TLDR: If you drop off equipment here, be extra sure to remove everything you leave or they may steal it.STORY: I left a dash cam on the windshield of the truck I rented. When I realized it the same day, I called the location and spoke to a representative (not at the location) who tried to call for me but got no answer. They then sent an email to the manager at the location letting them know of the forgotten item (this was a few hours after the drop off and they were still open). I arrived today to ask about the item. When I spoke to the manager, they checked their lost bin and did not see the camera there. They said the truck was already on it's way to Iowa (weird coincidence given I was in Seattle, WA and had just driven from Iowa). I told the manager I definitely did not have the camera and that it was left attached with double-sided tape to the windshield in an easy to spot place. When I asked if it was possible it was still in the truck, they insisted that they fully inspect and clean out their trucks thoroughly before renting them. Based on my knowledge that the camera was double-sided taped to the windshield, I definitely did not remove it nor did it fall off, along with their claim that all trucks are thoroughly inspected, the conclusion that I have come to is that they stole the camera and are lying or removed it and threw it away. I'm disappointed that I can't trust U-Haul representatives to be honest. There are many locations in the Seattle area. if you need a U-Haul, avoid this one.

Dropped by to try and purchase a couple bundles of boxes customer service was horrible. I ended up leaving and going to the MLK location which is under different ownership and has always been really friendly.

The gas in the vehicle was lower than what the self checkout app showed. The add a photo button to upload proof was broken. After an hour and a half with an agent, I finally got it amended and my drop off time updated to when I finally got that sorted.On check in, they fought me on the gas and it took 45m to get that sorted. Then, without notifying me, they charged me for a second day of rental even though I had completed check in at half past noon.An awful, time sucking, experience in the extreme. Any other option, door to door storage container, moving company, renting a truck elsewhere is better than this. Moving is stressful and time consuming enough without adding the incompetence and thievery of this company to your load.

I'm not sure why anyone would use U-haul. We tried to return our car outside of the hours when they have an employee and the tech was completely broken. We had to go through hours of customer service calls to just get to the original fee. Customer service had nothing to say about the per performance.

I was helped by the lovely La Tasha today. She was a competent and informative employee, as was the gentleman working alongside her whose name I did not catch. She knew exactly what was going on and was courteous while clearly fielding a lot of customer needs.With that said, this establishment is very understaffed, with the amount of customers I saw they could have doubled the employees on staff. I removed a star for this reason. I have seen many corporations keeping skeleton crews and blaming the “worker shortage” when in reality they are unwilling to pay living wages to their employees and are taking advantage of their current staff and exploiting them to make an extra buck.

BAD SERVICE.Please DO NOT MAKE reservations here. Especially ONLINE. They do not respect your time or your reservation. The customer service is downright horrible.I had my reservation changed on me a day before I was supposed to pick up my vehicle. I was changed to a different time and a location over 30 min away from the original reservation.Their online business is just a trick to get your phone number and spam your email/phone. No reservations are guaranteed until YOU call them.

Worst experience ever! John refused to accept my Washington State driver's license because it was issued last year during Covid and doesn't have my picture. The state sent me the license with " valid without picture", told me to carry my expired with picture along with new license. I have used it for TSA, renting cars, anything I need ID for. John decided it's not valid, regardless of what the state says since he's never seen one before and ordered me out of the store with no truck. I guess thus 74 year old woman who lives in the neighborhood must really be a liar and a criminal! Never ever using UHaul again!

My latino coworker and I just went to pick up our truck from this U-Haul location for the weekend for the LGBTQ+ nonprofit that we work for. Despite our confirmation email, we were told that they couldn't let us have the truck for the duration we had reserved. John, the general manager, then told us he would make it work anyway and then changed his mind after I presented my identification as the one who would be driving the truck. We were then told we seemed "sketchy" and were kicked out of the store. I've never in my life been treated this way as a customer anywhere. I don't know whether this store manager is homophobic, racist, a combination of both, or was just having a terrible day. I will never use this location again, and I recommend everyone in the community do the same. We're now scrambling to find a last-minute alternative for our nonprofit to use. We were told that "online reservations are not guaranteed" so apparently at their discretion they can turn people away who look like us for no reason.

I'd gotten very frustrated by the U-Haul customer service office, changing my reservation from Kirkland location to Rainier Ave, but working with Shedrick at the Rainier Ave location could not have been easier and downright fun. Shedrick communicated clearly and ahead of time, helping me plan when to drop off my 3 U-boxes with 0 hiccups. He was very pleasant to talk with and just a good guy. Other people I have worked with at this location in the past have been helpful as well, but I would recommend this location purely off of working with Shedrick!

Most of these negative reviews if not all are confused with the actual U-Haul Store of Rainier Valley. Not the location here at West Coast Self Storage as we get mostly positive reviews at our store. Please if you write a review make sure you do it under the correct U-Haul store location as it make our customer service look bad under this address. There was a misunderstanding with an online reservation that was made that we could full accountability for; but I don't plan on second foot into this U-Haul location again. The person in charge at the time felt that it was okay for them to have a full conversation with me without their mask on.

Employees here are very impatient and unorganized. We would have found another option but we short on time.We interacted with about 4 people and all were pretty rude and appeared very stressed out
