I’ve shopped at this Safeway for over 10 years and have never had any major complaints. I just started ordering groceries for pick up a few months ago and have really appreciated how easy the process is, but what really left an impact is the customer service. The people bringing up the groceries have been exceptionally warm and helpful, really great experiences!

I come here out of convenience. You can go to QFC in the Alaska junction and get things half the price. Prices here are terrible, might as well go shop at Metro.

I love this Safeway. Everyone is so friendly and helpful and is always clean and well put together. I drive from downtown to come here because it’s just that good. Always has what I want.
Today however, the cashier with the really cutsie voice, not unlike Kitty Foreman from “that’s 70’s Show,” was kind of rude. I had v8 juice, simply limeade and a half gallon of milk that she insisted on putting in separate bags with items that were breakable like corn chips, cereal and fruit. She insisted on putting items on top of my eggs like butter and frozen items. I ended up letting her know that I would appreciate if we can keep items off of the eggs and can we put like items together and then she got really snippy and said that she does it like this all the time. I let her know that I’ve gotten home and my items have been damaged because of bagging things like this. She reiterated that she never had a problem and then thanked me for telling her how to do her job. Like what? And i asked her very nicely.
I will say she was super friendly to the person in front of me though…
So the one lonely star keeping my review from being 5 stars was because of that interaction.
Also she wanted to count how many bags I had and it was 6 but she said 4. Just saying.

The best Safeway in West Seattle. Get ready for a long wait though, I've never seen more than 2 checkout lanes open.

I contacted the Bakery at this Safeway to order a customized cake for my grand daughter’s third birthday. There my wife and I met an amazing baker Ms Keri who helped us with customizing a photo cake with our grand daughter’s picture. She is very knowledgeable and passionate worker. I found her extremely helpful and I highly recommend her.
Well done Keri! You are awesome!👏

8 piece chicken is not 5.99
I go to this safeway frequently for my breaks from work. I know Monday is cheap chicken day. I say to myself "cool I'll save money by getting nice hot chicken" unfortunately I was bamboozled by the chicken con artist. I asked him if the 5.99 8 piece chicken applies to the tenders and he said "yeah if it's chicken it applies." I say "okay may I have 4 spicy tenders and 4 regular" he proceeds to put 4 regular tenders in a bag and printed out a ticket. I think to myself okay maybe he's just separating them which is nice. Then he turns away and I ask "oh can I have 4spicy ones as well" and he says "you should've asked me at the same time" so he prints out another ticket...each bag of chicken says 8.22 or something like that. NOT 5.99! I say "hey the price isn't 5.99" he says "you're saving money look at the ticket" I say "why isn't it 5.99??" He says some other stuff trying to justify the price...at this point I'm annoyed and I know this is going to take awhile to get my point across to this guy who's arguing with me over his mistake. I ask if I can buy the chicken with them and maybe he'll ring it all up as 5.99 as the PAPERS SAY. he rings me up and it comes out to like $13?!?! But atthus point my break is almost over but I then ask if I can buy a BBQ sauce and he says with a tone "that's gonna cost MORE money 75 cents" as if I was stupid. I give him a dollar and he hands me back 22 cents. I walk away annoyed and angry and ate my cold chicken with anger and frustration. Next time if I see that guy working I'll pass and go somewhere else. His coworkers even tried to explain to him what Iwas trying to say and he just argued with them I don't know if it's because he was genuinely co fused or just too embarrassed to admit his mistake but that was a horrible experience

Prices are good but they let too many people bring in dogs that are clearly not service animals.

Empty with anything typically purchased by locals. They can't seem to order enough to NOT run out every week of the same stuff.
There is so much clutter down every aisle is difficult to get one cart through, nevermind passing by others.
Definitely colluding with other grocery stores nearby because none of them carry the same stuff.

I appreciate the structure of the building. They have "roof top" parking. The elevator took too long and the carpets smelled poorly. Once in the main building, i was able to select items that would not cause immediate death upon consumption.
Ok, i went to the deli and they had the greek orzo salad, which is straight ?. As the lady was weakly helping me, i wondered aloud, "?? DO YOU HAVE NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS HERE GREEK ORZO SALAD? ??". I didn't really care. It would have just been nice to take a glance at.
This asian woman went from "flimsy attempt to help with your Greek orzo salad" to "i don't speak English maybe my other 2 Asian co-workers speak English? No? Yes Theres a difference between an ingredient list and nutritional information."
The whole time im just like ???
And then he was like "so do you still want it?"

DO NOT go to the China Express/Deli... worst food ever and poor service by the employees. Woman with the purple dress and short manager, if you see them run... even the customer service manager had to call them out on how bad they are.
