They have nice clothing. However, they want you to pay high prices for clothes that aren't that high quality. That would be understandable if you were also paying for good service. However, the opposite is true. I am 37 but look more like 27 and I went in the store with the intention of buying several outfits. I went and immediately started looking, taking a significant number of items to try on. The salesperson was very condescending and unhelpful, in my estimation that I was too young to buy the clothing, which is an asinine assumption. Even if I were 27, plenty of younger people make great money, have family money, etc. (and even if I were just browsing there's no excuse for someone working in customer service to treat people in their store poorly). After me, a group of middle-aged women came in who very clearly were just browsing. However, the store clerk immediately began sucking up to them and ignoring me. When I saw that I just took pictures of the tags so that I could complain to their corporate offices and buy the items online. Just as I was walking out the other people left too, unsurprisingly, without buying anything. I called corporate, certain they would want to know about the experience. However, no one answered and no one called me back even though I left several messages. Needless to say, I never ordered the items and will never again buy Eileen Fisher clothing.

High end clothing store based on wardrobe building. Pieces with classic simple lines that build upon each other. They also offer some shoes and handbags, all in classic lines.

I took my 90 year old mother there to purchase 2 pairs of pants. She asked if she could use their restroom because she wasn't well enough to walk the block to use the public restroom and she couldn't wait until she got home. She was told no by the store personnel. I will not go back there again.

I'm so careful about giving a 1 star review, but felt so disappointed in the 3 sales people at Eileen Fisher today that I say, yes, it needs to be said. I am a loyal Eileen Fisher shopper, usually d/t Seattle and Bellevue; however, today was at University Village. My husband & stopped in because they have the coolest pair of boots in the window. There were 3 sales gals there today, no other shoppers in the store, and not one of them said hello or asked if I needed any help. One gal was steam ironing clothing off in the corner and the other 2 were talking and moving about amongst themselves. Where is the human connection? What happened to meeting someone's eye, thanking them for coming in, and asking is there anything they can help you with? I'm in sales. I LOVE that! If one of them had done that, I would have left with at least those boots! This is certainly one reason why I am slowly moving towards nearly all my shopping on line.
