Zero stars if possible. Misled on what they could do and very poor and untimely communication.I dropped off my F550 on a Wednesday afternoon. I talked to the boss of the two people who generally do the intake. He just happened to be there. I told him I wanted diagnostics run on my truck because it lacked power pulling a loaded trailer up the hills. I wanted to know the condition of the 7.3 diesel. Could they do it on a Ford or should I take it to a dealer. No, they can do it. I also told him to change the oil and inspect the brakes. Great. Everything would be taken care of. The diagnostics would probably be done by Friday and I would hear from them. They would do a "pre-buy". He gave me a card that showed the online communication method (
[email protected]) they use and said this is how they would communicate with me. The notifications would be (1) vehicle has been checked in (2) Estimate is ready for authorization (3) service is completeFriday late afternoon arrived and I had neither received a phone call or an online note. I called and was told the oil had been changed and they were still working on the other. Fine I said - looks like it will run into next week. OK.Monday afternoon of the next week arrives and I had neither received a phone call or an online note again. I called and talked to a male voice in the service department and asked for an update on my truck service. He seemed very busy and impatient and finally said that he would call me back after saying something about ordering a power control module. I never got the call back.Tuesday I sent an email to
[email protected] and asked about the status of my truck. No response. So I'm thinking that they are working on it and I need to be patient. I assume it will be taken care of. I don't hear anything via phone call or an online note. Finally on Friday morning, a week and a half after I drop it off I drive to the shop. I talk to Mel, I believe, behind the counter. She is very pleasant and professional. She tells me that the oil change and brake inspection was done but they don't have the capability to do the diagnostics. They only got a generic error code and I would have to take it to a Ford Dealer to get the diagnostics done. Needless to say I was stunned. The truck was sitting there and they could do no more and they hadn't even called me or used the online notification to tell me that they couldn't do the diagnostic and that I should pick up the truck. Mel indicated that the truck was ready for me to take. My question is how long would they have let it sit there without calling me? Take your vehicle someplace else. They still charged me for diagnostics they couldn't do.
