The owner can be very rude and inconsistent service and won't be going back. My few initial visits had no issues with tailoring until recently had issues with her using purple thread for a white shirt and brought it back to have her fix it. She seemed annoyed and almost as if she hoped I wouldn't notice what looked like a poor substitute and lacked quality. On another occasion, she told me if I didn't like something, she didn't care and I could go away. Wow

I've been using these folks for years and I'm very sorry to say I'll never go back for alterations. It's happened several times where I bring multiple pairs of the same pants to be hemmed and get wildly different results. Half of what's bring is hemmed way too short, wasting money on pants I can't fix or wear.

Always done on time and well-cleaned. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. I've been using them for 15 years and they are wonderful!

Received garments back spotless and on the requested date. One of my sweaters needed a difficult repair completed (a crochet-like garment unwinding at the collar) and it came back looking brand new. I was very happy about this as many places refused to attempt the repair. The woman working there appears to have a lot of experience behind her. Thank you for the good service!

Terribly inconsistent. Brought a sweater in to have moth holes repaired, but only one hold was complete. Did not have time to come back later, so she sewed it right there as I waited. She went from the under-side of the pocket and sewed the pocket closed! I had to ask for thread and needle to finish the rest of the sweater. Rookie hour. Usually clothes are not ready when promised and did not spot-clean a jacket as requested. Had the waist taken in on several pairs of jeans and all were done differently - 2 looked nice, 2 looked like it was someone's first time sewing. Expensive, careless service and she wouldn't give any sort of refund for the inconsistencies or inconveniences. Not recommended.

I cannot recommend this dishonest, unreasonable, unprofessional dry cleaning shop. I brought a Hawaiian shirt to the store for spot removal and was charged $7. While hanging it up later in the day, I noticed additional spots on the back and returned the shirt to the shop to have ALL the stains removed. Silly me, I thought removal of ALL the stains on a garment would be included in the price of the dry cleaning, but I was told that I would have to pay an additional fee of $7 MORE to get the stains from the back of the shirt removed. I told the owner that if she charged me an additional $7, she would be losing a customer for good. I also told her that I would be writing negative reviews of her shop on the Internet, and she simply waved me out the door. She clearly could not have cared less what I think or write. No one else charges $14 to fully dry clean and remove spots from a shirt. Therefore, I will never return to this shop, and I encourage you to avoid it like the plague. . AND they've lost several of my husband's shirts.

I brought a men's Hawaiian shirt here two days ago, explaining to the woman who always works there that it had a spot on the front that I wanted removed. I was told that removing the spot would cost $7, the cost of dry cleaning the entire shirt. I agreed. I returned yesterday, and the woman had, in fact, removed the stain. However, later, as I was hanging up the shirt, I noticed numerous subtle stains on the back that I had not brought to the woman's attention because I had not noticed them. I brought the shirt back to her, assuming that she would not charge me any additional fee to remove the stains on the back. Silly me, I assumed that if I paid $7 to have the shirt dry cleaned, that ALL stain removal would be included in that price. When I brought the shirt back, the woman told me that I would be charged an ADDITIONAL $7 to have the stains on the back of the shirt removed. However, if I had brought the stains to the woman's attention when I first brought in the shirt, I know I would only have been charged $7, the cost of dry cleaning the entire shirt! I told the woman that if she did not agree to clean the stains on the back, too, for the $7 I had already paid, she would be losing a customer for good. I also told her that I would be leaving a one-star review of her services on Yelp. She simply waved me to the door, clearly could not care less what I think or what I write. Not only am I writing the one-star Yelp review I told her I would be writing, but I am disputing the $7 charge through my credit card company, because I don't think a dry cleaning shop should charge anyone $14 to COMPLETELY clean a men's shirt. Will never return to these dishonest, unreasonable, unprofessional people. Oh, and my husband says to mention that they've lost shirts of his in the past. I would give Top Custom Cleaners zero stars if I could. AVOID THE SHOP and save yourself a rip-off and the rudeness of the owner.

Awesome cleaners and superb service! I brought two suits and a few shirts to be cleaned for a last minute business trip. Mrs. Lee managed to get an old stain out (that others tried to get out and failed) of my jacket. She also opened 30mins early so I could pick up the next day....who does that?! Its no wonder that all the old Queen Anne families use them.

Just bought a house in the neighborhood and unfortunately went to two other cleaners before coming to Top Custom Cleaners. It was recommended by a friend in LA of all places! I should have listened to her when we first got here. To say I'm a stickler about my clothes is an understatement. They do an emmaculate job with my designer pieces as well as weekend wear. Top cleaners has a customer for life!

I have brought my work clothes here a few times. Previously I have not had an issue with the place. However, today when I went to pick up my clothes, the woman working was watching something on her phone with headphones in. She was clearly more concerned with whatever she was watching than she was with me as a customer. I told her my name and she went back to look for my items. She returned with 3 dress shirts, I knew there should have been several, including a couple of other items. The woman told me that the 3 shirts were all that was there and started ringing me up as if nothing was wrong. I told her that there had been a mistake and that I had more items. She told me that the 3 items were all that was there and continued to ring me up. She then asked when I came in and I told her it was about 2 weeks ago. The 3 shirts were from about a couple months prior and a completely separate order. She then told me that there was nothing she could do. I insisted that she check again, and she emerged with the right order this time. Instead of being apologetic, she acted as if it was my fault. I wish I could give this place zero stars. Terrible service and I will never be going back.

I save up all my dry cleaning so I can drop them off with Mrs. Lee when I come home for the holidays. There's no place like that compares to Top Cleaners in LA and believe me I've looked. Needless to say I'm surprised by the reviews. I've only brought clothes to be cleaned and they do a PHENOMENAL job! My family have been going to them for 20yrs and we've recommended them to all of our friends. Why would anyone get alterations done at a dry cleaners? Even if they offer the service, its not their specialty. I recommend CInderella Tailors right down the street.

Just as others on here wrote, if I could give them "0" stars, I would. I took my new trench coat here and the leather buckles were completely destroyed. The dry cleaner I took it to the first time was able to handle the buckles. I took the coat back in to show them why I would not be coming back. The woman said she could fix it, and over a month later I still had not heard from her. I called last week and she said that she could not find the hardware and would not be fixing it. No word as to why she never called me, or any attempt to fix my new coat. I will be heading in to pick the coat up tomorrow. I hope I am able to update this review at that time.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I bought a new pair of jeans and when I got home realized the zipper was broken. It was the last pair in my size so I figured I would just get the zipper replaced. I took them here and the lady told me they would be ready in a week. I went back a week later and they weren't done, she told me to come back tomorrow. My husband went to pick them up for me and they still weren't ready. She said they didn't have the zipper in stock, but never contacted me to tell me they wouldn't be done. I finally got them the next day so 10 days later. My husband decided to give them another chance and took 2 pairs of jeans in to be altered. She said they would be ready in a week and when he went back they weren't done. She asked him to come back the next day, he asked for his pants back and told her he would never go back again. She had the pants for 8 days and didn't even touch them. It's unbelievable that they are still in business. The woman is very nice, but nice doesn't pay the bills when you aren't doing the services people are paying for. Maybe they are better at dry cleaning but I certainly wouldn't go in there for alterations of any sort.
