This store is wonderful. I walked into a beautiful display of fine textiles, decor, clothes, gifts, and crafts from around the world. I found gifts for three people and picked up a little something for me. Highly recommend!

I love supporting ethical companies like Fair Trade Winds. Their store is fun to walk through & full of cute displays of unique, handmade products. They also have friendly, helpful service. Fair Trade Winds sells a wide-range of ethically made, thoughtfully curated, handmade goods -- clothing, bags, accessories, jewelry, ceramics, housewares, indoor & outdoor decor, paper goods, gift sets, and more. Some food/drink items they sell are chocolates, spices, teas, coffees. Anything fair trade you can think of, they likely have it! For clothing, I appreciate that along with basics they also stock a pretty good range of unique, cute styles, including some hand-blockprinted & hand-batiked pieces. Lots of colorful options too. Their pricing is reasonable & on par with other fair trade stores I've seen around the country. And not only are their products fair trade, many are also eco-friendly. I definitely recommend Fair Trade Winds. :)

Literally the cutest little handmade store! I wanted to buy everything. Right when you walk in, you're met with these handmade wool birdhouses that are so cute. They also had Christmas decorations, jewelry, dresses, wool balls, etc. Most of the items are ethically made from independent creators which is awesome because you can support them while also getting something super cute. My friend ended up buying a card wallet that showed who and where it was made.

I walk past this place all the time and stopped in on a whim. I had so much freakin fun in here. They had the absolute cutest things I have ever seen. Just look at the ceramic measuring spoons I got! LOOK AT THEM. I swear everytime I turned around I GASPED at the next level of cuteness. I could have melted happily in here. You simply must stop in and see all the things.

Surprised myself today while wandering around Ballard for some holiday shopping by how much I enjoyed my shopping experience at Fair Trade Winds. There was a wide range of products from scarves to ornaments to baby books and mobiles to soaps to jewelry to home goods in the store that were all of high quality but not crazy expensive like some other fair trade shops have been that I've visited previously. I really liked that they feature handmade product made from various communities around the world, which are easy to read about with their associated products. The staff was friendly and helpful - we found a baby mobile that we wanted to get and they went to the back to see if there were any that were packaged up (aka not the floor model) that we could bring home instead. Checkout was fast and easy (they take credit card) and despite the shop bustling due to it being a weekend we had no problem finding someone to help us with the mobile nor with checkout. Bonus points to the shop for a having a very clean bathroom available for use - knowing that most of the other shops in Ballard don't have this amenity, it's a huge welcome.

I just discovered Fair Trade Winds and I am pretty sure I am hooked! One of my most dear LONG DISTANCE friends will be celebrating 40 Earthstrong years, her bday is St.Patricks day! I bought the Hamsa Quilling Card, the Emerald GREEN Earrings and the Tara Stone Filigree necklace and I had concerns and I called Sarah in your Fairfax Va store and she is A GEM!!! Fair Trade, made by strong women. I am so pleased! Thank you!!! I'll be back to your online store, like today.... lol

After trying a couple services, we gave these guys a call. They were the first ones to actually know what they were doing. After just 30 minutes they were packing up and giving me a detailed explanation of the problem and how they fixed it. Really thorough. Would recommend.

This is my second review of this fantastic shop! I purchased two of the Wool Dryer Balls for a Birthday gift last 3 weeks ago. My Step Mom called to thank me for the wonderful and unique gift. She loved them!!! I am going back to purchase more for Xmas gifts!!!
