appointment at 3 PM (It was 2:57). I had been in line for nearly 20 minutes (only 1 teller working).I told her it was a simple letter, with no witnesses, and would take only 3 minutes or less. She refused and said she was booked for the rest of the day, and that she was the only Notary there. I told her I had been a customer for FORTY YEARS and she just smiled and said, here's my card. Make an appointment. BTW- her name is Jameila Stewart. She couldn't delay her call for maybe two minutes to help a customer who had been a loyal customer for 40 years!. I then called the Wells Fargo Branch at Greenlake. Mr. Bobson Lee said to come down and he would help me. He did. in fact, he was as gracious and helpful, as Ms. Stewart was rude and unhelpful. The next time I need anything from a banker, it won't be at Wallkingord, but at the Greenlake Branch of Wells Fargo! Neil Scott
