Extremely rude stuff, especially the front desk reception (watch out for Alyssa if you'd like to avoid unnecessary attitude). Unhelpful and don't seem to care about customers. Refused to help out with a simple question and failed to provide any guidance. Also flat out lied about the floor provided.Decent location and old but clean hotel. Has a funky smell though

Unparalleled location, coupled with very comfortable rooms, beautiful views, outstanding prices, and easy-access to great restaurants, make Silver Cloud the leader among Lake and U-District hotels, in our book.Rooms: Very comfortable, and all rooms had 26" high beds, which were accessible from a wheelchair. This allowed us to opt for a 7th floor, lake side room with French doors, allowing us to take in the sunsets and enjoy the cool evening air. Rarely is the room itself such a great addition to a trip, as it was at Silver Cloud on Lake Union.Nearby activities: Paddle boats and float plane tours are just across the street. We strolled to/from Pete's Market in Eastlake (great wine selection). It was manageable in a wheelchair, with plenty of lake views along the way.Safety: It felt more secure than the U-District. More like a stable, residential neighborhood.Walkability: Easy walking and wheelchair access to great waterfront restaurants.

Perfect place and location in Seattle. Room is nice and bigger than other places. Has dual sink, separated, very convenient. Breakfast included with great selection of hot meals. Public transportation is just in front of hotel, easy to transfer and go everywhere.

Dear James O’Neal GMI would like to commend Kiel Whitney and your entire staff at the Silver Cloud Lake Union. Back in April of this year we were challenged with having to begin cancer treatment at Fred Hutchinson. We live in Arlington WA which meant a two hour drive each way once a week. We determined that we would need hotel accommodations at least once a week for the next 6 months. We searched for a hotel close by and decided we would start with the Silver Cloud. Wow !!! were we pleasantly surprised. Right from the start Kiel has treated us with compassion and respect for our circumstance. In fact, the entire staff has been awesome and attentive to our needs. From the front desk to housekeeping, all are greatly appreciated. A special thanks to your breakfast staff. The quality of the food and cleanliness of the breakfast area is impeccable. Our room feels as if it is brand new every time we enter. From the view of Lake Union to the comfort of our king bed is a perfect accommodation for us. We are very blessed to have found this jewel on Lake Union and will recommend your hotel to all of our friends and acquaintances. Yours is a five-star hotel without a luxury price. A special shout out to Jaleel, Jenifer and AJ for their courtesy, helpfulness and friendly nature. Thank You !!!Sincerely, Gerald and Debbie BearNoteworthy details: Dear James O’Neal GMI would like to commend Kiel Whitney and your entire staff at the Silver Cloud Lake Union. What a find. It's on a street right down the way from Google and it's really nice. The hotel staff are super friendly and helpful and are able to guide you to where you need to go. We were a 4 person family with two kids and we share two beds as there was no cots available. With this location you're right next to a bus stop and tram which go right into the centre of the city where you'll can see pike place market and up to the sky view. Would recommend for a short or medium stay.

What a delightful hotel across from Lake Union, near some great walkable restaurants and near public transportation. Rooms are very spacious, entire staff was very hospitable. We had finished out Alaskan cruise early Sunday morning. We went to the hotel around 9:30 am to see if they could store our luggage for us. Jaleal offered us our room instead, hours before check-in time! Beyond grateful for Jaleal and the Silver Cloud to make this extraordinary accommodation for two weary travelers. Highly recommended for your stay in Seattle.

Last minute medical trip to Seattle required comfortable place to stay near University of Washington Medical Hospital, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center. Needed to reserve a nice room at medical visit rate within close proximity to our medical appt. The Silver Cloud on Lake Union was perfect for us. A safe, attractive setting with a great rate and friendly customer service. We made the mistake of going to the Silver Cloud across from Fred Hutchinson downtown near Swedish Neuroscience and they took the time to call the Silver Cloud at Lake Union to let them know we were still planning to check in and we’re on our way. Then they gave us directions to the Silver Cloud at Lake Union which made it very easy to locate! It was good old fashioned service with a smile. I was so very impressed by their helpfulness and thought to myself “that corporation is doing something right to keep their employees so happy that it’s pervasive throughout their corporate culture.” Way to go Silver Cloud! We didn’t have time to take advantage of the complimentary full breakfast; but what a great value for the price! I’d definitely return to this hotel on a pleasure trip in the future. I loved that parking was a locked gated facility that opened only with a current room card. This was my first time at a Silver Cloud; but definitely won’t be our last! We will be making many visits to my husband’s oncologist and it’s nice to know we found a comfortable hotel that will be part of his healing journey. My husband is 76 yrs old and God-willing, we can celebrate his 77th birthday at the Silver Cloud!Rooms: Comfortable King-size bed, desk/chair, couch and coffee table, color tv, radio, phone, Wi-Fi, separate sink area (faucet has instant hot water) coffee maker with packets of drip coffee, tea, cocoa, dairy mix, cups, spoons); separate bathroom area—shower/tub and toilet).Safety: Cars are parked in lot underneath hotel behind locked gate which opens only with current room keyWalkability: Nice walkway across street from hotel is Lake UnionFood & drinks: Dukes, great seafood restaurant across the street from hotel. We didn’t eat here but recommended to us as great seafood! Very attractive setting!

A jewel by the lake. We've stayed here several times visiting Seattle, and would never consider another hotel. The location is superb. The free breakfast is excellent, the service staff are fast, friendly and very helpful. The fitness center is just tops, flat out the best I have seen outside a gym. And you don't need an Uber to find a restaurant, there are over a dozen great places for lunch and dinner just minutes by foot.

Stayed here for one night while in Seattle for a family emergency. Nice spacious rooms, ours even had a balcony. Everything looked nice and new. Even though we were only able to venture out for a bit the location on the south end of Lake Union seems fantastic. We absolutely appreciate that the parking garage was locked at all times and that access to it or the elevators requires a key card. Typical hot breakfast options were appreciated. Outside seemed safe.Rooms: Nice and spacious. We had a balcony with partial lake view. The bathroom was on the smaller side but workable.Nearby activities: Lake Union, Museum of History and IndustrySafety: All access into the hotel and parking requires a key card. Outside seemed safe even in the evenings.Walkability: The south end of Lake Union is a 5min walk away.Food & drinks: Several restaurants are just across the street or within a 10min walk.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. Rooms are clean. Staff is friendly. Location is great. Only downside was that the room key cards kept getting demagnetized so I had to get them reprogrammed multiple times. They said they are getting new keys though. Thank you !! Would highly recommend.

Very friendly and professional. When told them I was there for doctors appointment at Fred Hutchinson cancer care they gave me the hostel rate of $129 instead of $149., enough savings for a meal.
