A good simple sandwich that's better than subway and more neighborly

I recently moved to the Olympus Apartments, and to my delight, I discovered the New Town Market right in my building. This delightful gem has quickly become my go-to spot, and I couldn't be happier with the experience.First and foremost, let's talk about their deli sandwiches. They are nothing short of a culinary delight. The selection is impressive, and each sandwich is crafted with care. The combination of fresh ingredients, mouthwatering fillings, and perfectly baked bread creates a heavenly experience with every bite. Whether you're a fan of classics like turkey and Swiss or looking for something more adventurous, they have it all. The sandwiches here are a true treat for the taste buds. What sets New Town Market apart from the rest is not just their fantastic deli sandwiches but also their gourmet market selection. The microbrews, cheeses, fruits, and assorted foods are a food lover's paradise. Whether you're planning a cozy night in, hosting a gathering, or simply craving a midnight snack, this market has you covered. The variety of choices is impressive, making it easy to find something for every palate. Now, let's talk about the staff. They are an absolute delight. Their warm and friendly demeanor makes every visit a pleasant experience. Whether you're a regular customer or a newcomer like me, you'll be greeted with a smile and excellent service. The staff's helpfulness and dedication to ensuring customer satisfaction truly stand out.One of the real game-changers for me is that New Town Market is open late at night. It's a lifesaver on those occasions when hunger strikes after regular store hours. Knowing that I can rely on this place for a late-night snack or last-minute grocery needs is incredibly convenient and has saved me from countless late-night hunger pangs. In summary, New Town Market at Olympus Apartments is a hidden treasure that I am thrilled to have discovered. From the scrumptious deli sandwiches to the diverse gourmet market offerings and the wonderful staff, it has exceeded my expectations in every way. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone living in or near Olympus Apartments. It's more than just a market; it's a culinary haven that has made my life here even more enjoyable. Thank you, New Town Market, for being there when I need you most!

Lazy clerk told me something was wrong with my card (there wasn’t) because he was too lazy to reset internet, on his cell phone.

Went in a few times, didn’t tip because I bought myself sodas and chips, after the 3rd time the cashier started adding “custom item” of $0.50 to my purchase. Have not gone in since. Be wary of what they charge you!

Good selection of items especially when it comes to sandwiches and ethnic snack items, but service/friendliness from staff is quite lacking

Come in here occasionally for different things... grab a drinks, groceries, etc. Today I paid paid cash and the guy behind the counter would not give me all of my change. Went back and forth and he finally gave me the last bill and tossed the coins on the counter for me to pick up. Very disappointed

Place basically has everything you need and the sandwiches allow for the 5 star uptick. Shoot the shit with the dudes behind the counter they're fun

A few guys from my company went there twice in one week and the same older guy was there, they had 2 sandwiches made, it took 25 minutes, he moved so slow and never acknowledged the line forming behind them. He never said a word and had a Bluetooth speaker in ear and was mumbling to someone. They were there this morning too and decided not to order from him again because he was in an isle, totally unattentive and a kid waited for over 6 minutes in line and the guy did not put down what he was working on, did not acknowledge the kid. Co workers did not wait to even see if he eventually went to the counter. My Co workers have limited time to get lunch and will not be going there ever again.

Terrible middle eastern people here! Didn't let me use their restroom even though I was a paying customer. Terrible!

[From Sunday, 8/8/21 visit @ 11 am] I'll preface this generally negative review by (1) recognizing the gentleman was working solo and (2) there was a bit of a language barrier. I'm giving 2 stars, instead of 1 (which I really want to do), because the sandwiches were decent and due to the circumstances (e.g., he was by himself) the shopkeeper faced, although we were the only customers. That said: The gentleman who provided service with our 5-sandwich order was terribly rude, inefficient/slow, and although he had a facemask it was on his chin and did nothing, essentially - as he made our sandwiches! Come on, show some respect for your customers - especially since we all wore masks the entire time. We'll certainly never return to this deli/market. Perhaps the gentleman had a tough morning before we visited, but that's no excuse for the patently rude and bad service he provided.

Wowwww! I've heard SO many good things about this place. I've been dying for a Deli sandwich that wasn't "Subway" The Owner went out of his way this is the best sandwich I've had in 4 years being here!

New Town Deli is right where I live! So you can imagine how amazingly convenient this place is for me. I have been going here 2-3 times every week since I discovered it. I can get basic groceries - milk, bread, candies, snacks, and wines+beer. They also have a Boar Head sandwich counter, which makes for quick and dirty meals. All of this praise, and a 3 star review? That's because I would happily go to another place if I could. Everything is overpriced. The folks here keep changing and they are all quirky in their own way. One guy doesn't say a single unnecessary word and behaves like a strict teacher. Another one tries to joke around, but I struggle to get what he's trying to say. A third one is always watching something on his phone and just can't look away, even when I need to ask him something. I come here solely because of how close by it is and I would not recommend anyone to go out of their way to come here.
