I love Urban Animal!! We recently moved here and need to find a reasonably priced place near us and they came highly recommended. My only wish is that they added some of the features on the website to the logged in portal experience.
Either way, 5 stars from me!

I love this place. Very attentive and they are great with all animals. I've been there twice and the pricing is reasonable and I love the online experience as well. I just wish they would add more to the login portal so it was more seamless between that and the web site.
They still get 5 stars from me. This is Junior on one of the beds they offer in the waiting room.

Extremely skilled and knowledgeable staff. From the dedicated receptionist team to the attentive nursing team to the competent and trustworthy doctors. They do a difficult job every day and deserve to be treated with respect and kindness. Lovely experience all around ?

If you ever wonder why their reviews and ratings are so high, that’s because they stop servicing all the unhappy customers. Once you leave a bad review, they’ll stop servicing you. Kicking you out right when your pet needs medical care. Not only they’ll stop servicing you, they’ll also remove your previous written review on Google. So they can protect their fake reputation. Charging at a premium and providing the worst customer service. Save your time and money. Go to a different vet. I should’ve not even gone here for the 1st time. $110 for establishing at such hypocritical clinic. Waste of money.

Vet at this downtown location misdiagnosed my dog's mange, and a receptionist gave me wrong info about appointments. Another receptionist did not book the vaccine follow up appointment after verbally confirming it twice on the phone, so I made the trip for nothing. Also very expensive! The vet techs are lovely people but I will not return here.

Don’t come to this location if you may miss your appointment by 10mins, because of bad traffic or any other reason.
I paid the $110 deposit and was 11.5 mins late for the appointment. My deposit was gone and the staff refused to reschedule it. I will switch to another vet.

Great customer service, I'd like to say having an appointment makes it so much more easier. If you have the time to schedule, I recommend going to this location. There's free parking across the street in a lot but if that's taken there's parking is available on the street or you can utilize the Amazon garages near by.

Urban Animals will put racking your bill above treating your pets and will do next to nothing to help you.
I had several appointments with Urban Animals trying to get care for my elderly cat Bruce. At first it was quick and easy, I thought it was fine. However as he got worse I started to notice, each time I went in tests were requested but no aid to his symptoms were given. The test all gave no results and I was told that only spending 5000+ dollars might give an answer.
On my final appointment, an appointment that costs me over 1400 dollars with NO answers given, one of the vets even said directly to me that "I hadn't done anything to take care of him thus far." This was one of several appointments I had with the over the past 2 years.
After this experience and a surprisingly higher bill than I was quoted, I spoke with Mollyrose, one of the worst customer service experiences I had ever had. She made it EVIDENT that she was only interested in making sure they were protected from any legal claims. I spoke with her in length and gave them ample opportunities to make things right, and they chose not to.
They don't care about a bad review. A dead cat here or there, as long as they keep getting service. I urge people to find small vets that put the pets first, rather than a chain like this.
EDIT: my cat did end up passing away, within just a month of my last visit, SEVERAL thousands of dollars spent, no assistance given. Going to Urban Animals was a death sentence for my cat. They didn't even offer to assist in hospice care. By the time I got in with a vet that actually cared it was too late for my little boy. He passed away at 16.
I do blame Urban Animals, and if I had the money, I would pursue legal action. I know that those in charge will get the Karma they are racking up in this life.
RIP Bruce.

This hospital - I can't say enough wonderful things about.
The front staff is always so incredibly helpful - especially Tammy, Matt, Caylee, and Antonio! As long as you're reasonable and courteous, you will be treated with the same respect. They're there doing their job, which is high stress 99% of the time!
Back staff and doctors are also amazing, I don't let just anyone touch my kitties. If you don't ask for a specific doctor, you'll get the one on staff that day and I trust every. Single. One.
I, for one, am very glad downtown changed to appointment based. It's what people wanted and worth the extra cost. I don't drive, so knowing when I'll be seen is a blessing!
Having been in the veterinary field, it's tough most days. A simple "thank you" goes further than you would ever think.
Urban Animal - all of you - thank you for literally everything ?

I really appreciate the appointment model at this location, even if that means the prices are a little higher. I like the White Center location too, but walk-in is stressful for me & my anxious dog, so having this option is so nice. I got great care from Cas & Dr. West and they were so good with my pitbull. Not all vets are comfortable with bully breeds and some discriminate against them, so it is always a bit scary to go someplace new. I was very happy with the way my pup was treated. Plus there is free parking across the street which makes coming downtown way easier!

i LOVE that i can get into Urban Animal with an appt now! My little girl was limping terribly and I was able to make an appointment within 2 days. The design of this little office is fantastic -- you go in, are greeted, and immediately are taken to an exam room. No hanging out in a busy waiting room while all the pets and owners freak out. Everyone we saw was super nice and knowledgeable and I was surprised to be offered options that included cost as a consideration. great experience.

I've had mixed reviews coming here with my dog. The SLU turned into an appt only clinic which means they upped the price like crazy. They charge so much for a blood test that I've done over 4 times within the past year to get my dog's prescription med on the right level. Also, if your pet's prescription only has like 15 pills... you're better off getting it online. I didn't find out until I kept paying similar prices for my dog's med as they have a $20 minimum, and I could of gotten 100 pills for that same amount. Crazy. Prior to this I put in a prescription refill request, came in 2 days later as I didn't get an message and I only had 3 days left, no one mentioned to me that my dog needed ANOTHER blood test prior to get her prescription and you have to time her meds to the blood work which meant i had to come back AGAIN. The vet tech felt bad so let me know that following day they are open (Monday) she wouldn't charge me for the tech fee ($40 a pop on top of the expensive blood test) and when I got home on Monday after paying for everything I noticed the tech vet fee, I emailed them regarding this and they pretty much accused me of lying then I fought back and they refunded me $20 (which is half of the fee). They called me back later apologizing because they found a sticky note saying to not charge me the fee so they said they were going to refund the other $20. Whelp, that never happened so now I got to contact them AGAIN. Communication at this location is crap. I might check out the Cap Hill location but its so far out of the way (I live in Belltown) that I might just need to find another vet who aren't money hungry.

Generally good service, but pricing is outrageous.
