One of my favorite Seattle stores!! They have the best selections of natural remedies around. I love the new owner too! She's very kind and helpful in the natural remedy sphere. I recommend Rainbow for all your supplement needs!

Love the variety of things available here. I like the bulk herb section and the small bins of various semi-precious stones. Also great is the availability of biodegradable, earth friendly cleaning products for body, home and laundry.

Went for the first time today and let me tell you… I went a little crazy from all the natural things they have for just about everything. I have bad eczema and autoimmune and I came to get teas , calendula. I highly recommend coming here. The staff was so friendly and helped me grab eveything I needed. The prices are just right.

I am concerned that this is going from being a legitimate natural medicine store to a new age type place. I don’t care for the new vibe and I think that product selection has suffered. I’ve loved this pace for two decades but don’t really like visiting anymore.

I'm going to start this by saying, I really hate giving out negative reviews. I also waited to write this review until I gave Rainbow Natural Remedies a few more chances. But unfortunately, today's visit will be my last. I came into the store with a general idea of what I wanted to purchase. There were 3 employees working and only one other customer in store. I didn't receive a greeting, any acknowledgment, or even a smile - nothing. I felt like my presence was a nuisance. Their selection of products is vast and impressive (+1 star), but overwhelming if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. I would be more knowledgeable of what to buy if staff would be helpful and open to questions. I walked up to someone stocking a shelf with products in my hands, said "excuse me?" to ask for help, and the person just scooted away without looking at me. Yeah, no. After walking a lap around the store trying to get anyone's attention, I waited near the register with products hoping they would at least try to cash me out. Nothing again. I waited 3-5 minutes without anyone coming to help or even a "I'll be right with you" although there were workers on the floor. I just put my products away and left. I can't support an establishment that prides itself on high vibes and wellness but makes their customers feel like sh!t. Today's experience has been consistent with the past 2-3 other times I've been in and I won't be returning.

I want to share my experience with this store, i feel like they aren’t wellcome to everyone. I live close to that store and been there several times and this isn’t something i felt first time. Whenever i visit that store they kinda ask me do you need any help in a manner kinda i am trying to steal from the store. I am myself very sensitive person, and can feel when people can be different to me. Anyway wanted to share, if you noticed the same passive aggressive behavior please share here too. So everyone will have better view about this store.

*CULTURAL APPROPRIATION WARNING* I have been a customer for many years, but will no longer be purchasing from this store. A few months ago I was uncomfortable to notice that this store sells white sage - a plant that many indigenous folx have shared is a sacred medicine that is being overharvested and should never be sold commercially. Then, this spring I walked in to see a full display of smudge kits packed with different sacred herbs and shells. There was no information about where these were produced or how they were harvested. Smudging is a closed practice, and there is no excuse for an herbal shop to be unaware of this in 2023. Indigenous people have done immense amounts of activism making this very clear. So this means either 1. the shop owners are intentionally uninformed (a quick google search will educate you on why smudging is cultural appropriation) or 2. know that this is cultural appropriation and don't care about the harm being done. Stop selling these items immediately.

This place is always fun to walk into. It's my go-to place for bulk tea.

Healthcare, self-care, my goto for bulk herbals, spices, and more. They have a decent amount of bulk herbals (lion's mane, mugwort, dandelion root). Prices are good too. Pro-tip: buy what you need and go often. They replenish stock so your supply is fresh. As a Pagan and witch, I appreciate the variety. Shop small, shop local.Take some time to walk through the store. They have *a lot* squirreled away in different corners. You can get storage jars, loofa, soaps and some witchy products.Staff is helpful but always busy. Plan your trip.

My team at Bastyr found this gem in Capitol Hill for me, to buy marshmallow root at a reasonable price, and I can! In any amount I wish!Once I was able to purchase 1 ounce, weighed in front of me, neatly bagged in paper. Another time 6 ounces, once again weight and neatly bagged. This place is a witches dream if they carry eye of newt! (hint, hint)Everything herbal is here; come take a look!

Love the wide variety of healthy options for natural focused people. Bought Rosemary Gladstar's Herbal Recipes for Vibrant Health book, rosemary essential oil for cleaning, loose herbs and bee pollen. Always friendly staff and very knowledgeable or willing to learn together. Amazing! Highly recommended even if just visiting.

I worked for Rainbow for one shift, in which 3 employees walked out after a long standing manager was fired without warning or explanation. The owner (new since Feb 2022) verbally assaulted me as a result of this stress, so I also walked out. I returned tonight in desperate need for muscle pain relief, only to find this abusive owner has literally doubled - tripled the prices of actually everything, removed half of the store inventory, and is replacing it with cheap imported things easily available for $2 at flea markets. Please don’t shop here. I just wasted $27 on tea, which as soon as I can afford land to garden I will gladly give away these same herbs for free.
