He showed us a mattress that was a great fit for our needs and price range and did not pressure us to buy it immediately. He offered us a deal which he and his colleagues honored later when we were ready to buy. The purchase and delivery process was smooth and we love the new mattress. Thank you Patrick for all your help!”

“Gerald was very helpful in figuring out which mattress and base would be best for my mother-in-law as she moves into a senior living community. I really appreciated their patience and flexibility as we figured out what we wanted, as well as their willingness to work with our budget needs.”

907 NW Ballard Way Suite B-110, Seattle“Buck was an excellent help during our quest for a new mattress. He was very knowledgeable, thorough, patience, and kind throughout the process from entering the store to leaving out. I would highly recommend Buck and this location to others. It was a grand experience for us experiencing that kind of guidance to aid us in making our decision.”
“Cici was very knowledgeable and patient when I spent infinite amount of time testing the beds. Great experience. Cannot recommend more.
Update:
The mattress ended up not working for me and I had to exchange it. This time it’s a different representative handling my case. He’s also very patient and informative. Five stars service.”
“John was extremely helpful in sourcing us our first pieces of furniture for our new home, and also helped us with delivery. Couldn't have been more help! Will definitely be back when we need more things!”
“My wife and I went to Ducky’s to by a desk chair. The staff could not have been more helpful and informative. Shout out to Michael Jackson - he deserves an “employee of the month” award. Knowledgeable, personable, pleasant. And a shout out to Michael’s mom for giving him a great name!”

1808 E Union St Unit G, Seattle“Michelle did a great job in taking a 1960's era 200 square foot bathroom and turning it into a classic with a timeless design and finishes. While she had a good vision for the end product, she listened and incorporated our important criteria into the final product. She also assisted in sourcing a reliable and quality contractor (Howard Freeman ). Michelle was always available throughout the process to clarify questions from us and the contractor and in the end, we ended up with a beautiful bathroom. (our iPhone picture does not do it justice)”
“Really nice, low pressure store and informative sales guy Jack that showed me all the options. Beautiful examples of murphy / wall beds in store. You can diy installs. They have everything from melamine through to plywood and high end finishes with side cabinetry and desks and all that, so you can fit any budget from $1500 to $5000+ that works for you. We personally decided to go with a day bed instead, but if a murphy is the best for your space then check them out!”

Just wish they stayed open a bit later, but that’s Seattle I suppose. I hope they never go out of business!”

They will carefully pad and pack your item(s), crate them and ship by freight carrier for you. They will also crate items for you to ship yourself. No items are too big for them to handle. They also make custom laser cut foam pieces to pack securely and perfectly your item and build a crate around it, think artwork, jet parts, spaceship parts, football equipment, you name it! Check them out!”

324 NE 45th St, Seattle“Today we purchased Harrison Spinks Northumberland Beds, Luxury toppers, and adjustable bases from Vic, who took the time to find out our special needs and wants. Vic was exceptionally knowledgeable in what he thought we would feel comfortable in, and he was spot on. Having just arrived here and still waiting for our furniture to arrive, he immediately let us know they would provide us with a bed while we were waiting for the new one we ordered. Outstanding service all around.”

1500 W Armory Way, Seattle“Enjoyed this store. Lots of wonderful homegoods to see, pick from. Bought a large round mirror from clearance center, good deal. Store rep. was helpful with logistics on handling mirror as well as I appreciated her saying she thought it was a good deal. Once bought, secured in trunk went back in to finish shopping, bought a few more things & accidentally left my gift card and credit card behind?. Phoned & thanks to Claudia was able to learn both had been found, retrieved! Whew! All store personnel were helpful, friendly.”
“We bought a second-hand Kasala couch and approached the SODO Outlet hoping to order new cushion covers to give the discontinued couch a new life. Not only were they able to reach out to their manufacturer to do so, but the staff (shout out to David!) was exceptionally helpful at all stages of the process.”
“Great place. Check out their website. They are doing things right. Eco-friendly and good business practices. Everyone helping with customer service has been great too. Also, the futon is super comfortable. It's a really great product.”
“I just bought my second couch here the other day and highly recommend Modern Design for anyone looking for an amazing sofa! They are not only beautiful and comfortable, they are also durable!!! I have had the Karma sectional for 11 years and despite my kids attempts to break it by jumping all over it, using the cushions for fortresses, and wiping their hands all over it, it still looks amazing, has no pilling whatsoever, and the cushions are still comfortable. They are custom, so you can select the fabric, color, and leg color. After shopping for another couch online, I forgot how difficult it is to find the right size and color that matches your home so walk on into the showroom and find your next forever sectional, sofa, or chair!”
“Was looking for a nice little coffee table and they had one had a reasonable price so I gave him five stars they're inventory isn't large but if you have some cool stuff in there I will be going back to get something again”

710 E Pike St, Seattle“I worked with Katie and team designing three rooms for an interestingly shaped apartment I'm renting, and they knocked it out of the park! I love how they work with multiple vendors that fit within a range of budgets. I live close to their shop so I was always popping in asking questions about curtains, bedspread patterns, etc and I never felt like a bother. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a discerning set of eyes in creating a home worth living in.”

1103 E Pike St, Seattle“Retrofit Home, a unique store located in Capitol Hill, Seattle. Retrofit Home is more than just a furniture store; it’s a mini-department store with a sophisticated, fun, and edgy aesthetic. If you’re in the Capitol Hill area, be sure to check it out! In addition to furniture, you’ll find home goods, kitchen essentials, and unique gift items. The every day books were my favorite collection to browse through. Quirky and funky, Retrofit Home sells lots of items you won’t find anywhere else. While their products aren’t cheap, the quality and uniqueness make up for it. Even their sale items can be fairly expensive, but they’re worth it if you want something special. I told the employee I loved their store and the vibe was so inviting and if I had more time I’d probably buy a lot more! So, if you’re on the hunt for distinctive furniture, home decor, or delightful gifts, consider paying Retrofit Home a visit. It’s a gem in Capitol Hill!”

1932 1st Ave, Seattle“We have purchased mattresses from The Futon Shop three separate times. Each time the customer service has been excellent. Edith helped us choose a new mattress for our daughter, which was not an easy task due to our daughter's health needs. Through multiple conversations, we ended up with the perfect mattress for our daughter. When it was time to purchase another mattress for our master bedroom, we knew that working with Edith would make the decision making process easier. She is our mattress connoisseur : ) I wouldn't want to work with anyone else for the daunting task of choosing a mattress online!!”
“I worked with Julie on designing a custom workspace with standing desk, storage, and open shelving. Julie expertly guided us through the design process, including educating us about materials, and she was very patient as I asked for revisions to the design. I worked with Laura on arranging installation, and that went very smoothly as well. Our installers were very professional and worked efficiently, safely, and were respectful of my home. The space turned out beautifully and I would do it all over again. I only wish I'd done it sooner, because my space is now much more functional and conducive to working from home.”
“This is the first used furniture store I been to. I really like it compared to like other office stores that offers only new products. They offer brands that would generally not fit my budget new, now affordable to me. I was not rushed or feel uncomfortable testing all my heart desire seatings. I found a couple I really liked. The family that runs this business is incredibly sweet. i like supporting small & local business. I heard they also have another location in Burien. I'll have to go there sometimes.”
“A fantastic selection from over 70 independent vendors. Clothing, jewellery, art, collectables, and so much more. Spread over 2 floors, it's always a journey to see it all, do another lap, and find something else new... Well thrifted and vintage!”

2002 NW Market St, Seattle“Love this store! Love the modern aesthetic, great selection of quirky and adorable cards, and lots of great gift choices (eg candles, books, games etc) and they have a great selection of eco friendly kitchen products. We've gotten wooden kitchen brushes, silicon popcorn maker, cards, games, candles, soap, and gift cards here because we love their hand selected, tasteful selection!”

5304 Ballard Ave NW, Seattle“Excellent couch and delivery. However, it was supposed to take 2.5-3.5 months and took almost 5 months. This was very disappointing as I had my sister visit from out of state and was hoping it would be delivered by then, and even baked in an extra month of buffer just in case. They were very poor at communicating delays, I had to call multiple times.”
“My partner and I had a great experience at Purple showroom at University Village. We needed to pick a mattress for our kid's room.We were welcomed by Vince who helped us through our visit. All staff is very nice. While trying and discussing different mattress options we didn't feel pressured. We both are very happy with the mattress from Purple.I also decided that I need a new pillow, and I am happy beyond imagining with Harmony pillow (low height). It's the best pillow I've ever had. I've been sleeping on it for over a week like a baby. I am not ready to share it with my partner. Now they need to go and get a second one for themselves :)”
“I couldn't be happier with the purchase of my leather furniture from Hayek's. From the quality of the loveseat to the purchase and delivery timeline and setup, the whole process couldn't have been better.”

1908 E Mercer St, Seattle“I bought our patio furniture from Tirto about four years ago and it looks as good as it did the day they delivered it. I don't think they usually deliver, but they were happy to help me out since I live only a few blocks away. Top service and excellent people. Very competitive prices for the level of finishing and craftsmanship. I stop by occasionally just to see what new and beautiful piece they have in. A neighborhood gem!”

5500 14th Ave NW Suite #2, Seattle“A great shop to walk around when you're looking for a quick gift or have some fun money to burn. They have these Italian candies that I only have found at a restaurant in British Columbia, and I was happy to know I can just pick up a bag there instead of having to drive all the way to that place in Stanley Park.”
“I have dealt with the exceptional folks at the West Seattle Mattress Firm many times over the last 15 years or so, and each experience just gets better and better!! This time they literally bent over backwards to get a new frame delivered the next day when a visitor accidentally damaged the one in our guest room, which I had purchased there a year ago. AND they waived the delivery fee! WOW! FIRST RATE!”
