Went there this morning 5:15am. All the cashiers are closed EXCEPT where you buy alcohol. The cashiers there a African American girl skinny with red hair and a mask on.she has the worst attitude like you’re bothering her by shopping there.this is the second time I went there at that time and the last.I will never go back at to her EVER! She basically ruined my day. And the store was filthy..just a totally bad experience

Getting to the pumps is a bit inconvenient because there is no direct access from Rainier Avenue South. I have never experienced a waiting line to get to the pumps. There is a very small convenience store. There are no rest rooms. The credit/debt card tire air pump rarely works and is a pain when it does. The prices are average. I give it a four because of its inconvenient access, no restrooms and the closet sized convenience store.

I've never seen a place get SO MANY REVIEWS, just to say how horrible it is!! Ha -Ha- ITS HILARIOUSLY AWFUL !! Thing is, it'd be a fine store if it wasn't for the loser employees. And they know who they are, and they are laughing every pay day because they treat customers with disrespect, they will ignore them when they need help, they talk to them rudely, and blatantly let you know that your presence bothers them. I returned an item that was already opened today, and after following the guy around saying "excuse me" 9 frickin times until I literally had him in a corner, he just stared at me blankly, mouth agape, and asked "What the (F) do you want me to do?" These people make the store disgusting- and in turn, I view the management as weak and pathetic. Look at all these reviews!!!!! Hire someone who will do something about it!!!!! You're an embarrassment to the franchise. And I seriously see NOTHING ELSE WRONG WITH THE STORE, and there are some stellar employees working there, but at risk of somebody mistaking this as a positive review, I can't even give them the proper praise, and that may just be THE WORST PART OF THE WHOLE ROTTEN MESS. These employees they have with the attitude are making the whole place stink. It's ridiculous. The end.

Never order groceries to be picked up. Waited 20 minutes after check in, had to go inside to have them get the order then received a message saying my order was picked up while I was still waiting.

I was going to update my review to a better score as the inside has improved a lot now that the construction is finished. Then looking at my receipt walking out I see I got scammed by one of their deceptive labeling practices. The cereal prices say "member price, must buy two or more, mix and match", but they don't actually mean mix and match between the products all carrying that price label. Nor is there any fine print noting which subset of products qualify for the sale price. I grabbed two boxes advertising this sale price and paid full price for them both at the register.Ridiculous. Do better, Safeway.

Last night I went to Safeway to buy some food. I have to buy 2 bags of Chia seeds for just $5/each if you have a Safeway card or $6 if you do not. But after I paid and go outside I double-checked again they're charging me $19.98 for 2 bags of Chia Seeds. Omg, I can't believe it because this is 3 times in a month they did the same thing. I came back and told them after that they refunded me $9.98. Just wanted to warn the customer please double-check your receipt again. Some cashier are ok but someone else does not respect customers. The customer service is so so badly. They need to retrain many times before working at the cashier.

Worst Safeway to go to for pick up grocery orders. It never fails, every time I go to pick up my groceries -- I'm there waiting for at least 20-30 minutes before they finally bring out my groceries. The past few times I've been there, I've had to call them to ask them what's taking them so long because I wasn't sure if they would ever bring out my groceries. I'm also frequently missing items, and also have items that I didn't order. Also, most of the time I go there, I'm lucky if I can find a spot to park in any of the "Pick up and Go" spots because people frequently just park there because either they can't read the clearly marked signs, or they're just too lazy to have to walk to far to get to the entrance. Overall, shitty experience every time and whoever is in charge of the pick up orders should be fired because they clearly aren't doing their job and neither are the other employees.

Went to this store at 10:15 today, which was a Sunday. I was charged for 5 items when I purchased only 4. I wanted to return my items and found the customer service counter had a closed sign. So I asked the self checkout clerk who was speaking with a lady who had a name tag which said manager on duty or manager in charge where I could take a return. The clerk told me customer service opens at 11. I looked at the manager thinking that she would say, here let me take care of your return. In fact she looked at me and then walked away. This store does not present any customer service skills. It seems like every employee is angry or distracted and it definitely shows in the way that they treat their customers. I don't know why I keep coming back to this pitiful store. I try to shop at the Newcastle store as their employees are always pleasant and take good care of their customers. This Rainier Avenue store should just shut down. It is a joke to shop there and it isn't safe to go there after dark.

Always decent gas prices especially with rewards discount! If almost $6/gallon is decent right?

They won't stop raising their prices! I used to go there because they had better deals than other stores, but not anymore. My bread has gone up by more than two dollars, the produces and milk are overpriced now. I am taking my business elsewhere.

Only issue. The scooters for the disabled & the management who seem to do little about that. I came in today my elderly Mother who is on portable oxygen, can't walk, is 81 needed a scooter to go to Chase inside the store. It was hot today. I noticed a woman sitting in the scooter she was by the lotto counter & she didn't budge. I noticed right next to her & the scooter she did have a walker probably hers. So why just sit stationary in the scooter not doing any shopping? I approached one of the employee's asking about a scooter when she looked scared that I asked her. She simply pointed over to the woman sitting in the scooter over by the lotto counter and said nothing. I asked the employee about a 2nd scooter there are supposed to be 2. She replied that the other one was stolen. So were was security? When I went inside the store to get a business card from the Chase bank the same lady who just sat in the store scooter was now outside the store with her walker. But no scooter anywhere anywere in sight. I used to be able to get a scooter for my elderly Mother. What happened to the scooters? Oh well I'll probably find them on e-bay for sale.

Generally clean, well-stocked store. Some nice employees, but mainly MANY surly, unfriendly ones. Not a happy place. Another big problem is the fact that there are always long lines. And don't then try the self-checkout to speed up your checkout. There are always problems there: malfunctioning machines and grouchy, non-communicative employees who will make it clear that they dislike their job or even dislike you. You will not feel welcomed or valued as a customer at this store.

The station is clean, safe, and spacious for many cars parking at the same time. The station opens 24/7, FYI. There is a convenience store nearby if anyone wants to buy something while waiting for the gas. Besides that, there are Ross, Tmobile, Safeway, Chase Bank, and Starbuck nearby for everyone
