They have different hours online, on the door, and when you call to make an appointment. Through online I was able to make an appointment at this location but when I got there they weren’t open. Why are you allowing appointments to be scheduled when the location isn’t even open? I made a new appointment then called the number I received in the confirmation text to double check and was told I called the Northgate location and the woman was annoyed that I questioned the opening hours of the Wallingford location. On top of that, the new appointment I had made that I wanted to confirm wasn’t on file/ they aren’t actually open that day… so made another appointment on the phone. Hopefully I actually get to see someone because I need help with a letter I received from the IRS, but this process to just schedule an appointment is ridiculous.

I came in in March to get help with taxes and was told H&R could handle our taxes. The tax refund recommended was clearly wrong, so I asked my tax professional to consult with a colleague to double-check. I called repeatedly in the following weeks, and my messages were not answered. When I finally reached my tax professional after a half dozen calls and a month after taxes were due, he hadn't consulted with anyone. He told me he still planned to get his supervisor's help but couldn't offer any timeline as his supervisor was very busy. Another month later, both my tax professional and supervisor had left the company, and no one had been tasked with my tax return which was dropped without any communication to me about it. So now 3 months after first consulting with H&R and 2 months after taxes were due, I'll have to look for someone else to do my taxes.

H&R Block "forgot " to file my return. no way of getting a refund as they don't answer the phone. Finally got it filed a month late

I've been coming to this location for 10 years and I went to drop off my taxes today and the receptionist wouldn't take my information. She said they were all booked up. I said i realize i'm late but i don't care when they get done and she said they're booked up. And I said 'Forever?" and she said 'Yes". Wow. So I left and went to the Ballard branch where I received excellent service and they took my documents and information assigned me a tax professsional.

CHRIS PERKINS - you will read his name many times - as he is a fraudulent and horrible tax professional. We had our 2020 amendment filed wrong multiple times here. Even the final one was wrong - we expected a refund based on the work done at H&R Block and instead got a bill from the IRS months later. Kathi P did a wonderful job with the detective work to figure out what happened (the only reason I’m giving two stars is she’s wonderful). Would steer clear of Chris Perkins. He made careless mistakes that we had to point out. The customer service line has required multiple calls to follow up on our complaint (they say you’ll hear in 3-5 days but it’s been 6 weeks now). It’s been 1.5 years since we filed the first amendment and we’re still dealing with the mess. Will honestly never use any H&R Block services again.

Great help last year, but this year the front receptionist seemed unaware of the "drop off and go" service. Seemed unwilling to take our documents and insisted we would need to upload them.
