I needed two pages notarized for my mortgage company and called the Greenwood branch because I have an account at Umpqua and it is close to me. The guy that answered wasn’t very friendly and acted like I was asking a lot. He said he had to check and would call me back. An hour and a half later (not exaggerating) he calls back to say they couldn’t provide notary services because my mortgage isn’t with Umpqua??? I called Chase where I have another account and they happily worked with me free of charge. No one had to “ask”, and Chase didn’t even charge me. I’ve had excellent experiences at the Northgate branch, so it is sad that the Greenwood branch experience has convinced me to close my account at Umpqua. Incompetency and rudeness are expected and tolerated at some businesses, but a bank is not one of them.

The atm at the greenwood location is not accepting deposits. Their solution is to use the depository which requires you to touch many things and feels inconvenient and not covid safe. There is a spot for envelopes and a pen that is difficult to access without touching your hand to every surface- then you have to lick the envelope....no thank you. Please update your services....I just can't even....it's anxiety producing and feels archaic.

Very friendly and knowledgeable, helpful staff, specifically the branch manager, Cody. After answering all of my questions, and offering additional guidance, i felt like I'd found a good group of people and good company should we wish to continue business with them. Free coffee and yummy teas are a bonus!

This place kicks butt! I drop off a stack of checks to deposit into my business account. For one reason or another I end up getting there 5-1 mins before they close with a bunch of checks to deposit and a withdrawal to process. They're super nice about it and I really appreciate the real people who work there. Ive had the door shut and locked right in front of me 5 mins before closing by one of the robots at Chase. I couldn't believe it. I pulled my iPhone out knowing the time is set by Apple and it was 12:54. Not to mention after years of weekly visits I still felt like a new customer every time at my old bank.. I'm really happy with Umpqua on Greenwood! The other branches have been great as well!! I actually switched years ago. The people at Umpqua are the best part!! They take the time to remember my name as well as my lil dogs name! I'm very happy I made the right choice the first time! If I had to say my least favorite thing about Umpqua it would be a big enough deal to knock it down to 3/5 stars or maybe 4/5? They used to pretty much all be open on the weekends until 1pm witch was very convenient for me. They slowly took away branch after branch around my house and office. This Greenwood branch is now the closest for me on a Saturday. That's usually enough to at least say 4/5 stars but this IS THE OPEN BRANCH I can use on Saturday, the people are FANTASTIC, AND They're nice to my dog!! Thank you for your great attitudes and happy smiles!!!

I really need to move all my accounts from WF to Umpqua. It's the online billpay that keeps me at WF. Certainly not their shady business practices. :(

Best bank and people ever! I've never been one to "love" my bank before but now, I love my bank. Amazing customer service.

I use this branch for both my personal and business accounts and have been very satisfied. We have a lot of accounts and they have never made a mistake with deposits or other issues. Very friendly and pleasant. They are great community members too always participating in events and giving to causes and making my six year old daughter, who has her own account feel like a valued customer.

My experience at this Umpqua bank could not be further from satisfactory. The teller Andrew M. was, from the moment I walked into the branch, repulsed at the very idea of customer care. A simple deposit turned into a 10 minute awkward silence while he stared blankly at the terminal screen. Then, trying to break the uncomfortable silence I asked about credit cards, the look he gave was one of utter disgust, as if that question had inconvenienced him on a personal level. He said he would "get some information for me". What happened was I waited another 10 minutes while he read the computer screen in total silence. Printed nothing, emailed nothing, said nothing. I walked out. If it wasn't for the Umpqua South Lake Union branch I would have transferred my money and closed my accounts to avoid Umpqua for life.

The staff were courteous and thorough when helping me switch my accounts over from Chase. 8 months later and still super happy about my decision!

I never thought i would write a review for a bank...ever. I have lived in the neighborhood for almost 8 years and when a bank opened up I yawned. but I needed to drop off my otter naming ballots (where if you win Umpqua bank provides a ice cream party for 100 people). I was met by a smile from Jackie who was accommodating to me and my dog Harper, very much. I went in and Harper was offered cookies, I was offered ice cream, coffee (which was very good from a roaster in Oregon just for the bank), and chocolate. By the time I left harper had an Umpqua tennis ball and I had a sequoia bonzi seedling to grow. I am going to open a savings account for the personal service and the extra bonus treats for sure!! Kudos to the staff for being so friendly. The only complaint would be they should know their APR rates better/bank information/answers to questions regarding bank. Other than that it was the best banking experience with out a transaction ever!

The friendliest bank I have ever stepped foot in. I liked it so much I moved our mortgage over to Umpqua and saved a bunch of money.
