Front desk reassured me that X-rays wouldn't be necessary for a cat asthma exam. Vet looks at him for 2 min and says they won't provide treatment without an $800 x-ray/bloodwork first, standard protocol.
If they had told me up front then no issues but feel like I got bait and switched. Won't be back.

We rescued a Shih Tzu off the street and we called around to all the vets in the Seattle area and they were all full but Rainer Vet was there for us to come in the next day. They were great with the dog and we will be going back.

I had to go back and change from a 5 to a 3. They used to be amazing, now they seem like they over prescribe. They put my dog on antibiotics 3 times in one year which really messed up his stomach and made him really sick.

I have been a loyal client of Rainier Veterinarian Hospital for 17 years, starting with my first Husky back in 2007. Over the years, I have entrusted the care of my beloved pets to the wonderful team at Rainier, and I am now bringing my third (Jiro), fourth (Koba) and fifth (Nagi) Huskies to this exceptional facility.
One of the standout aspects of Rainier Veterinarian Hospital is the unwavering dedication and expertise of Dr. Beestman. Although Dr. Beestman may not have joined Rainier Veterinarian Hospital in 2007, she has been our go-to veterinarian for many years now, and I cannot praise her enough for the compassionate and thorough care she provides. From routine check-ups to more complex medical issues, Dr. Beestman has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of my Huskies' needs and has always gone above and beyond to ensure their well-being.
The entire staff at Rainier is friendly, professional, and genuinely cares about the animals they treat. Whether it's the front desk team, the veterinary technicians, or the support staff, everyone works together seamlessly to create a welcoming and stress-free environment for both pets and their owners.
What sets Rainier Veterinarian Hospital apart is their commitment to staying current with the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. They have state-of-the-art equipment and offer a wide range of services, ensuring that all aspects of my pets' health are covered under one roof. This level of comprehensive care gives me peace of mind, knowing that my Huskies are in the best hands possible.
Over the years, Rainier Veterinarian Hospital has not only provided exceptional medical care but has also become a trusted partner in my pets' lives. Their dedication to their patients and their families is truly remarkable, and I am grateful for the many years of outstanding service they have provided.
If you are looking for a veterinary hospital that combines expertise, compassion, and a genuine love for animals, I wholeheartedly recommend Rainier Veterinarian Hospital. Dr. Beestman and her team are simply the best, and I look forward to many more years of bringing my Huskies here.

I made a mistake. I brought my dog here for convenience. my dog was treated for a foxtail on his paw. 2 weeks later, paw infected. Return visit request was granted w/ o difficulty. Same day availability. My Animal was anesthetized, sedated and foxtail retrieved. Vet returned dog to me post procedure with open wound with No Discharge instructions, until I waited 15 min for vet to talk to me. Now 24 hrs -48 hrs later he is still listless and not eating. I Suspect he was over medicated. ( I'm a 38 yr , highly trained medical professional) When I called to discuss this ,( Nathan) the person in charge told me they had absolutely no time to see him and I should take him to emergency vet, I objected and he refused a appointment. Period. In other words, somewhere else. Seriously? I'm flabbergasted . Unbelievable! Never again will I ever return to this facility. Cold, Unethical, inhumane and incompetent. You have been warned.

Very good pet hospital, more expensive than I'm used to but good place to get your pet looked after. Just wish they were a more complete pet hospital and wish they were a 24 hour place as well.

We have had great experiences with Rainier Vet over the past 2 years. It's always easy to get someone on the phone and schedule appointments at a convenient time. Our dog is treated well by all the techs and veterinarians. We just went in for help with a sustained reaction to environmental and food allergens, and the vet was very comprehensive with her exam and suggestions. The prescriptions even ended up costing less than I expected, and it's so convenient that they can fill them in-house.

My husband Zach and I recently took our German Shepherd, Sky, to Rainier Veterinary Hospital, and the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. From the first phone call, the receptionist was attentive, patient, understanding, and genuinely concerned about Sky's recent digestive issues.
When we arrived for Sky's appointment, we went a few hours early for a meet and greet to help Sky get more comfortable with vet visits. I love that they provide this fantastic service to meet and greet before the appointment starts! (They ask that you call once you are there before you go in with your pet.)
We were welcomed by Kyren, the vet tech, who was exceptional from the start. His unique understanding of Sky's behavior, not judging her for expressing her discomfort, but instead empathizing with her, was truly remarkable. Kyren's personal connection, sharing that he has a shepherd mix at home, reassured us that we didn't need to "shush" Sky when she was vocalizing. His calm and understanding approach made Sky feel more at ease, especially with treats and the presence of our other dog, Storm, who was also welcomed for the meet and greet.
Kyren's thoughtful arrangement (once we arrived for her 4 pm appointment) of placing us in a room with a side door, allowing us to avoid passing other dogs or staff, greatly contributed to Sky's comfort. During the visit, Kyren and Dr. Rivers worked seamlessly together, demonstrating exceptional kindness and knowledge. They ensured that Sky and Storm received exams, even providing anti-anxiety and flea medications for both dogs, despite Storm not having an appointment. Their actions, going above and beyond, truly showed their genuine care and concern for our pets.
I have never experienced such outstanding care at any other veterinary clinic. Kyren's expertise in canine and breed-specific behavior, his knowledge, and that of Dr. Rivers made this the best veterinary visit ever. Kyren's kindness, patience, and genuine love for animals truly shone through, significantly impacting our experience.
Thank you to all the staff and Dr. Rivers at Rainier Veterinary Hospital. We are especially grateful to Kyren for being an exceptional vet tech and human being. His dedication and compassion for pets are evident, and we are forever thankful for the outstanding care provided to Sky and Storm. We cannot express our gratitude enough for the exceptional care and understanding we received.

We are so grateful for RVH! We had a terrible experience with another clinic where they didn’t test our senior cat for a UTI when she had symptoms because they assumed it was her CKD. We took her to RVH when it got worse for a second opinion and by then she needed a month of antibiotics. Ever since then we have only gone to RVH. They have been amazing about getting us an appointment fast and we receive such great care from a very kind team. Thank you from us and Beanie!

Fantastic, caring vets who remember my dog every time we come in. They never try to upsell you and all their prices are very fair. I highly recommend bringing your pet here!

I had to switch to this vet clinic after my previous one closed, and it seemed promising with a quote of $500 for my cat's teeth cleaning, the cheapest I found after calling numerous clinics in Seattle. But upon attending a new patient appointment, I was shocked to be told the actual cost would be $1500. Not wanting to do a new client appt somewhere else, I had to go 2 hours out of town to a vet I had before I moved, $400 cleaning.
Then, when I returned for a separate issue, (not having time to find another vet)—my cat's acne and ear trouble—I was charged $141 for a brief examination and swabbing of the ear. The prescribed medication, a simple ear wash and antibacterial cream, cost an additional $109. Shocked by the steep prices, I purchased the same medication from Chewy for 1/4 of the cost.
If you're considering this clinic, beware of their deceptive pricing tactics. Despite their initial promises, their actual charges are exorbitant. It's advisable to seek out more affordable options with transparent pricing.
