My toddler goes to SELC Admiral 1 and we LOVE it. Mirna and Paloma in the toddler room are the most wonderful teachers we could hope for. They care for our toddler like he is one of their own. It is such a relief to know that he enjoys going there every day and that he is well cared for. The teachers are also great at communicating what he did each day and how he is doing. Finding the right daycare is stressful and I am so glad we chose SELC Early Learning Center Admiral 1.

I entrusted SELC (Admiral 1 -- there are 3 locations total) with my baby when I went back to work after maternity leave. He's been in the infant and toddler room. The center took great care to stay open while keeping everyone safe with realistic policies during COVID uncertainty. The teachers and staff are all wonderful. Communication has always been easy with staff and we get meaningful updates/recaps at pick-up. Extra callouts: They have a nurse that comes around each month to give tips and help with processes. The Procare app is awesome for 2-way communication between teachers/parents and provides a glimpse into the kid's day with pictures/videos/text updates. The center provides meals (breakfast and lunch) and an afternoon snack. The facility also has two outdoor play spaces, one of which is covered. All in all, a great option in West Seattle

Our baby girl started in SELC's infant classroom in January 2022, and I am very happy with the experience. The teachers are so kind and caring, the app works great for communication/updates/photos, and the cost is very reasonable as far as daycare goes. Would absolutely recommend SELC without hesitation.

My toddler went to the admiral way location and enjoyed it. They were very safe and efficient for COVID-19 protocols as well and there was good communication and the space was very cleaned and maintained. Well done

This is a gem of West Seattle. Our girl has been going to this daycare for a little more than a year now, and words can't express how grateful we are to have found this place. She was in an infant room when covid hit, so we took a break but then came back to a toddlers room. First we were worried we won't have our amazing teacher with us, but the toddlers room has such great teachers too! The center uses their own app and I just love checking on my baby girl during the day. All the activities they do there: science projects, dancing, singing, learning new words every day. Last month they learnt fruits, now they are learning animals. The month before it was transportation, so you can imagine that the girl started pointing at buses and trucks naming them. They do lots of artistic things there too, be prepared that your kiddo will come home with paint marks- but then again, it's just so much joy! The teachers seem to be caring and from the photos I noticed that some of them even wear clothes with cartoon characters. Just a small thing but you can tell that they are doing what they really love. The center has a great outdoor play area, which is not so common to have in a city. And also, the menu there is good and balanced. For example, for lunch yesterday they had rice with chicken, carrots, green beans, oranges and milk. The only thing that might scare a parent there is the cost of care, but let me tell you: it is reasonable for Seattle. Being a first time parent I remember we were so surprised to hear how much centers charge in the city. We were looking around and even considered some in-home care center as it was a little cheaper. But smth just didn't feel right. The communication wasn't as straightforward as with Seattle early learning center. Well, and with in- home daycares you just don't really know what's going on, it all stays in the family. We decided to go see the SELC center one more time before making the final call, and a small detail- a bottle tray in a fridge with our child's name already prepared for us - helped us make this decision. They are indeed thoughtful and caring. I 100% recommend this daycare.

Absolutely love SELC. Our kids lost their day care at the beginning of the pandemic, but we lucked into finding SELC nearby our home. The staff is professional, their communication is strong, teachers and children come from diverse backgrounds, and I love the Procare app they use. Our 1.5 and 2.5 year olds love their teachers and their classmates, and we are frequently amazed with how much they learn at "school." . We would happily recommend SELC to our friends.

We have had our two girls at SELC since May 2020 when they were about 10 months and 22 months old and it has been great- the manager of the Admiral branch Amanda is especially awesome at communicating and caring for our kiddos! We feel super blessed to have found SELC during COVID and feel like they have kept everyone updated and extra safe. There was a bit of teacher turnover over the summer which made it a bit challenging for our older girl to have consistency when she was potty training, but we have always felt supported through challenging kiddo phases and now they have had the same teachers for many months whom they love. They are learning so fast and our little one's language is exploding and she is starting to sing and count because of the awesome activities her teachers plan. Both girls love their friends in their classes and look forward to going every day.
