Awesome Vet clinic. I feel listened to and that they like my dog!
The Vets and vet assts are always kind and informative. It's a well run clinic with employees who like what they do, it shows.
I came to NSVC after a terrible experience at a clinic I had taken my dogs to for over 14 years. When my last dog passed they were lacking in attention and care. It was a terrible loss and I decided if I ever got another dog I wouldn't take them there.
So happy to have found NSVC.

I've been taking my dogs here for years along with my father who passed away 20 years ago when it was on lake City Way. I recently took my new pet there to get vaccinations and the vet said I would have to come back to finish the vaccinations. He had taken my dog to a back room and came back fairly quickly so I was not concerned but when I came back a month later I felt it was rather a rip off to pay for examination when they were going to take my dog out of the examination room for a tech to give him his remaining shots. When I asked about this they told me it's because they wanted to ask me questions about my dog. That's very expensive I said and she said "everything's expensive" When they took my dog back he was gone for about 15 minutes and he was screaming the whole time so I went back there and there was three techs with a towel over him which was obviously terrorizing him. I was very concerned I was like "Why didn't you just have me hold him in the examination room? It would been over in a couple seconds. I was told he was trying to bite them. He is a 12 lb Chihuahua rat terrier mix. If it takes three texts to hold a 12 lb dog down and give them their shots and 15 minutes to do it they obviously need more training and I'm paying way too much for this. Other clinics that I called have no problem with me holding my dog while they gave give him his vaccinations. When I mention this they told me that if he bit me it would be a liability for them. It's obviously not easier taking him to a different room to give him his shots if it takes three techs and 15 minutes. I could have signed a waiver, I could have muzzled him. I didn't know they were that inexperienced. Now my dog has PSD. This was yesterday and all last night he was waking up screaming and growling. It's not necessary to take my dog out of the examination room to give him a shot I don't see why I couldn't be there with him to support him and make him feel secure, he knows me, he doesn't know them and now he's was terrorized and tortured. It's obviously not easier to take him to an examine another room to give him a shots. This clinic is way too expensive for the inexperienced vet techs they have there. I will never be going there again .

I'm one of their oldest clients. Dr. Windom is great and is our go to.

I’ve been coming here for about 7 years for first my dog and recently transferred my cat as well. I actually used to drive quite a ways to visit this vet after moving. The last visit did not sit well with me, especially as I paid ~$600 for the annual exam with vaccinations for 2 pets only for my husband to be treated really unkindly by the vet technician. The vet was great and the technician was nice only when the vet was in the room. I would’ve forgave this but we were promised a written summary, such as which ear to apply the dog’s meds to and so forth afterwards. Summary never came. This is on top of the fact I have to only text to schedule an appointment, pay a deposit, the extraordinary increased charges, and rude vet technician. I also have gone through a rotating round of vets throughout the years. I can no longer recommend North Seattle Vet given the increased cost, lack of post-visit summary, and rude vet technicians.

My pets have been going to North Seattle Veterinary Clinic for almost 20 years! Every doctor and tech that we have seen has been kind, compassionate, thoughtful and professional. The staff is also wonderful! I recommend them to anyone who asks me! Thank you for all of your support throughout the years!

I was referred to North Seattle Vet when I moved to Seattle by my kind neighbors. I would not hesitate to do the same should anyone ask me for a recommendation. The staff are top notch, location and parking convenient, and the clinic clean with excellent hours.

Alarmist. Rude Receptionists. Unnecessary Stress.
They never got my cat’s name right. That may feel little but it shows the lack of care and respect they had for my pet.
I was passed from vet to vet so there was no continuity in care. They take animals into the back for tests and blood draws which stressed my cat out so much they would get inaccurate readings and they almost always asked me to come back in for another try to get a more accurate result (the “tech visit” was usually offered free of charge). The last time they took her blood pressure the result was 210, but at my new vet just a few weeks later, where I got to hold her while they took her blood pressure, she had a totally normal 125.
Receptionist were slow to help, they always made me feel like I was an inconvenience. For example they wouldn’t turn around when I walked in to check in, they would take phone calls while I was standing up there talking to them, and they were generally very cold and impolite. They scheduled so many appointments at one time the waiting room was usually full, adding to the stress on my cat.
Vets and vet techs were mostly kind and gentle, but they rarely explained things fully. One time I got a lengthy email about a supplement and they didn’t even tell me the name of the supplement let alone side effects or the reason she needed it.
Most of the diagnoses were alarmist and very expensive. Over time it started to feel like they were shaming me for being a bad owner if I didn’t spend the money to fix an issue they found, but once I got to my new vet I realized how all these things weren’t as bad as they seemed and could easily be managed over time by prioritizing the approach for a lot less! I had a lot of concerns about my cats reaction to medications and these vets would forget that, so it felt like I had to fight to advocate for her, and they were rarely able to get creative with an approach that helped ease my anxieties and address the issue.
Over 5 years of coming here how I feel was a slow build with just yearly visits until my cat hit that point where things start to go wrong more and I was realizing I was leaving this clinic in a panic - scared that she was going to die tomorrow from all these things they told me were dire and crazy expensive. They made me think she was in bad shape and was going to disintegrate. They didn’t help me prioritize her needs and they would condescend down to me so I didn’t ask too many questions. Emails went unanswered for days and I never felt like I got the full picture.
There is better care out there for your senior cat! Don’t settle.

Everyone from the front desk to the technicians and veterinarians are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and our older cat Sweetie has been doing really well under all their care.

Due to someone's misdiagnosis, my cat almost lost its life. I lost my parents last year, and if my cat, who is like a child to me, had also left my side, I don't think I would have had the strength to go on. But one call from Ibby saved my cat's life. This chubby kitty brings me so much happiness and gives me the strength to keep going. Thank you so much, Ibby!

My family and I have been with NSV since they started in Lake City. We changed vets once because we moved and we didn't really care for the service there so we came back...home. Everyone is treated like family and that has always been like that from day one.

Great communication and service . After surgery, they sent a photo of our dog and told us how he was doing. We are very happy to hear what he was doing. Also, they called us the evening and checked our dog’s condition. They provided a great service to us.

North Seattle Veterinary Clinic goes above and beyond for our fur children, always makes sure we're thoroughly informed, and are affordable vs the competition in the area.
