Really Terrible experience, owner and workers don't want accept Amazon/ups package because it little bigger. They were making excuses. I have returned same thing before.

Terrible experience. Brought my pre-paid FedEx package in the door. The person “helping” stood there hand on hip and said how can I help you? as soon as I said FedEx package they told me I would have to take it to a FedEx store ( not sure what the sign in the window saying “authorized Fed Ex shipper” is supposed to mean then?). Told me there was a Fed Ex store in Georgetown.
As an update to this review. Walgreens on 35th, also an “Authorized FedEx Shipper”, was able to take the package that Mailbox West rejected.

How does a mailbox place not provide receipts for package drop-off? They don’t insure your packages get to where they’re going… basically you drop your package off and hope nothing happens s to it and that it gets to FedEx?

If ever you though the post office was slow and incompetent wait until you visit here. The workers are retired and move like turtles basking in the sun. The man here was incredibly rude and the prices here are way higher than any other shipping place. Not to mention I’ve never been anywhere where customers packages are just left out and can be easily stolen. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE, go anywhere else!

Been a customer the past 2 years. Excellent service as a mailbox holder and also mailing out. Now that our West Seattle full-service UPS shop has closed, I wish this business would assume that role, but so far it’s a drop-off for UPS outgoing only if you have a fully prepared label you’ve done online. The staff are sooooo warm and courteous. This is a small local business trying really hard to provide great service! The negative notary reviews should be taken with a grain of salt because that is a technical process with complex rules subject to the notary’s interpretation, so they don’t lose their license. Also, it’s a lengthier service compared to shipping & receiving, so you might be asked to wait while the line of other customers is cleared. Lastly, I believe there’s only one notary in this shop, vs 2-3 others who don’t have that authority. And he might be on a break.

I've used them before for shipping and they're nice. However, I tried to get a document notarized (a POA for my brother who is selling my recently-deceased mother's condo) and the notary there refused to notarize the document unless I provided proof of my 1/8 ownership of the condo. Which means he doesn't even fundamentally understand what a notary's job is. My brothers, who are both lawyers, were flabbergasted. It was an enormous pain finding another notary at the last minute after waiting 2 days to meet this guy. Avoid if you need notary services.
