This is from about 1.5 years back, but still worth mentioning so people can know to avoid this shop if they expect quality work. There is a severe lack of attention on the part of mechanics at this shop. I had an issue with my drive train that has required re-running the cable and housing, and both times I took it in for warranty work I was deeply disappointed by the results. As the photos show, the last time I ever went there they did not properly route the shifter cable through the groove in the nut that holds the cable to the derailleur, crushed the cable end cap which lead to a nearly immediate cable unraveling, and didn't use a housing cap to keep the housing from damaging the cable at the shifter. That's not even mentioning that the issue was not solved. Ended up giving up on using the warranty and did my own work, and lo and behold it worked without issues. Turned out the shop was using generic housing and cables, when the derailleur I have (that they installed!) requires premium polished cables and lubricated cable housing. So they were being cheap on parts and cheap on labor, which resulted in a disfunctional bike and a very angry customer. Go with Gregg's Cycles if you want quality support and a warranty that's worth anything. I should have gone direct to consumer.

I didn't actually visit but I called for some help. And although they couldn't fix the issue themselves, they suggested a few other bike shops that could help me. That was much appreciated.

Incredibly impressed by the service provided to me today. Ken and Jim both spent a significant amount of time providing information, comparing bikes, and test riding (I’m talking maybe two hours!). They were both incredibly knowledgeable and patient. Look no further.

We rented a bike from Seattle Electric Bike for 4 days. Brought the bike to the house we're staying at (on vacation) about a 20 minute drive away. We found out the next day when we went to charge the bike that the charger we were give wasn't for the bike we had. Called the shop and long story short they brought the right charger to us later that day. Wow - very appreciative!

I bought a Tern Vektron S10 here almost a year ago and the chain on it has catastrophically failed twice now in less than 350 miles. I'm afraid to ride it after getting stranded with hypothermia because of them. Every other mechanic I've talked to has said the cassette is loose but Seattle Electric Bike refuses to look at it, instead insisting that the chain is the root cause. The first time it broke they replaced the link and said the rest of the chain was fine (it was extremely worn after only 200 miles). 150 miles a different link was broken and they still refuse to look at the cassette. They are also very dismissive of anything that another mechanic says because (direct quote from an email) "ebikes are kinda new and some shops haven't spent much time with them yet".The arrogance of implying that other shops aren't capable of working with basic components of a bicycle drivetrain is off the charts. Arrogance is a bad look on anyone, but given that they're also not capable of maintaining bicycles here it feels especially cringe.

These guys were recommended to us by several other Seattle area bike shops when I was looking for an e-bike to transition my 80 year old dad from a traditional road bike. Ken gave us lots of time on a busy Saturday and walked us through different options of quality e-bikes at the price ranges we were trying to stay within. He respectfully answered all our beginner questions and explained everything carefully. He showed my dad how easy the controls are to operate. He even took us out for a test ride. Highly recommend this shop.

Sold me a used bike with a faulty wire that broke within 30 days of purchase. When I bought I was assured that I would be covered within 90 days. They refused to pay for the 80$ wire replacement I needed for the bike to work.

Seattle E-bike store in Green Lake rented bikes to 9 of us from NJ. The staff were friendly and responsive, the bikes reasonably priced and the store location was a perfect place to start and stop an all-day ride. Heartily recommended this shop!

We rented e-bikes to try them out. The bikes were great (We went to Matthew's Beach and back for a picnic lunch). The explanation on how to operate the bikes was clear and accurate. What a great way to enjoy a sunny day!

Very helpful in maintaining my older bike. Fixed my brakes ordered me a battery charger,A new battery and a quick tune up. They are very knowledgeable. Felt my bike was maintained and taken good care of. Would definitely come back and my new bike will come from this store. They weren't pushy and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need. Very impressed with the excellent customer service. Will definitely recommend this shop.
