I came during posted-open hours and they were closed. The shoes are good, and expensive, but since I’ve worn them for decades the service doesn’t matter as much And they know it. I find it rude that they close with no notice as it appears to be routine for them.

Back in the USSR...During their business hours, I brought my 93 years old father to the SAS store in Seattle. Despite the fact that this company is elderly-oriented, there is no load-unload or handicap parking space in front of the store, so we parked in the general parking area, and my dad, heroically, walked to the store. The sign on the front door stated: "will be back at 2:45p." We headed back to the car, as it was freezing cold outside. Please keep in mind, we are in the middle of a holiday shopping season, and this store is closed?Very disappointing!

Jim Pallotta at this Seattle, Washington business is the BEST ! When I desperately needed a comfortable pair of dress shoes in a hurry, he expeditiously got my shoes out in time for my spontaneous Holiday event ! What a thoughtful, kind, and gracious person he is. He even thanked ME, when I should have been thanking HIM ! REALLY decent... and the shoes look elegant without compromising comfort.

I was really excited about the boots I saw in the window. I checked in that day about the price and they said near 300 but because of COVID they were having a sale a week ago for 150. They told me to get approved for the sale price I would have to speak to the manager. She is only available on Mondays, when I got there, she said that she could not provide the sale price for me. I was a little upset because I felt like I was bait and switched, regardless I needed a new pair of boots.I was informed of the 30-day refund policy, and everything seemed fine. Initially (first 10ish days) I only wore them indoors because let’s be honest 300 for a pair of shoes is a chunk. I was ecstatic about them, and I decided that I would keep them because they were fantastic. However, that first day that I wore them outside, I went to the park – it was a nice day (rained several days prior). I played ball with my dog and it was bad. The shoes filled with water; my socks were drenched. I was surprised, I was told they were waterproof? For the price, it seemed undoubtable that they would be. Because I did wear them outside, I literally threw out my opportunity for a return. I’m not sure if I was sold a fraudulent product or if this pair was defective but I was sad. For the next several days I wore the shoes (no more parks, only in dry environments – which in Seattle is literally indoors), they scuffed so easily and lost their color (black to matte dark grey). Id like to believe that I was sold a true SAS pair of shoes at their own shop, but I am doubtful.

The employee that works on Monday is super helpful and nice and that is why they are getting a three star review. Now for their shoes they are getting a 0 to 1 star. I was told to come to the store because I am on my feet 10+ hours a day and this would help my sore feet. Spent over $200 on shoes and thicker insoles and my feet are still in so much pain as if I were wearing cheap shoes. It was a waste of money and I do not think you should spend the money

The employees working there did not seem to care for sales. We called in early to make sure the item we were looking for was in stock, we confirmed two times after explaining the shoe size, model, etc and the employee confirmed they had it. So we made a drive from Bellevue to this store in the Saturday afternoon; traffic was crazy and took us 55mins. Then what we get at the store is that the employee who confirmed the stock over the phone had confirmed the wrong size so we wasted the drive of 55mins. They did not say sorry or seemed they were sorry. They just didn’t seem to care at all.. they were just like oops I must’ve looked at the wrong size. Uhh

SAS Shoes has a good selection of quality comfort shoes for men and women. The women's shoes I looked at were priced from $155 - $175. The saleswoman did measure my feet for correct sizing and put the shoes on my feet, but nothing more; the service provided was not like Shoes and Feet or The Walking Company where the salespeople are trained to analyze your foot issues and recommend certain brands, styles and orthotics. I ended up buying a pair of walking shoes and sandals and took advantage of the 30- day return policy--wear your shoes indoors to see if they work for your feet and, if they don't, return them within the month. The sandals didn't feel supportive enough so I returned them without hassle. The other pair is ok, but I have numerous foot issues that really require a more "orthopedic" type of shoe than SAS offers.
