I normally write reviews when I move out, not when I move, but this experience has been so amazing, I had to make an exception. I could spend the entire review talking about amazing the apartments are, how beautiful the area is, or how conveniently located the complex is to literally everything, but no. That’s not what this review is about. This review is about the office staff because they are truly what makes The Corydon so magical. From my first exchange with Buzz and every interaction after, he has been so kind. So empathetic. So patient. I have had a million questions and he has answered every single one of them never making me feel like I’m a burden. And he didn’t change even after I was approved and set to move in so I know he wasn’t just trying to get me to apply so he could forget about me. The property manager Nana is warm, kind, and caring as well. In my few conversations with her I knew that she cares deeply for her staff, her residents, and this property greatly. I’m so grateful I found this community. I relocated recently to the area and my last community down in Vancouver, WA was amazing. I have no doubt this place is going to feel like home in no time. Thank you Nana & Buzz for welcoming me arms wide open!

As a resident of The Corydon Apartments since early 2020, I have been impressed with both the Management here and the Maintenance Team, who have consistently and promptly taken care of each request and necessity. I appreciate their kind professionalism and excellent service.

Great location. Good gym. Lovely courtyard. The leasing office people are very nice and helpful. They have provided fun events like Game Night.

I have been living at the Corydon for a year and decided to stay for another year. I am writing to share my experience. The staff here are super helpful and friendly. They are responsive whenever I need help. And there are regular fun events for residents to have a sense of community. Really appreciate the efforts.I love the layout of the apartment. It is really spacious and well-equipped. The gorgeous garden inside the property makes me refreshed in the morning. There is also an underground parking lot.The location is very convenient and safe. There are bus stops right outside. It is close to U village and has restaurants and retail stores onsite. And people can jog or go cycling on the Burke-Gilman Trail right next to the property. As the previous reviews mentioned, there were false fire alarms occurred before. But it has been fixed and it has never happened for over 6 months.Well, no neighborhood is perfect. What matters is that the management team would take feedback to make a difference. Always appreciate when people put effort instead of maintaining the course. Good job and please keep it up!

I've been residing at the Corydon for a few months, and so far, everything has been wonderful! The maintenance team is outstanding, and management is excellent and responsive. It's safe and secure. I love how many parks, stores, and restaurants are close by. Both the courtyard and rooftops are gorgeous!

Horrible place to live, avoid at all costs. Some of the things wrong, honestly I can’t even remember all of them:- fire alarms go off about once a week, many times in the middle of the night.- bike was stollen from the “secure” bike locker, so either someone living there is cutting the locks off of bikes and stealing them or it’s not really secure- never ever ever responded when I had a question or concern. I would ask very direct questions and get either no response or something completely unrelated to the concern I raised. This was across multiple emails, sometimes with two or three follow ups - never a response.- bogus charges on moveout, again, when I pointed this out, I never got a response. If I still lived nearby I would be pursuing legal action to recover my deposit but it’s not worth the effort from afar.Only upside was my interactions with Buzz, he was a great help whenever I interacted with him about parking or package related stuff

After more than 6 year at the The Corydon I would like to express my appreciation for the prompt and efficient service that the staff provides. Chemire as manager is responsive to request and has solution for all of my needs. My flat quite and provides a view of the university campus trees and the flowering courtyard. I consider my flat to be one of the best in the building. Perry is outstanding as Maintenace. Not only is the Corydon itself close to restaurants and cafe, but it with in short walking distance to the university village shopping center.

What a miserable experience. With an "appointment" I waited 15 minutes in front of their leasing office and kept calling. The office doesn't even open the door for potential tenants. I cannot imagine how bad it will be once someone moves in. No wonder why their ratings are 2.5 stars. Keep in mind one star is minimum.

This is my favorite apartment complex. They have the best managers and the greatest maintenance team. They keep residents well-informed and truly care about resident safety. There has only been one package that I missed in my 3 years here. It is possible that it was never delivered. I am on the courtyard side and it is quiet. I highly recommend the Corydon to my family and friends!

I have lived here for two years, but my experience is awful with previous manager.1. If you live near the side of the street, you will be awakened by the sounds of motorcyclists and other vehicles every morning. That street is very noisy all day, since the apartment is very close to the road.2. You will hear the drums downstairs in the early morning, and there will be loud noises when someone walks upstairs.3. After you lose a package every month, the office tells you what they can't do anything at all or doesn't respond to your emails. If you ask them to do something, such as sending reminder emails. They will angrily say that you question their team's ability to work, which is disrespectful for them. Then they still do nothing.4. When the COVID-19 pandemic first started, the government did not require wearing a mask. So when I was wearing a mask, I met an old lady neighbor(I didn't know her and never talked before). After she asked me, I told her that it was to prevent the virus, and she called me silly directly. I don't know if this is because I am Asian. But not all neighbors are so unfriendly.5. At least two fire alarms a month, for various reasons. The only good thing about this apartment is the maintenance team and a small backyard.

This is without a doubt the WORST place I have ever lived in my entire life. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.The woes start with the fire alarm. I lived at The Corydon for 3 years and I wish this was exaggeration or hyperbole, but it probably went off nearly 50 times, if not more. Of those 50 times, I can count that maybe 3 were related to actual fires, as reported by management. Often it was just glitches in the system, or when i lived there, the previous management told me it was because of faulty wiring and when it rained, it would short the alarms and set them off. They are also extremely sensitive. At one point someone BBQ'd something on the roof on one of the provided barbecues and just walked the plate of cooked food back in and that set off the alarms. I'm not joking. They are also tied to the assisted elderly living next door, and from my understanding, the staff over there pulls the alarm when someone has a medical emergency. It got to the point that we had to just start wearing ear plugs and ignoring the alarms because they were never legitimate. THIS IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS but we couldn't pack up and run outside once a week only to be brought back in on a false alarm, or because someone next door was injured or ill.So that's just the fire alarms. Another issue was shoddy build quality. Something was ALWAYS breaking. Be it the elevator doors getting stuck (and causing a fire alarm!) or the front doors not opening, the key fob readers being broken or busted. Something was ALWAYS broken on the building.Another issue was noise. They advertise this place as "Quietly Awesome" yet it was anything but quiet. Neighbors would blast music at unreasonable hours. 2-5AM and I'm talking wall-shaking bass thumping with absolutely no recourse. I could probably have talked to the people and maybe rectified it, but that's not my job, that's management's job to enforce the rules. They would sometimes hold concerts in the plaza between The Corydon and the living facility next door. Which was nice, but often incredibly loud and disruptive with no real escape from.Kids run up and down the hall screaming, people sprint down the stairs, have bowling ball juggling practice above you, and wall-punching practice next to you. This last part is hyperbole of course, but it certainly felt that way. I could often hear my neighbors having full conversations at a volume that I could hear without having to TRY to hear. It was an absolute nightmare for anyone who likes quiet living. Management would never actually do anything about the noise either.Which brings me to my final complaint: Management.Do you want formal contact with management? Do you want timely communication? Do you want them to actually respond to you at all? Better find another place to live, because The Corydon sure as heck doesn't do any of that.I had a plethora of issues over my time at this waste bin of a living facility, but management would ALWAYS drag their feet to get back to me, if they did at all. I'd email and sometimes have to wait a week to hear back. I'd call and never get a call back. They were always off taking vacations, or worse yet, dealing with management turnover. In the 3 years that I lived there, I saw 4 different apartment managers come through. I've seen less turnovers at a bakery than this place had.If we had to fill out paperwork for our lease, it'd be sent to us at 4:50pm on a Friday and it'd need to be in by the end of their day at 5pm. I'm not even joking! This happened twice.I've never in my 40+ years on this planet been subject to such horrible living situations for the cost. We'd have moved out after the first year lease if we didn't work so close by and need it. It was a nightmare from almost start to end (Shoutout to Jay Koster who was the former apartment manager who actually ruled at his job, got back to us on time, was incredibly friendly and got sacked for some reason)The Corydon is a terrible place to live. Avoid at ALL costs!!

Update in response to Diana from The Corydon: Hello Diana, I appreciate your prompt response. I hear you stating that it is unreserved and open access parking. I guess I find it confusing that: 1) It's considered unreserved, yet there are signs stating that certain spots are reserved for residents of The Corydon 2) It is open access/unable to be secured, yet we were told in an email on February 9th (after 2 cars "were tampered with" and bikes were stolen) that the garage gate would be closed at 9pm Monday - Friday (my car was destroyed last night - a Tuesday), cameras would be installed, and there would be a night patrol monitoring the grounds (none of which seems to have happened in the past month). I understand that The Corydon does not want to claim any responsibility for the unsafe conditions of its building on a public platform like Yelp. What is most upsetting is that we are told by The Corydon, in private, that all of these safety measures will take place as a way to make us feel more secure and confident in this apartment complex, when that is clearly not true (based on your response to me). I was made to feel that I could trust the competency and security of this building, and now I am left with over $4000 worth of damage on my vehicle. If this complex has no intention of making it a safe place to live, then do not gaslight your residents. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Do not live here. For your own safety & sanity - do not live here. Today, my car was broken into as well as my husband's. My car roof is completely ripped apart and will cost thousands in repairs. Ours are at least the 3rd & 4th cars to be broken into in the last few weeks! More have been broken into over the course of the past year. This is the SECOND TIME my husbands truck has been broken into at this apartment complex in the past year (in the "secure parking garage" that we pay for, mind you). Management says all of these extra measures will be taken to secure the property - this is not true (or at least, has yet to be done). Management says they will "review the security footage" - that never happens. Multiple bikes have been stolen over the last few months from the "secure" storage in the garage. In addition to paying for these extra "amenities" (the cost of repairs to your vehicle will be just as much as this exorbitantly priced parking for a year), the fire alarm goes off at least twice a month for absolutely no reason - traumatizing pets and desensitizing people in the case of an ACTUAL emergency. We absolutely cannot wait to move out at the end of our lease.
