I purchased my vehicle from Seattle Hyundai and had it towed there when it had a total engine failure while still under warranty. The service department is not communicative and did not provide realistic repair timelines. The only way to get vehicle updates was to physically visit the dealership.

Flew to Seattle from Anchorage, Alaska to pickup a brand new 2023 Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid that we couldn't get in Alaska. Mohamud, the salesman I dealt with was very good. Josh in finance had all the paperwork ready and we were in an out in a very short time. First rate all the way around and we couldn't be happier.

I chose this dealership because the one in Kirkland was always busy. Things were even worse here. The service department does not communicate well and they do not have adequate capacity for servicing all the cars they sell.

Took our car twice after smelling a chemical smell and they could not fix it. They even said coolant level was correct but it was below the minimum and I had to point this out to the mechanic.
For the 3rd attempt to fix this problem I drove over an hour north to Skagit Hyundai who immediately fixed the problem.
Highly recommend going to a dealer that actually fixes your car instead of this one which says they can fix things and do things, but can't and don't.

Did my planned maintenance with them, turned it around in 2hours - air filter and oil changes, throttle body cleaning, wheel alignment. (They are fine using your own oil if you want to run something higher-grade.)

After I bought the car from them, the dealer does not reply me anymore. And when I called the dealer, he just hanged up in one minute, telling me he was busy, and he will call me back soon. A week later, I received nothing from him. Before you buy the car, they are very helpful lol, but after you paid, they disappear. So irresponsible. A problem I told them before I bought the car is still not fixed.

Got regular car service here, and the quality of the waiting area was really not that great. No snacks or water, just a Keurig machine. The wifi was pretty bad. The bank they use to process payments also charges 3% which you have to pay.
The service staff was pleasant, and the car was ready a bit ahead of schedule, so at least they had that.
Edit: I responded to the owner's request for more info and never got any reply from them.

I had a bad experience at my first scheduled maintenance. My car was scratched after I received it. I know it happened at Hyundai Seattle but could not prove it.
Vivienne our service advisor was great at the appointment itself , but all follow ups after I reported the incident were terrible.
They promised to look at CCTV footage on Monday. Kept delaying it until Friday when I get a call from upper management that they do not footage for more than 24 hours. This made me even more skeptical of their involvement in this.
Nevertheless, the worst part of this experience was that phone call with management. The dude was rude and started accusing me of trying to blame Hyundai, when all I wanted was to get proof , that could potentially clear their name if they weren’t at fault.
As awesome as their sales team is at Hyundai Seattle , I’m sorry to say their service team was terrible. I’m going to look at my options and think twice before going back there for an any other maintenance.

Took our car thats about a year old in for normal maintenance, the price was very high about 1200 dollars for 30000 mile check up and 5000 for 60000 mile on our other car. A day after taking in our 2023 Tucson the check engine light came on with a message to take the car in immediately. Took it in and seattle hyundai said nothing was wrong and cleared the message. The message came back next day and we took it in again. We ended up needing a new catalytic converter and they had to keep the car for a full week because there was also something wrong with the oil filter or something. Luckily this was covered by the warranty. Could have been a total coincidence but I feel they could have done something wrong with the original maintenance leading to multiple issues after we took it in. Hyundai also only covers $35 dollars a day for car rental under warranty and that doesn't even cover half the cost of a car in seattle, so we were without a car for a full week. It also took at least 30 minutes every-time to drop off and pick up the car as staff was busy with other things and spent forever trying to explain why we needed to spend so much money on normal maintenance. One staff member also called us multiple times to ask for a 5 star review which was off putting. I did appreciate the help from a women staff member who worked with us to prioritize maintenance on our Ioniq to get it within our budget, and was quick and efficient.
