It would be lovely if they didn't have the customer bathroom closed for us shoppers. Also, stock and staff are in shortage at this store.

Store had the fabric that I wanted but there was a sign at the cutting area that the cutter was gone for an hour. When I asked the two employees standing at the front, chatting… they said that nobody could help the many folx waiting for their fabric to be measured/cut. Why at a fabric store, is there nobody available to cut fabric?

Fabrics in disarray and completely understaffed. Today I went to buy some velvet. Close to nothing is marked and it's near impossible to find sales help. Finally did find something .... Near... to what I was looking for. Went to the counter yo have a yard cut and they were closed for a half hour. . Last time I was here they were so short staffed the cashier had to close down completely to take a 15 minute bathroom break. Line was over 20 people when she returned. When you add this to the impossible parking and general grime, I'm done and won't go back...

I have been trying to buy felt fabric for months and although they have it listed on their website it it always out of stock. Very frustrating to find so many items never in stock at any of the locations or on line and impossible to communicate with anyone in management.

On 10/8/23, a Sunday, the store had ONE person at the cutting table. She kept asking for help, but nobody came. I saw an employee wandering around the store and asked him to help her (he could see how long the line was), and he said he couldn't right now. The line to the cutting table was deep, and I was about half way into it, with about 5 people in front of me and 5 behind. He finally came, about 20 minutes later, and by that time I was at the front of the line. I didn't detect the presence of a store manager, nor did I ask for one, but nobody seemed to be in charge, and nobody accountable. It was a waste of time, as is this review. I'm hoping to save other craft people their time.

I came into this JOANN location the other day to pick up an online order. Part of my order was unavailable, so I had to both pick up the remainder of my order and pick up a replacement for the item I ordered that wasn't available. I'd never done an online pick up before and wasn't sure quite how it worked, so I told the cashier, Alice, this when I got to her register. I told her I needed to buy the item I had just picked out and also pick up an online order. She didn't understand what I was asking I guess, because she very rudely said so. I apologized and said I'd never done this before so I wasn't quite sure of the process. I tried to explain it more simply, just that I needed to buy the item and pick up my online order. She talked down to me like I was a 5-year-old and sneered at me that I had to do it in two transactions. Sure, no problem. She rang up my item and asked if I had a phone number, I said I think so, so she tried it and it didn't work, so I asked if my email might work instead. She again, sneered at me that no, of course an email wouldn't work, as if I should have known or something. After ringing it up she still hadn't produced my other online order yet so I wondered if she had misunderstood me or forgot, and she still hadn't explained to me how it worked so after she rung up my item I asked a question about the online order. She was like "oh my GOD I already TOLD YOU it has to be in a SEPARATE ORDER what about that do you NOT UNDERSTAND?" I have moderate, clinically diagnosed social anxiety and I was just trying to understand the situation better and was constantly talked down to, treated like a child, and was treated as if I was dumb. I had asked several very sensible, easy questions and she mocked and sneered at me the whole while. If Alice doesn't like her job, she should quit it instead of treating her customers like she just treated me. In all my years of going to any kind of store, anywhere, I've NEVER had this kind of experience of being so blatantly mocked by a cashier before for no reason.

You need to update your hours on your website and information to 10:00 am to 6:00 Pm so your customers don’t sit and bake in their cars for an hour. You advertises 9:00 am - 7:00 Pm

I came in to this JOANN location to pick up part of a pick-up order. Of the two items I ordered, one was not available, so in addition to coming to get my pick-up order I also now needed to actually go in and pick out a replacement because I needed the items today. I got to the register and told the cashier (Alice) that I needed to buy the item I had picked out as well as pick up my online order, but explained that I had never done a pick up order and wasn't sure of the process. Alice proceeded to talk down to me like a child and berated me for her very confusing explanation. I asked her another question because I was still confused and she sneered at me that she already told me. I have diagnosed social anxiety and the experience of being mocked and sneered at by Alice the cashier was mortifying. Needless to say, Alice should NOT be working a customer service job if she cannot treat people like human beings. I hope she finds some way to be happy with her life because it was pretty clear she was miserable and taking it out on me just for asking clarifying questions.

. I was very surprised to see the inside of the JoAnne Fabrics Store for the first time in Ballard today. It appears to be a store for serious crafters! Much better quality of products than Micheals for any kind of sewing, embroidery, quilting or crocheting .(2 years ago)The store is large enough that I felt comfortable shopping and the staff kindly helped me get acclimated since I was new to the store and to locate the embroidery floss I originally came in for! The assortment of fleece fabric made me want to sew up some warm pj's to snuggle up in as well! (2 years ago)Oh has this store come a long way since I started coming here around 2 years ago and met a new employee with a busy store to manage. The staff is varied but well trained and knowledgable and the store well looked after and tidied after the busiest of weekends!

I work with yarn a lot and Joann is one of the few physical stores which has a good variety of yarn. Looks like they primarily concentrate on fabric. They also have a lot of great variety of crafts. The staff is super helpful and they have great deals going on usually. This location has free parking on the premises as well. I only wish that they had more variety(in terms of color and material) of yarn.
