Cashiers are always grumpy and rude. Went here for years but won’t go anymore after several minor but irritating interactions.

Staff here are ever-present and non-intrusive, which is exactly what I need while browsing for parts and tools. When I do need assistance, everyone is very knowledgeable and ready to help.

They don't take my fresh new $100 bills. My money's no good here. Switched to Mclendon, they don't treat me like some money laundering criminal.

Always there when you need them, a great local business. Elwood at the service desk was amazing and went way above and beyond to help me.

If you want a true hardware store go to True Value. Forget the big box stores, especially Lowe's.

needed putty, door hinges, deglosser, boxcutter, bird seed, mouse traps, a porch light, paint, bathroom cleaner , candles & they had it all and a nice man was quick to help me find it. Save yourself a trip to HD, support a smaller store!

In the face of big box stores and Amazon, small businesses like these have one thing going for them: customer service. I once saw a young lady at the register repeatedly heckle a mother with a child about touching the toys that were for sale at the register. The poor mother was red in the face and almost in tears, out of embarrassment when she finally left the store. To be clear: the child was behaving perfectly fine, it was the cashier insisting that the child not touch THE TOYS that caused the child to be mildly whiny. When I went to check out with the same cashier, she started complaining about how awful children were and what a bad mother that person was. It was unprofessional and mean spirited. I recommended that she try to be more empathetic, particularly since the child wasn't being the least bit disruptive. I've seen multiple cashiers heckle parents about their children OR heard them complaining loudly about children. It's completely bizarre. I saw one of the male cashiers belittling a mother with a toddler today and it was the last straw, I will not shop here again.

i like shopping here because there is a good selection of products but more importantly the employees are helpful, patient with customers trying to make a choice and even will show a sense of humor when it's appropriate. i like it here.

Smaller store but has all the basics. Really nice staff. If you call in advance, they can confirm if they have something in stock. Street parking or pay lot across the street. Really busy corner behind California Ave.

Quality products, good selection, and unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable staff. The polar opposite of the big box chains.
