George has a vast knowledge of all types of automobiles, he fixed my VW Tiguan fast and affordably. I would definitely take my other vehicles to him in the future.

George was fantastic! He came highly recommended to me, and he was super helpful. He was very patient and thorough with his explanations. He encouraged me to weigh my options before making a decision and did not try to upsell anything. He was super knowledgeable about my car, which is a dual clutch, and offered fantastic advice. Very few other auto shops were able to adequately explain what the problem was. His prices were very fair and I would definitely go back for any car issues!!! Highly recommend.

George's transmission quoted me $7800 to rebuild my transmission. People do your research it cost nowhere near that money to rebuild a transmission its absolutely disgusting the scam artists are doing this to people. Reliable transmission and brake quoted $3200 (with 36000 m 3 yr warranty w torque converter) honest transmission and auto repair quoted $4000, TR transmission quoted $4000. My specific transmission (6l80) for a full rebuild is like $1,500 in parts including torque converter. So George transmission is trying to charge roughly $6,300 for labor. One thing to upcharge another thing to scam people.

I have never written a bad review of a business, but I unfortunately feel compelled to do so for George's Transmission. Here are the facts: I suspected a transmission issue with my car and brought it in. George said he'd run a diagnostic and figure out the issue. After running the diagnostic, he said there was no issue he could find and he suggested changing the transmission fluid and seeing if that fixed it. In total, I paid $700 for the diagnostic, a transmission fluid change, and an oil change. The issue did not go away, so I brought it to a different car repair shop. That other shop diagnosed the issue as an electrical problem with the transmission and even gave me the diagnostic codes that came up, and told me that a transmission specialist was needed to fix it. Understandably, I was frustrated that George's, supposedly a transmission specialist, didn't catch this issue. I called George's and asked that they refund the $160 charge for transmission diagnostic. I was calm and firm, I'm not the kind of person to harass a business but $700 is too large of a bill to pay for an oil change, transmission fluid change, and useless diagnostic. His only suggestion was that I bring it back to him to get the transmission fixed and he could work out a deal, however at this point I don't trust this business to work on my car or charge a fair price. Again I asked for the $160 charge to be refunded and he refused. The worst part was that he tried to argue that the car had no issue when I brought it in and it only had an issue later. I don't appreciate being gaslit - I know when my car has an issue, why else would I bring it in to the shop? This whole incident demonstrates that George's doesn't care about treating customers right. There are many other transmission shops in Seattle, I strongly suggest you take your business elsewhere.

George is the man! Made room for my large truck even though it was not ideal. Gave me a very accurate quote and ran me through exactly what he was planning to do and how it was done. Pointed out some other issues to pay attention to but did not try and do work I wasn't asking for. He even gave me an extra part he had around that I could install myself for free. Could not recommend George's services more.Service: Transmission

Took my truck to several mechanics and no one knew what was wrong let alone how to fix it. George fixed it up in less than 2 days at a fair price and we're already back on the road. Wish we would've found him sooner. Highly recommended!
