I was hit by a Safeco insured driver. I was trying to be nice and not run up any medical bills and only asked to be reimbursed for damage to car, rental car, and the day of work I missed because of the accident. They won't pay anything for the missed work. They paid for most the damage to my car but won't pay for an alignment. They only would pay for a rental car at the discount rate they could get it at and not one that seats 8 like my vehicle. They couldn't get a rental car for a week so they reimbursed me for the week without thru them at the rate they would be able to get it at not the rate I'd have to pay. Long story short get an attorney if you are hit by a Safeco insured driver and go get medical treatment the day of the accident otherwise, they won't pay for you missing work that day. Next time I'll take the ambulance ride and rack up the $10,000 ER to have them run test and tell me to take it easy for a few days and everything will be better rather than just wait for a few days.

Very unhappy with Safeco, who has been insuring my home for the past 6 years. I received an email saying they were cancelling my insurance policy because of algae/mildew/moss/mold on the roof. They sent a report that had poor resolution aerial photos, showing one photo that looked fine and a second photo that had red streaks, without providing an explanation on why two photos taken on the same day would be contrasting. They requested that I have the building re-roofed! I had my maintenance man go up on the roof and take photos, and the roof was in great condition. Absolutely terrible service.

Safeco Is a damn joke. My father was in a car accident on Feb 9th. For some reason the towing Company wouldn't take his car to his house. They took the car to Graham towing. The car sat there seven days. Safeco basically advised they don't send an agent to assess the damage of your car at the tow yard. But have there own company . ( 3rd party), In this case Gerber Collision in Puyallup, come tow your car to their facility. So, at this point Car has been towed twice and has sat at Graham towing for seven days . Growing fees by the day as well as the tow fee. So now I realize why the guy refused to take the car to my home. So Now Gerber Collision has had my car since February 16th. I have called them every 4 days or so to see when they will assess my cars damage . It took them Until Friday March 1st to give me an estimate. This after I complained at my Safeco agent a few times. Safeco told me I was on my own that they do not deal with Gerber Collision. So Now Gerber Collision wants me to come sign an agreement to approve fixing the car. They tell me this Late Friday before they close. And they will Not start repair until I sign. Well. then they were closed all weekend. I went today to sign and mind you they have now had my car for 17 days. And mind you it has been 24 days since the car accident . I am now being told they Will Not give me an estimate of time. Meanwhile Nothing from Insurance. TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY WHEN I SWITCHED TO SAFECO I PREVIOUSLY HAD TOWING AND CAR RENTAL. I ASKED FOR THE SAME COVERAGE. I AM NORMALLY ON TOP OF THIS. COME TO RERALIZE THE AGENT SCREWED ME. I HAVE NO RENTAL COVERAGE. TO realize all the fraudulent waste between Graham towing and Gerber Collision. Safeco has left me high and dry. To boot I looked at the reviews for Gerber Collison. They are atrocious. Just looking at the facility says so much. I have a hard time understanding why Safeco has contracted with them

We have been policy holders for homeowners, auto, and umbrella coverage for 21 years with Safeco/Liberty Mutual. We filed a claim after a small fire. Our belongings were loaded in a truck to be cleaned due to smoke. That was 45+ days ago. We cannot get an answer from Safeco/Liberty Mutual, either from our local agent or national office, so we can get our belongings back. This is how two 70 year olds are living now. Camping in our own home. This is not right.

Hi. This is Louise Sullivan. I have Safeco (Liberty Mutual) Insurance through the Crest Insurance Agency in Tucson. Crest has been very helpful in setting up my insurance for me. I now have damage to my roof from hail and storm, and the Claims Adjuster William Parker stated it also had other circumstances associated with the roof. I was told by Mr Parker that the roof would be totally replaced in the amount of $xx. Instead, the settlement received was in the amount of $x; half the size of what was told to me. My happiness over Safeco is now very sad. I am assuming since Safeco Insurance is a very reputible company, and recommended to me by Crest, that this issue will be solved and resolved. I will recommend Safeco again at the time that this roof issue is resolved, and then move the star rating to five stars, when that time occurs. Bye for now!

They are awful! My homeowners policy was cancelled recently because I had the audacity to make 2 small claims last year, due to weather related damage, costing $2500. I'm a senior and I had no idea what to do! I had their policy for almost 10 years. They are despicable people! Don't ever call them with questions about your policy! They will enter it as a claim, and use it against you as an excuse to cancel!

Safeco isn’t accredited w Better Business Burial Safeco is a SCAM and FRAUD So-called Agent Jay was rude and unprofessional, and he’s representing Safeco? Lol ,I found out many ppl had problems w Safeco .I never got traffic ticket nor accident My coverage went from ( 3 months ( ( $246 to$383) , I’m back w Geico againNever had problems w Geico, trying to save money actually cost more .. stress and Safeco tried to dip onto my bank for more $$$$$Shame on you Safeco, I hope BBB shuts you down or customers sue Safeco and I’ll be right there to testify

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Safeco Insurance. Initially, I was provided a written quote for my car insurance, which was estimated at $2500. However, when it came time for a payout, I was shocked to receive only $1500. This significant discrepancy between the promised value and the actual payout left me feeling deceived and undervalued as a customer.This experience has not only left me with financial hardship but also a sense of mistrust in the company. I expected Safeco Insurance to honor the written quote they provided, especially considering the trust I placed in their services. The lack of transparency and follow-through on their part is deeply disappointing.I strongly urge others to carefully consider their options and thoroughly review the terms and conditions before choosing Safeco Insurance. It's vital to have clear expectations and assurances, so you don't find yourself in a similar situation.In summary, my experience with Safeco Insurance fell far short of what was promised, and it has left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. I will be taking an action legally to deal with this grave injustice

Idiot company. My car insurance was cancelled by the company, probably because I had a small accident last year which costed $3000. I understand that. But the company didn’t notify me or my agent. Now I have been driving two months without insurance!

I purchased a Texas minimum auto liability policy from Safeco/ Liberty Mutual Insurance. via agent Coverhound Solutions, Carlsbad Ca. I rejected their enhanced policy coverage for around $ 70.00 which is not a mandated requirement by Stat Of Texas. The agent refused a credit and contacted Safeco directly and they refused also. The Enhanced policy showed Mexico like I was going there. Long story short they are committing fraudulent acts by refusing my rejection on policy. This company is unethical and a thief. I urge the readers here to join in with me for a class action suit. No doubt Safeco/Liberty Mutual is running a scam/scheme forcing liability customers in the millions to buy this un-needed enhanced ad on putting hundreds of millions of dollars through this fraudulent scheme.

Safeco is awesome if you want to never be able to talk to anyone. Stay on hold until you get a general voicemail. Send an email and hear back several days later. Respond to email, no reply. Call the agent that sent you the email using the direct phone # you got from the email signature, no answer no call back.All in attempt to make a policy change for an existing policy. Great you can make policy changes online! except when you do, it takes you to an "oops it looks like this is a matter for your agent "

The worst customer service ever! Extremely rude. My vehicle was hit while it was parked and the claims process was a joke! No communication with the body shop and I ended up being without a vehicle for 3 weeks. Then my insurance more than doubled with no notice or notification they just took the money. Then I canceled the policy and they made up some garbage that I owed more money? Sent no notification or explanation just sent it to collections when I had no knowledge that they bill even existed.

Liberty mutual through safeco is the worst insurance I have ever experience 1) They recommended that I should NOT call the police when I was rear-ended by un-insured driver 2) paid me 70% of what my clean title perfect condition truck was worth after accident. 3) Insurance adjuster ignores 70% of my texts/emails.

I had coverage through Safeco for the past few years. This year my premium more than doubled without any kind of notification. I hadn't filed any claims, had tickets, or accidents. When I discovered this and called to talk to them, they were unable to justify the increase. I switched companies. I'm now being texted by a collections company. It appears they've turned me over to collections without having billed me for any amount owing. Such BS.

They cancelled my policy for a fender bender that happened almost a year ago. I have never had a claim with them until last year. I got a letter in the mail this month saying they are cancelling my policy. My agent didn't even get contacted by them.....I have never been treated so poorly and I am glad to not use this company any more and I will be sharing this experience with friends families and on social media.
