Do I need your permission to withdraw money from my bank account? Where are you going to spend money just asked in the any branchs. why asked too many. what's your phone number?what's your address? I show you photo ID and bank card what's a need mall WAFD.What on earth are you(manager)talking about?manager said you leave now call police l said OK call police.I need cash just withdraw my bank account. what are you said leave now we call police. l am just OMG!sucks branch service is just a really rotten egg.Your no customer money? you can not open entrance door.I feel so bad.It's disgusting

If you want to use a website with your bank...you know...if you expect to use something faster than a pony, you definitely do not want to deal with Washington Federal. Their website feels like it is running on Windows 95. Just horribly, inexcusably slow.

I would give a zero star rating if I could. I have a home mortgage with WAFD that contains an escrow account for property taxes and homeowners insurance. I got a notice from my insurance company that the premium had not been paid and they would be cancelling my policy. It has taken multiple phone calls with them to get this straightened out (hopefully) and I'm left with the impression that they are completely incompetent. Several times I had been told that I would receive a call back to let me know the status, only to be ghosted by them. Would not recommend them for a home mortgage.

I Love Wafd bank, just not this branch. The worst customer service experience I’ve ever had from all of the employees that work at this branch, I was the only customer. They all teamed up on me with their negative attitudes. I hope this one star review helps them get a more professional attitude.Marlene Thomas

I was only a customer at WaFd for a very short time, about two months. In that short period of time I am convinced they are the worst bank I have ever seen. First, they get my mailing address wrong when I open my account. I specifically ask for mail to be sent to my mailing address. I try to make a small (under $50) purchase online with my debit card but cannot because the address doesn't match. I have to drive all the way to the office to get it fixed because the teller couldn't figure out what was wrong--they entered the wrong address. So they correct the address and proceed to send me tons of mail to the mailing address just regarding the correction of the address. Then a few weeks later they're mailing all important things like statements and marketing and such to my residential address but then lie to my face and pretend it didn't happen? and now telling me some things have to come there which is the opposite of what they said when I opened my account and every few seconds changing their story. A bank that is this incompetent to begin with is not something I feel comfortable with so I closed my account.

I've worked with WaFd Bank for several years doing many mortgages, lot/construction loans, and them serving as my primary bank for checking and savings. I've always appreciated the friendly, responsive, and caring staff, as well as feeling valued as a customer. I HIGHLY recommend this bank for any lending or banking needs. There is absolutely no other bank I could ever imagine working with!

WaFd had some of the best rates when we were shopping for construction financing. They worked closely with us throughout the process, and were flexible when circumstances changed. They are always responsive to questions and issues; the overall banking experience is much more consistent and personal than when working with larger institutions.

The whole team of Ballard is there to help me with my account maintenance. I moved to NY where there is no WAFD bank but kept my account for a little bit. Jean Stillwell will go above and beyond to help me. Kudos to Rochelle Herteg, the branch manager for having a dedicated, hardworking and helpful team!

I have banked at Washington Fed for more than a decade. Basically, they get the job done, albeit slowly.One thing that is dodgy, though:WaFd asks you to sign on a small electronic pad for various transactions. No big deal, per se, BUT they don't show you what you are signing *for*. Just "Sign here, please." And--often--the teller is not allowed to print a copy of what you just, blindly, signed for.So, what did I just do? Sign a blank check? Give my approval to transfer $$ to someone else's private account? Not a best practice, IMHO.
