A lovely space with great people.
The veterinarians and vet techs listen to you and take your concerns very seriously. They have been incredibly sweet to my dog and she truly enjoys going there :)
Thank you for the safe space!

My buddy, a 70 lb male pitbull ripped his nail out on his front paw and I took him here. Quickly saw us, took him back to look at him. Nice gal came out and said well , i cleaned it up for him and gave me recommendations on after care and I stated:how much do I owe you?? They didnt even charge me. I will be going back for all his care without a doubt. ON a side note, they took care of him before and also did a swell job. That was an emergency thing and required some serious stuff and attention! Friendly , kind staff with a positive vibe throughout the entire experience. Thank you!,
Eric

I brought in my elderly cat for a visit. He had been sick for awhile and ultimately it was decided it was best to put him to sleep. Tyson was very affectionate towards the staff, which I hadn’t previously seen, especially considering he had been constantly howling earlier. The process was fairly straightforward. The vets were efficiency and extremely understanding. But I am also thankful that the whole cost was $285 with a keepsake included. Other vets in the area charged $600+ for the same procedure. It did take awhile to reach someone but ultimately I am glad I reached out to Urban Animal during this difficult time.

Friendly & compassionate staff. Offered full disclosure about costs and fees, so no surprise billing. Dr. was thorough and offered multiple treatment options, not just the most expensive.

The veterinarians and staff are all super nice and attentive. This place is walk in only so call to check the wait time first. Definitely recommend for anyone with a Pat!

My pup has had consistently excellent and reasonably-priced care at both the Capitol Hill and West Seattle locations. He just had his first dental cleaning and I was super impressed by the thorough written and verbal reports I received from Daniel directly after the procedure. He also made a one-week post-op call to check in even though the procedure went smoothly. My pup is super sensitive to pain but recovered so quickly after his dental that I'm confident the Urban Animal vet staff were gentle but also thorough--his teeth are so white it's almost like that Girls5eva episode. I'm so grateful for UA!

I came here to have a vet see my puppy, Leo.
We were treated with courtesy and compassion. You can tell they really love animals. They also have a program that helps low income people to pay their vet bill. I'm very grateful for them.

Quick and easy. Little expensive but what place isn’t? Walk-ins are not very long and staff is friendly.

This is the vet with the least red tape. Also great communication, breadth of services, and empathy toward different pet care scenarios. Competitive pricing if accounting for convenience.

Worst Vet Experience of my Life
I've had dogs for 23 years of my life and this takes the cake for the worst veterinary care I've ever experienced. I have three dogs. It's also the most expensive- I've spent over a thousand dollars on my three, healthy puppies in the past six months and I am not going back! We had our first appointment this past Spring and it cost over three hundred dollars for the initial appointment. That was the only time there that went normally-- I also had to wait for around an hour. After that, there was constant confusion and long waits.
The vet said we should test their poop to make sure they are healthy and have me one poop tube and told me to put all the dogs' poop in the one tube and bring it back. I did that. They texted me saying a prescription is ready to pick up and someone left me a short vm saying the dogs have Giardia and to come get the treatment. When I got there, I had to wait over a half hour to get the prescription for the three dogs even though I got a text saying it was ready. Every single time there, there was confusion about me having three dogs and they never had the supplies ready and always made me wait 30-60 minutes due to this error, just to pick up meds. I did the Giardia treatment exactly as instructed and tested their poop again. There was confusion about testing the three dogs poop in one tube.
I had to repeat this process four times because the treatment was ineffective.
One of the vet techs said to come back and get the next treatment for it not working sooner. But I also was told to wait three days before getting their poop tested again. So, I asked if they can just give me more days of the treatment so it would be more likely to work and I was told no.
The fourth time, they gave me two meds but again messed it up but they messed it up twice this time. The fourth time, we had to wait 45 minutes to get their prescription although we were told it was ready and they when we (my assistant) got it home, they filled one med for the three dogs and the other med was only filled for one dog. I told me assistant to go back. No time did we have to wait under thirty minutes! The treatment was ineffective again. Now they sent me an instruction sheet and an article. The place needs to get sued for scamming me and wasting my dogs and my time. I should have been playing outside with my puppies this Summer. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE
The words for this place are disorganized, expensive, and ineffective and the worst communication.
I also asked for a discount after the fourth time and was told no.
What should have happened- the meds should be ready for the dogs when they say they are. They should have given the stronger treatment on the second time, not the fourth. They should give written instructions and product recommendations the first time, not after the fourth time. No time did i get written instructions….. i should have left in the first hour sitting in their waiting room. My assistants (40-50 and hour) and i have spent hours in that waiting room. I should have left before the first appointment when they had me waiting for an hour.
They will take ALL your time and money and your dogs will be the sickest they’ve ever been. Do not go here.

highly recommend the amazing staff at urban animal!!! they are not only so compassionate and hardworking, but make such an active effort to follow up and answers all questions i have (and quickly!).
my sweet dog had to have emergency pyometra surgery, they were able to get her in the next day, and took such good care of her. they’ve been following up, helping me and her through this stressful, recovery time. urban animal, you are truly amazing. i cannot thank you all enough. i’ve had many experiences with other vets, and there is nothing that compares to the care and love my pets receive here. i will always recommend people to take their pets here. from reception, to techs, to doctors, to kennel staff, to assistants, thank you all.

Allow walk in, but wait time is long because of busy. People are nice and really fix the problem.
