The manager called me to fill out paperwork to change my address
But his associate refuse my service and say no one knows my old address
When the manager just called me at 3pm and told me where my mail was in the system
So clearly they don’t want to help and have customer service and make a head ache of issues
Who are you hiring here in Seattle post offices
I came to the SoDo post office at 4:37 pm

Good luck getting fingerprints taken here, there’s no posted hours posted online for fingerprints so my time was wasted because that service stops at 3 even though they’re still open after that. Despite that, I went back a second time and that time, there was just a paper sign up that says fingerprinting is now unavailable at this location. Do a better job of making information available online and stop wasting people’s time.

I tried to over-night packages 4 times, each time the package took days to arrive. First time I tried, the website and the desk staff neglected to mention the deadline for packages to qualify for over-night status is 3:30pm. I showed up at 5 thinking I was fine since they were open for another 30 minutes. The next attempt they were unable to scan the barcode and instead of taking the 10 seconds to type out the tracking number on the package, they wasted 20 minutes trying to make it scan, after which they put it aside and said it would be fine. That package took 4 days to arrive. Third attempt I arrived well before the cut off time, but the Internet was down in the building so I couldn't get scanned proof that I made it on time. They promised me it would be fine and would make it over night, but of course it took days to arrive again. Last time I tried, the website said it was going to arrive overnight, but somewhere between home and here the postage became 2-day express without notifying me.
And each time I try to triple check that a package will for-real-real show up the next day this time, the extremely contemptible staff rolls their eyes and tries to patronizingly lecture me on how overnight postage works. As if I'm making up all the times they f-ed up my shipments or that I'm too stupid to understand how post offices work. Also, lost count on how many times I've stood there waiting for anyone to show up at the counter, wondering how on earth no one would be manning the stations in the middle of the day. One of the worst post offices ever.

If I could give a 0 I would. On a consistent basis this office marks my packages delivered and they are gone or stolen. I come to the office and I’m given the run around. Pak Chau acts like he’s too busy to help me and then I’m just told by him or other employees to leave my email and phone number. I’ve had packages stolen due to the carelessness of the delivery drivers not leaving things in the appropriate places (mailbox, package box, package room). I don’t know what else too do in regards to these issues. I’ve never dealt with a postal service being so inconsistent. And marking my things delivered and saying they’re in my mail box when they aren’t is now really concerning as it’s happening consistently really angry and disappointed in the service here.

Something is wrong with the USPS in the state of Washington. (With the exception of the Capitol Hill station on Broadway) Nearly everyone I have interacted with will pass the buck and blame some other department or person for a job not being done. Scanning packages is never done. You should print the labels at the office, bring them to the post office and use the self service kiosk so at least customers will know you did more than just print the label. I have lost over $1000 in product because packages have been lost and not able to trace them due to no scan. We have tried talking to the post master but no response. We have moved nearly all of our business to UPS because at least they will try to earn your business and get your packages to the destination quickly and safely. One of our couriers wasn’t showing up to pickup packages at all. Thankfully there was at least someone coming in the afternoon so we were not forgotten all together.

If I could give this place a 0 star I would. If you can have your package picked up with the usps app. Do it. Going in person will make you rip your scalp out.I sell a lot of items on mercari and so sometimes the mailman doesn't have mail to drop off or I miss them that day. So I need to go in person to drop something off. I used to go to the USPS in international China town until it closed. This is the next closest one. This has to be by far the worst usps I have ever been to. Everytime I drop my package off they refuse to take it. If your label is for a future date they won't take it early. Imagine working and being busy. If you finally show up and the label date has passed they won't take it either. These clerks are so out of touch with reality that it just makes the whole experience frustrating.Just today I tried to drop off a package and they said they couldn't take it. Why? It was the wrong label class. I have been shipping items with these labels fine being picked up and suddenly they have issues. I kid you not. Only go in person if you want to start a fight with the clerk because that's how it will be like 75% of the time.A bubble mailer can be a ground package just because today I ship a flat sticker doesn't mean it's a letter or requires a first class envelop.Lots of my past bubble mailers have been shipped with a ground package label, dvds, etc.the Asian clerk is a ?

I had a bad experience trying to get my fingerprints scanned at another USPS so I decided to try this location. James was super patient, explained everything clearly, and we were able to get the scans. Thank you James!

The worst experience I’ve been through. As for fingerprinting, there is no info on their website that they start service at 10am. I drove their in vain. And I don’t know whoever pays them doesn’t require their staff update their open hour correctly. They’re also so rude!!! ?
