Went for an intimate local show with Tobias theOwl in this beautiful gallery. Owner is warm and welcoming and I will definitely be back!(It's also 4 buildings down from my favorite tapas place-added bonus) The art was a variety of 50 artists over 50 and I loved pieces from each artist I saw! Gorgeous backdrop for music <3 Thank you for sharing your space with local artists! ?

An artist friend suggested I visit Fogue Studios & Gallery, and I'm so glad she did! It's a light and bright open space displaying work that reflects each artist's unique voice, yet they all play nicely together. The work ranges from soft and ethereal to vividly bold in oil, acrylic, watercolor, mixed media, collage, assemblage and fiber. There was much to enjoy in the large gallery space. Exploring the art along a corridor, I discovered smaller rooms with more art, working artist studios and an open classroom space. With comfy seating throughout, I could take the time to study the pieces that especially intrigued me. And there's parking - a rare perk in Seattle.

Its artists are over 50, some are over 80, but this is no doddering bunch of biddies, rather it’s a variety of cool experience collected under one roof. And what a roof it is! Patti Curtis, Fogue’s mastermind and brilliant leader, has gone from start up to over 4000 sq feet of art display, live music, poetry and ever evolving events in just two years, and has located this gift to Seattle in the Georgetown neighborhood, formerly a grunge leftover and presently the trendsetting go to part of town made busy by the hip who enjoy the restaurants, bars and shops. Put Fogue Studios and Gallery at the top of your must go list.

An absolute treasure in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle. This gallery dedicates itself to artists over 50 and the caliber of the work is superb. The space encompasses the entire top floor of a historic building. Beware- there is no store front so you need to look for the awning and signage that says “Fogue Studios and Gallery”. Well worth seeking out!
