Going to give this review anonymously because I am fearful of the property management team here. I can say that the other negative reviews here are very truthful. I have been living here for a couple of years and moving out has to be the best decision I made. You can find better else where. The management is what makes this apartment unlivable.1. The management team here is made up of Hailey Johnson (leasing agent) and Fernando B. (Property manager) They both are extremely rude and take advantage of there tenants. Fernando yells at his tenants and is extremely complicated to work with. He is friendly at first but that doesn’t last long. He is also rarely in his office.1.Fernando is a scary person to work with. When he yells he is extremely aggressive and under no circumstances should a property manager be yelling at his tenants. If you are someone with disabilities DO NOT talk to Fernando alone.2. Hailey Johnson is the leasing agent and whoever hired her should be in question. She saids the units belong to her and they don’t. She also will snoop through your unit. I had hidden cameras as proof. She is dishonest to the tenants and tells the tenants they can’t smoke or vape on property but she gets a pass? She vapes in her office all the time now wonder why her teeth are stained yellow.3. Buildings is 90 percent white people. There are probably only 2 or 3 residents of color and they are mistreated the most.4. The building is OLD. Yes there is a gym here but the equipment is outdated and theirs not even a treadmill just two broken bikes and 3 dumbbells. Definitely not worth it. Also the plumbing and heating here are terrible. There is a Jacuzzi but it’s dirty and for an indoor pool it has bugs in it. Strange right?5. I don’t have any pros about this place and the reasons is if your paying more than $1500 to live somewhere you would except professional management and want to feel safe in your own home. I felt extremely unsafe with Fernando and Hailey as the team here. This building lacks in a lot of areas. BUT there are better apartments in the area a couple blocks down. You get the benefit of being close to the 1 line and you are in a safer building. I am happy I moved out a few months ago. PLEASE boycott north court apartments. The treatment here is unacceptable.

I've got very mixed feelings about my time here. I rented here sometime in the last two years. There are three things in particular which ensure I do not recommend this place:1) The noise. Holy cow. We got one of the "quiet", apartments (we were told by the employees) with "triple pane glass". The chronic stress that you accrue here from the nonstop I-5 traffic is real and so hard to deal with. Never in my life (living on sailboats, traveling on trains, etc) have i had to wear earplugs at night. I am not particularly sensitive to noise, and this was nuts. If you only know life next to a highway in a city, are deaf, and do not go into nature frequently, I could believe that the noise would not bother you. I'm no flowy granola person, but I can say with certainty that the stress and pollution you get from living 200 yards from I-5 will take years off your life.2) The single most unpleasant and unprofessional creature works here. Fernando is exceedingly difficult, very passive aggressive, and boasts the most fake and sinister personality of anyone I have interacted with in the past two years. He held over my head the fact that I had concerns about this complex which I expressed in private to another employee, telling me that "We know who you are. You're the one who reads the reviews. We hear everything here. We hope it all goes smoothly as you move through here." [Insert slimy fake smile]You can certainly tip toe around this person, and he may even offer constricted and fake niceties to you. But as with any underdeveloped individual, their true level of development and character cannot be hidden for long. You will see for yourself.Worrying that this snaky ball of negativity may contribute to your day being ruined, or that employees are talking poorly of you behind your back is not a feeling you want to have when you live where he works.3) The overall lack of humanness here.Have questions or concerns with how the management handles emergency situations (such as prolonged power outages)? Despite writing them kindly and professionally, you will receive an email saying something along the lines of, "You were informed of our policy in the lease agreement you signed".The lease agreement strips you of all rights and places more control in their hands than any other lease I've read. I let me next land lord read it and she was astonished. Little things such as your family paying for parking if they use the guest parking more than 3 days, to big things such as making you legally bound to inform management of your friends who may be staying more than a few days so they can charge you money for them. These all just make you feel unwelcome and uncared for. You get the sense that despite being a "family" business, nobody here actually cares about treating you like a human. The pros:The apartment complex is clean, with no smells or hints of insects as several have posted.Beyond all hope, I received my full deposit back (worked hard to clean it professionally). Most of your interaction will be with Hailey, who is a great professional pleasure to interact with most of the time. The sauna and pool (it is hard to do laps due to size) are nice benefits to have.I was able to pick up the end of another's lease and save some money doing so. This option, as I have been told by North Court, is no longer an option.Overall:If you are deaf, don't mind air pollution, intend on renting for a year and not interacting with management, then I would consider referring you to this place. Some things, like the noise, cannot be fixed. But other important things can.I would not move back here for all the tea in China.

I'm guessing all negative reviews are from past management 3, 4+ years ago cause this place is great.I lived here for more than one lease and the only reason I moved is because I bought a house. Kinda sad because this was not only one of the most affordable apartments I've found, but the quality wasn't what you would expect from being so cheap. I found out that it is a family owned complex, which is why they aren't out to get you on pricing and charges. Not only rent but wsg and parking is cheap ($30-$50 range/ea).Clean apartment, attentive staff, security on site, cameras all over the place to help feel secure. For all of these things at the cost they charge, easy 10/10. Nothing's perfect but even when I had a small leak needing repaired from before I moved in, it was handled quickly. Unless you want the most modern and new appliances and counter tops, there's not much to complain about.Couldn't ask for more

Great experience living there. We lived there for 4 years and every time we had an issue, the management helped us right away! Fernando was great to us and very friendly! The hallways were cleaned almost weekly. Our place was very clean so the deposit was returned fully and right away! If you are a good tenant, you’ll be treated very nicely I believe, so don’t believe all negative reviews here.

This apartment complex has its problems. Visitor parking is awful, laundry facilities are sub par and they have very strict lease terms and rules. I gave 3 stars because the apartments are pretty decent as far as size, cleanliness, and if you are here for a short stay. Recently, I gave one star. I changed my rating because the management is working with me on my move out date. As far as I'm concerned, companies get one star for offering space or service, and the other stars are for the support and the service.

I moved here right before coronavirus hit, and it ended up being a nice place to self-quarantine. Most of the reviews I've seen don't reflect the experience I had, so I wanted to share mine with both pros and cons. The units are quite big for the price, so I never felt too cooped up when I was stuck in there for days at a time. Spacious balcony (mine overlooked the courtyard) and tons of storage in the living areas and kitchen cabinets. It's right on I-5 (which is great for commutes but I bet wasn't great for anyone living on that side of the building) and still feels well-monitored/safe with cameras in the garage, mail room, elevators, etc. The staff was super kind (Haley is the best!) and always gave notice of any repairs or issues. Utilities were a pretty low flat rate and covered parking was really affordable. Keep in mind the parking spaces are a little tight with many of them having a cement column next to it. The building is on the older side and it's pretty easy to tell that, so based on the hallway smell I was worried, but my unit had brand new carpets and paint, which I believe they've been doing with most of them. One of my least favorite parts was having to go downstairs for laundry, but there are two laundry rooms, and one of them was almost always completely empty when I used it.If you're looking for a new building with sparkly appliances then sure, maybe this isn't the place for you, but it was great for me when I was looking to shorten my commute and get some space upgrades.

Northcourt is a quiet little community tucked away. I have never had a neighbor be loud or obnoxious, everyone is very good at social distancing, and the unit itself is very nice for the price. I love the extra storage (seriously tons of it) and the option for renting a W/D. The laundry room is actually pretty nice as well! There are many access points, making it easy to get to your car (the parking lot is also a nice feature). The leasing agent Hailey is literally the best. I have never had a problem with maintenance (they fix things promptly) and the staff is overall pleasant. They have a nice little lawn that gets lots of sunlight during the daytime and is perfect for laying out in the summer or (perfect for me) laying out my camping equipment to dry after a weekend away. It's a great little community for the professional or student to have a cute place that is quiet and away from the loudness of the city, yet still have access to it super quickly (the entrance to the 5 is literally around the corner). I'm not sure why people have left bad reviews, a bunch of Karens probably, but this place is right for the price and then some.PS.The homeless community mentioned in other reviews is no longer there.-Gage

There is insane growth of mold at this place, the manager of this property has nothing to do all day but to stick his nose in to your apartment. homeless people get in to parking garage once a week since there is a huge homeless spot behind north court building

There is a reason why people leave such a bad review to this apartment. All Im gonna say is that “ Just don’t live here!!”

The following is a review based strictly off of my experience/opinion while living at NCA... I lived at NCA for about 10 months, starting Oct '18, through Aug '19. I think my review can be best divided into 3 categories, 1- staff, 2-location, and 3- amenities. 1- The staff here is rude and unprofessional. I didn't deal too much with the leasing agent during the time of my lease. However, I did deal with the maintenance man, Fernando (??), on several occasions. He is rude, unprofessional, and "creepy". There were occasions where I witnessed him losing his temper. He also had a tendency to just show up and linger... when I was taking out the trash, coming back from a run, etc. I was living alone, so having a safe place to live was at the top of my list. I did not find that at NCA. 2- The location of NCA is going downhill. It is close to i5, and across the freeway from Northgate "Mall." However, the entire mall is in the beginning stages of a remodel. On the sides of the freeway there is a homeless tent city. There is one at the North on ramp, and the South on ramp. Because of the homeless situation around NCA, my car was broken into, there are homeless people living out of grocery carts on the sidewalk. I have seen the city try several times to clear them out, only with the homeless population returning days later. 3- Check the amenities out for yourself! The trash is ALWAYS overflowing, the "gym" is literally a weight rack and a bike, the kitchens are old and dirty, my packages were stolen from the mailroom on several occasions.
