Would give zero if possible. When I rented the car online, I was charged a certain amount. A few weeks later when I went to pick up the car, they told me there would be an additional fee of $250 but that I would be refunded that upon return of the car. Had the car for a week, returned it in perfect condition. I waited a few days because I know a refund can take awhile. I reached out to customer service after a week or so to let them know it was not taken off yet. They told me it could be up to a month. Annoying, but OK, no biggie. The month mark hits and no refund. So I reach out again. They tell me to reach out to my bank...so I do. My bank takes off the $250, but then Payless Car Rental bills me back for the $250 just a few days later! So now, its been almost two months since I rented from them and I am STILL trying to get my $250 back. Unreal

I payed for a car at a certain time and they told me I had to wait at least two extra hours to pick it up after I already paid. They wouldn’t allow me to cancel and I lost over $200. They have terrible customer service and were unhelpful.

There was a long line with only one agent working. Do yourself a favor and book with another business. No other counter had a line. Wasted a lot of time!

Do yourself a favor and rent a a vehicle from another company. This company provided me a tesla model 3 that I could NOT charge, they left me stranded for literally 6.5 hours on an August for a tow truck. It took a total of 8 hours to finally get a replacement vehicle and they did NOT reduce my bill for the literal 8-hour inconvenience! They TRIED to bill me $828 for the towing as well! LMAO I don’t have anything nice to say about my experience. They ruined my vacation and they don’t care at all. Next time, I will go with Hertz or something…YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Added additional gas fees to my bill after I talked to the return personnel and validated a full tank.
On return, they asked if the tank was full and I said yes, as I filled it at the gas station less than 10 minutes prior. However, once I received my receipt, they added an additional fuel charge. This could have been handled when I returned, but of course, they waited to add the charges until I was in the terminal.

Would give a Zero star if I could. BEWARE!!! Upon arrival they did not have a vehicle to match what I paid for. They offered to give me a minivan or a jeep instead. Neither of these is the luxury vehicle I paid to rent. Would have considered the swap if they were able to offer me the discount for the downgrade. But they didn’t. So they send me downstairs to pick a vehicle. At this point the line has more than 30 people in it that are disgruntled and the 2 gentlemen handling the mayhem are too overwhelmed to care. So needing a vehicle I had to settle for a coupe. 3 hours and driving the car I didn’t rent, I was able to finally make my way to my destination. They did not offer any discount or try to make it right at all. Would never choose this company again. Payless is right but the service and guarantee you’ll get what you want is farce. Hands down worst car rental experience ever.

The worst car rental experience ever had hands-down. From the second I got to the rental car place to second I got the car and they won't answer the phone. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!!!!

Disappointing Experience
I recently rented a car from Payless at SEATAC and was surprised by the extra fees added to my bill. I ended up paying an additional $90 due to charges for Wifi. I'm still unclear how much they will charge for a "LOST" i-pad I never received from the beginning. The staff at the parking garage weren't able to clarify the exact amount. Please keep in mind that all of this is happening at the airport and time is of an essence.
I was not clearly informed about these fees during the booking process at the counter, which felt deceptive and unfair. The lady that helped me with the booking at the counter appeared to be in training.
While the car itself was satisfactory, the unexpected fees and poor customer service left a sour taste. I would caution others to carefully review their agreements and ask about all potential fees before booking with Payless Car Rental.

Be prepared to call customer service due to extra fees. Overall the car is very clean upon receiving. I would give them another try to see if my opinion changes

Booked thru Alaska airlines. Flew to Seattle for an appointment. Took 2 hours to check out my rental car. Missed appointment. Avoid at all costs.

Do not use them! They will rip you off. They do not disclose charges and over bill you when you return your vehicle. Use anyone but Payless.
