Tucked away up in Skyway on the corner of a tiny strip mall is the Skyway Model Shop. It is here model makers will find rare kits of all kinds in well-defined sections with prices comparable to what online sellers are selling for (yes, the owners of this shop do their homework). From car model kits to war planes, art supplies, and just about any & all a hobbyist loves you can probably find here. The hours of operation are minimal & they're closed at the start of the week. Still, if you want to find that elusive kit that online markets can't seem to keep in stock, give the gentlemen here a try. Great shop, sirs!

My experience with this place was not good. I called about 15 minutes before closing to see if they had certain models, but the man who answered (the owner?) was more concerned about going home and was rushing me off the phone and said come on down, see what you got. While that is not unreasonable, I wanted to check for certain model in stock before I take a two hour bus ride.On a positive note, they have a LOT of inventory which would take me hours to peruse. I don't have that kind of time.I'll just stick to shopping online and having my selections shipped to me.

A wonderful shop that every modeler should go to when in the Seattle area. The owner was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Great selection. If your looking for that hard to find model they probably have it.. Great old time hobby store.

This model shop is one of a kind, the people there are helpful,knowledgeable, the selection is second to none, I am happy to support this local business,customer service is not lost here , this is a great plus for me,this ethic is getting rarer these days, thanks to you S.M.S !

This is a cool little shop with models of just about everything. It is a bit of a tight fit in there, especially when it is very busy (like Black Friday sale time). Models at different scales and of different types of things. Military stuff (aircraft, Army, Navy), space stuff models, and a lot of sci-fi models. Model cars are pretty big here too. They also seem to have a good collection of paints to choose from.It seems that the store owner runs the shop everyday, and is an avid modeler himself.This is more statistic models than RC stuff (I don't think they have any Radio Control (RC) stuff at all).

First off, I am so incredibly happy to find a scale modeling store that is focused solely on scale modeling and nothing else! It's been so hard to find stores like this lately, but man, am I glad I found this place!I went in last week and was immediately greeted, and then I was quite shocked at the scale of the kits in stock. There are so many kits from manufacturers that other "big-box" retailers wouldn't stock. I love Dragon Models' and Border Models' kits, so it was fantastic to see them on a store shelf. I have been specifically looking for Dragon Models kit #6600 Tiger I Initial Production forever, and I finally found it! I bought a small handful of other supplies that I'd have to buy online and wait for them to be shipped (which always takes too long, in my opinion).Count me in because I will definitely be a regular customer here!

Showed up at three with a list of exactly what I needed. About $50 worth of paint but instead I was chased away by barking dogs and an old man telling me to leave. Will not be returning.

I have been going to this hobby shop since the early 2000's. It has been by far, the best plastic model shop in the Seattle area if not the Puget Sound of Washington State. You will not be disappointed!
