Twice now I have had to have my bike serviced, once because I was hit by a BMW and needed crank repairs and a safety check, and once because I needed a wheel rebuild. Both times the price has come in much lower than I expected. The BMW incident only cost me about $110 and the full wheel rebuild only cost me about $160 (I did bring in my own spokes mind you). The team is super friendly even if you don't know a lot about bikes, they'll just get as much information from you as possible and make it work. I'll be coming back again and again for sure.

Thanks to David for being patient with a first timer and explaining how to check brake pads on my own! Bike was tuned up and ready quicker than expected after I misheard how long it would take, everyone was very nice and bike is riding great!

Very impressed with how down to earth and knowledgable they are about biking, equipment and helping you to find the most suitable approach for your needs. Maybe this is due to the humbleness of the biking community in general. Either way, these guys are great - go to them for anything you need regarding a bike.

After almost 2 years of research I settled on a bike, went here to test ride, they were so patient during the many back and forth emails and when I came in. Bought my bike and brought it for a check up still same patient and educational vibes. There is a closer electric bike shop to me but I will keep coming here.

Not only are they the only bike shop in Ballard these days, they’re also super knowledgeable and friendly. Awesome selection of e-bikes to rent and buy, they also are a full service shop. $125 for a 24hr overnight rental is pretty standard. We had a great time.

Great shop. They fixed a flat on my low-end e-bike and didn't try to sell me one of their far superior bikes. When I'm ready to upgrade my ride I know where I'm headed.

I'm not sure that I left a review when I bought my Faraday bike from here a few years ago. But now's just as good a time as ever. I called today asking for help with battery issues. I now live in California, so not even a local customer anymore. This doesn't change the fact that I received AMAZING treatment from the gentleman on the phone. He was knowledgeable, kind, and generous with his time and advice. Sir, I apologize for not having asked for your name. But I thank you, and I'm glad you're here to help people with a passion for biking like me. Keep up the good work. If I'm ever back in Seattle, this would be my go-to bike shop!

I wanted an additional battery installed in my daughter's sidecar and run it in parallel with my ebike battery using a fusion battery combiner. We needed more range. Most e-bike companies wouldn't take this project on... but Electric & Folding Bikes Northwest did. DJ has done a fantastic job hiring his employees. They are honest, skilled, knowledgeable, and easy-going. David was an absolute wiz when it came to understanding my goals and collaborating with me on the best way to make them happen. I wanted it to look clean and I wanted it done right. I'm a firm believer that when you set out to do something, do it right the first time so you're not doing it twice. Dave nailed it. The install was super clean and well-thought out. He went the extra mile mounting the battery. Everything came out exactly how I envisioned it, only better. I can highly recommend these guys, from purchasing an e-bike (I bought one for my lady last year), to repairs and modifications. Top-notch outfit.

Living a bit away from downtown (downtown Ballard), we were looking for e-bikes to keep us out of our car and get us around town quickly. We went to several stores, but Electric & Folding Bikes we're just great. They have some carefully curated brands and worked with us over several visits to compare pluses and minuses of the different offerings with no pressure to buy or upsell. 4 months later and we're still loving the bikes we bought (one Orbea, one Specialized), and would recommend everything about this shop (except the name, which is really clunky ).

Amazing experience. Staff are so knowledgeable and super super nice.I ended purchasing my first 2022 Brompton from their store. They set it up for me and answered all my questions.My wif also loved riding the bike. Since the amazing people at this store made it so easy to walk out with one, this bike brought joy to her even though we recently found out that she has cancer, and scheduled for surgery next week.This litter amazing experience purchasing our bike from amazing people, went a long ways.Few days later, I ordered a second Brompton (Electric one) from the brompton website as I was looking for specific setup and arrangement, and have the bike shipped to the store.What makes this store so special, is the extra mile the go in taking care of their customers , by setting up the bike and update the battery for the electric Brompton even thought I had it shipped using Brompton website.I just trust their work. I ended purchasing all the bags and accessories I need it for both bikes from them. (I went crazy with purchasing most of what they offered, from grips, bags, saddles, tool kits, extra tubes and covers)An investment that is so worth it. And I'll probably, be back for more as needed.Supporting this amazing local business as much as I could is important, Since they are the wonderful experts that they will keep looking after our bikes and have the best quality bikes available to the bike community for many years to come.This is the best place that offers the best electric and folding bikes and service in all of Seattle.It just took one visit, and walked out as the happiest Brompton owner.Thank you so much for being here for us!!!!!
