Standard Home Depot

I recently went to Home Depot in Shoreline, WA with the intention of purchasing a $600 air conditioning unit. These units were secured near the customer service area, which I understood, but the customer service representative informed me that it would take a considerable amount of time to unlock one. They even suggested I might be better off buying the unit elsewhere. Taking their advice, I decided to go to Best Buy instead.
At Best Buy, the experience was markedly different. The staff were incredibly helpful, promptly assisting me with my purchase. They carried the unit to the checkout counter and even loaded it into my vehicle.
In contrast, Home Depot lost a $600 sale simply because they couldn't spare the time to unlock the item for me.
I understand that you likely didn't intend for your customer service representative to respond the way she did. As a business owner myself, I know that employees sometimes act independently.
I regret that your business missed out on a $600 sale simply because no one was available to unlock the item. In stark contrast, the Best Buy near your store had the item readily accessible and provided exceptional assistance. Their staff was incredibly helpful, unlike my experience at Home Depot.
I want to assure you that I will continue to shop at Home Depot; you have not lost a customer. However, I won't be purchasing any locked items in the future. I don't want to risk waiting 15 minutes in line only to be informed that unlocking the item isn't possible.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. I believe that with a commitment to improving customer service and addressing these small but significant issues, Home Depot has the potential to provide an even better shopping experience for all its customers. Let's work together to make every visit a positive one.

Armed private security on site. Felt very unsafe.

this is the rudest Home Depot I have ever been to. On multiple occasions I have been made to feel like a criminal for saying I have a veteran discount and the employees look at me with complete disbelief . I didn't ask them to help me in self checkout in the first place. and today I was denied store credit because I have an out of state drivers license. I hate this store.

Always have staff there to help you most of the time in checkout. Some of the time I ask for help and I've gotten "not my department" or couldn't find anyone easily that could direct me to what I needed.

I went in with a paint problem and I came out with exactly what I needed for the task at hand. An all women paint department that knows their stuff. I can only imagine what they deal with on a daily basis. Hopefully they do a lot of mansplaining. Good job ladies!

Paint department person needs to realize some of their customers have experience. Asked the gal to match a can of paint. She said I need a dry sample and told me to come back. When I worked in a hardware and paint store, we would take a sample on a piece of paper. Sometimes we would use a heat gun, but when we didn't, it's pretty easy to let a customer know it'll be 30 minutes or more because there were always other orders. Plus, to double check the work, guess what we would do...paint a thin layer on a sample paper, dry it real quick and run it under the paint matching equipment & match it to the dried sample we had, then we would paint it on lid of the can along with the pigment amounts. A thin paper coat of paint doesn't take long to dry. It was clear the worker didn't want to work which is garbage....but, but, they had so many customer service badges, had to be a good worker ????....??2 stars because place isn't all bad-this lady was just a disappointment, and don't let the commercials that show a store full of helpful and experienced people fool you.

Editing my review. Had a very unfriendly experience with Kristine at the customer service.

All the workers are friendly, but the person I fell in love with is Erin from the Windows/ Doors department. She was so patient with me and held my hand every step of the way in getting my windows for my home. Thank you!
She needs a promotion

Tl;dr this home depot can't do online orders pickup, do not order anything online to this location
Unfortunately this location isn't able to accommodate online orders. We bought a grill online and received notice it was ready to pickup. But when we arrived they didn't have our grill and despite having three more in stock could not swap one of them in place of the phantom grill we ordered online. So our only option was to leave empty handed and hope for a refund.

Never ever have what I need, or anyone who can address my concerns. On top of that I finally found an employee who actually puts in effort to help me and now they are gone.

Some of the worst work ethic I have seen ever.
Every visit results in 20-30minute delays for the simplest asks whether to unlock a tool or a register is having a problem and the workers do nothing.
