Going to look into switching primary care networks after my in network provider rejected me urgent care. Don't recommend Optum health

I've have nothing but good experiences here. I love Dr burns. there has been some changes with staffing but it seems to be working out now. sometimes change is hard to get through. doesn't change the fact that the providers are still great and care about helping you.

This facility emphasizes over billing, over treating, and essentially trying to take as much of your money as our government legally allows. I have never previously in my life spent more money on basic health care in such a short period of time. You are only allotted about 15 minutes for a visit, and if you go over you will be charged for something else. It took nearly 6 months to get a visit with a new PCP. During the visit, when I tried to discuss getting a refill for the medication I had been using for years with past doctors when this was Polyclinic, the new doctor said I had to choose to either discus a refill or receive the other care I actually came in for, there wasn't time to do both. Instead of providing adequate care and listening to my issues, the doctor heard some buzz words and I was prescribed random medications based very little information that caused me to have an allergic reaction leading to an ER visit. This place seems to be in shambles. Get you in and out as quickly as possible while leaving you in significant financial distress.

I had a horrible experience with the Dermatologist. I scheduled an appointment for 12:30pm. I came in right on time. Waited 15 minutes for Eric (dermatologist) to show up. I sat down and told him my concerns. He collected some samples and came back 5-10 minutes later to explain my conditions. When I tried to ask more questions I was turned down because "we're running out of time and I have other patient to attend to". So literally book a 30 minutes appointment but got 10 minutes to talk to a dermatologist. Any other concerns would have to be a follow-up. Next time, be respectful and show up on time. Very unprofessional.

i was there on time, an older gentleman was in front of me taking a little longer than anticipated. i was 6 minutes past check-in. since they’re such penny pincers, you can only see the doctor for 20 minutes. they canceled my appointment while i was there. this was for birth control, after i just lost my first pregnancy. they don’t care about you, only the money. i would highly recommend going to the iceplex virgina mason. they’re much kinder and hold more respect for their patients.

My family has been a patient of the polyclinic for over 5 years and unfortunately are changing care. Our former PCP took a new position and we found another PCP at the polyclinic. Unfortunately it was a bad experience. The doctor was unprofessional and wrote a false statement in his note when he did not assess my husband. We have now made another appointment outside of the polyclinic to help my husband with his health.

If you've ever been to a DMV and thought "man, I wish a medical clinic could give me this kind of experience" this is the place for you. Got referred here from a doctor and called to schedule an appointment. The phone representative had the tone of someone taking a pizza order and was pretty curt with me. I arrived to the clinic the following day and the receptionist laughed when she realized my appointment was scheduled for a completely different month and time. After we had a good laugh at the mishap at the expense of my health, she told me to call back the main number and apologized for the assuredly long hold time I'll experience. Despite the exciting ups and downs this experience has given me, I've opted to not come back here.

The lab here is much improved the last two times I had to get a blood draw. A couple years ago I waited in a line that extended out into the hallway for two hours. The last couple of visits, I walked in, there was no line of people waiting, and they took me back within five minutes of my arrival.

“PolyClinic Now” should be called “PolyClinic Later”. Even at 8am on a weekday they have only one doctor in their clinic you wait over 1 hour. Vastly understaffed. The Optum takeover has slashed operating budgets. Beware.

On Saturday at 4:45 PM I did a home test and tested positive for COVID. I immediately called the Polyclinic Northgate, where my primary care physician is based, about immediately getting an antiviral like Paxlovid. The contact person gave me the following run-around:
(1) I need a prescription for an antiviral; (2) no Polyclinic physicians are available for a remote diagnosis and prescription on the weekend, and won't be until Monday; (3) Consult an NIH website, which should be helpful (it wasn't).
The website suggested that the pharmacists at Walgreens can validate an antiviral prescription after a positive COVID test, but the Walgreens pharmacist that I contacted after ~30 minutes on HOLD said that was not true. Therefore, I have to wait until at least Monday to get an antiviral, my first symptoms appeared on Thursday, and there is a 5-day window for antivirals.
Polyclinic users who detect COVID on weekends are screwed!

They are head and shoulders better than Swedish Hospital now. For nearly 20 years now Swedish is going down and Polyclinic is improving. We've had nothing but the best of care from their doctors and nursing staff.

Providers are pretty good, specially my PCP. The huge problem is whoever hires PSS/front desk people. They are rude, over talk as you are trying to speak and give you an attitude kinda like they are doing you a favor..... forgetting they are speaking to a patient (person who has health issues).

Sadly the service of this organization has increasingly diminished to the point that I am looking around for another health care center. There is never someone that can answer phones, help with scheduling appointments, or address any insurance questions. I feel bad for the healthcare workers that want to provide good services, when the organization can’t provide the infrastructure, the admin personnel and the right processes to provide patients with the basics of a healthcare center. If you are looking around for a healthcare center, do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.
