Great store, just one thing: I’m fine paying 8 cents for a bag, but please don’t charge 16 cents to double bag three items. If it’s doubled as a “courtesy” then it should be a single bag charge.

Love Metropolitan Market, and this is their crown jewel, my favorite supermarket in Seattle.Awesome produce, good deli, fresh baked goods and everything in-between.

It’s 5:30 PM on a Sunday and they have decided to close their buffet which is advertised as being open daily from 11 AM to 9 PM. It’s 530 on a Sunday. That’s when people eat and sometimes people are so hungry that they’re willing to pay the absolutely ridiculous prices and deal with the rude people working at this market yet the market doesn’t want their business. What a joke.

Always the best in town. They have the best produce of any Grocery store in Seattle. You won't find better fruit or veggies anywhere else. This is literally the main reason I go here.

This used to be the best grocery store in Seattle. The products were fresh and high quality and the customer service was excellent. This is no longer the case and hasn't been for a long time. Now their prices are astronomic and when you ask an employee to verify if a price is correct when an item rings up incorrectly they tell you they can't help. Huh?This is on top of the fact that I have found expired products in their deli and on their shelves every time I have been there in the last 3 months. You can get products just as good at PCC and HIGHLY recommend you spend your dollars there (they also treat their employees better).

MM used to be a big deal in Kirkland, when we lived there. I don't know if it's just a different location or sign of the times, but service quality is non-existent in QA. The only reason I occasionally still go there is because they have McIntosh apples, but it is no longer worth the cost. We returned yesterday after receiving a $20- off coupon, but a very slow cashier just took it from us and never applied it to our purchase. Unfortunately, we didn't review our receipt before we came home.

2 Stars for excellent fresh chocolate chip cookies! But, don't forget your Xanax, you're in for a ride! I haven't been back here for years, and it's still.the.same. I was hoping that the culture and morale had improved slightly if only because I still live in the area. Nope, still chalk-full of depressed introverts and/or undiagnosed emloyees whom are proficient in the art of the shutdown; they would sooner clean the bathrooms or hide from you instead of answering your question. I notice a sick, jaundiced pallor take over their face when you are able to corner one in the wild (back area). Save your breath and your queries for they will feign ignorance or inform you in a microsecond that there is no sourdough anything, anywhere in the store. I go to PCC where the division is quiet and civilized, where both the client and owner fake the requisite number of pleasantries and gossip later, alone in our tiny, expensive studios.

I come from Germany and was very surprised about this large grocery store. The customers were also very friendly to me if I had any questions. I was impressed by the variety and quality of the products.

Just our favorite store. Expensive. But great salad bar, great produce, deli counter is great. The wine selection is stellar. We love the little housewares section. Have probably spent too much money there. However butcher is not great, not helpful and has done everything he can to not help me every time I ask a question. But I can get meat elsewhere. Overall we love this place. Parking is super easy.

I’ve been going to this metropolitan for years. My husband and I just moved into our new place and decided to come here to buy our first round of groceries. We got to the registers and waited a few minutes for someone to ring us up but noticed that everyone was going to the self checkout. Assuming that the registers might be closed we went to the self checkout with everyone else. As we started scanning our items, there was a few we didn’t want so we called for help. The associate (heavier build brunette with a spectrum piercing) came over and immediately looked annoyed and had an attitude when we asked her to take off a few items. She then told us that going forward not to come to the self check out if we have so many items. We tried to explain to here that no one is at the registers and she said yes there are and walked away. The rest of the time when we needed help even with our alcohol purchase she did not come over to help or check our ids she just stood talking next to the guard and approved everything from her device. After the way we were treated tonight we will not be coming here again

This store is amazing. The choices, the layout, the fresh foods available for a quick meal, and the friendly and helpful staff are the cherry on top!
