They're great there! Always a warm place to get out of the rain and get a cup of coffee and someone to talk to. They are helping me with housing, too!

Absolutely wonderful nonprofit organization! I recently was given an opportunity to met in person some of their peer support specialist, manager of coaches , program manager, (CEO W/ PEER WASHINGTON) some volunteers and members who are actively engaged in services and coaching. It was a beautiful experience to collaborate with peer seattle as I am a coach with peer Olympia. The people I met did not disappoint. I believe they represented peer seattle well with their compassion to others, dedication to making a positive impact in their community and their all around kind hearted souls. If you don't already know but peer seattle was the first starting up in the 80's. Serving vulnerable people of Seattle and being a helping hand and a safe place for the LGBTQ+ Community and individuals seeking support for HIV/AIDS, ECT. They have continued to expand throughout Washington and will keep moving forward with outreach, justice for the unrepresented and awareness. Peer Seattle is committed to being the change you wish to see in the world. Go in there and ask for a peer recovery coach or attend a recovery coach academy and become a certified peer coach yourself! You will see that they offer various support groups for a wide range of topics which makes it certain that at peer Seattle you will find a support group that meets your needs. also there's the trained staff members who are specialist in many different things and can help you! Don't be afraid, you are not alone, if you're in the peer Seattle location please walk in, it just may change your life for the better and you can discovery who you really are and find your true potential and be your best self with the support and love from the peer Seattle crew :) thank you for all that you do for our community, peer Seattle (:

So it isn't easy to find good support, especially in a community not openly supported. It takes a special kind of support sometimes.Pros:LGBTQ friendly, and literally for the communityPublic assistance availableThe money guyThat employment specialist is amazingCons:Masks, ughI am, for the first time, unsure how to start a review. There are so many things to report on. New format:1. Peer employment specialist. Ruth is NOT someone that will talk down to you about how good she is, what she does, and how you need to get better. She is here, as a peer (on your level) to help you. She is smart, dedicated, down to earth, knowledgeable, and wants to see you succeed.2. The "money guy". Steve is the financial advisor here at Peer Seattle and for those people like me with zero sense in money handling, he breaks it down for me. I was super appreciative for this service.3. Peer groups. Everything from adult children of alcoholics to groups for transgender people and even focus groups to build you up, run by a group of peers and set in a safe and welcoming environment.Give them a call if you need assistance. They also take state insurance so that is a huge plus for assistance and qualifying for such.
