Nice building and decent management. But beware: You will pay exorbitant fees for trash removal since there is nothing preventing residents from chucking all their giant furnishings at the end of an average one-year lease.

I had a great stay at this property and strongly recommend. Sarah was the only manager I interacted with and she was always professional, responsive, and went above and beyond when issues came up or I had questions. My moveout went smoothly with no surprises as well. I would stay at this or another location by this group if the opportunity made sense.

It was 5-star property until I moved out. Living here was pretty good, quiet and neat but they charged about $500 for cleaning and painting fee even though I cleaned the unit professionally and left what I had moved in. Made a phone call to ask why they charged, a lady said “they always paint again no matter what” So.. yeah they charge you $500 no matter what at the end of your lease.

I lived here for five and a half years in one of the top floor lofts with roof access and large private balcony with 180 degree views of the city, sound, space needle and Lake Union; and part of Mt Rainier on a clear day. South facing, two story windows with lots of natural light; parking and extra storage units in building. This is my favorite neighborhood in Seattle, a true gem. Quiet street with a few great local coffee shops and restaurants, walkable or bike-able to everything. Friendly neighbors. I loved this apartment and for one person it’s hard to find anything in the city that beats it. Sarah who managed the property the entire time I lived there was the best, always responsive, professional, quickly addressed any issues and genuinely cared about the residents, as she was also a tenant for several years. Sarah and her husband went above and beyond for me on multiple occasions. Maintenance and cleaning staff in the building were also fast, professional and friendly. Overall great experience living here.

I loved staying at The Local 422. Sarah is a great landlady and stays on top of every issue you mention to her. The neighborhood is awesome, and you'll get plenty of bars and restaurants around. There are parks, running areas, gyms, and adequate grocery stores (3 stores in each direction within a block). It's a shame I'm having to move away from this place as I wanted a private 1 bedroom, but will be more than happy to come back again!
