Honestly it baffles me just how people can be so rude and still get a job in customer service. When I was checking out I asked if they had any stickers for garage sales and they just responded with “Yeah, I’m just a cashier here.” There are dozens of friendlier ways to answer a person when they ask a question rather than being passive aggressive.
The cashier was Mattie.

I don't expect much at a Dollar Tree but wow Leo needs a bit of one on one in customer service. I don't appreciate my items thrown in a bag roughly nor attitude when I mention I do need a bag.

We couldn't buy anything because the manager chose to have the only cashier working on a register that had a broken chip reader. The other 3 registers were fine, but he said they were "too busy" to open one of them because they had "limited staff".
The cashier asked if he would please take us on his register and he just said "no" and walked away. No fault to her, other than to be calling out occasionally that their chip heater didn't work. Really, they should have put a sign on the door. We wouldn't have wasted our time.
The worst part of this is that it's obviously my daughter's birthday. She had a basket full of birthday items (balloons, a sparkly birthday crown, birthday sash, and a birthday balloon tied to her wrist.
When I asked if he could open a resister that worked, he just laughed and said no. I said then they'd be losing a regular customer. He said, "okay, goodbye then." His response to, "we're going to make a complaint, "there's a 1-800 number. Have fun".
Clearly this guy is used to complaints and just doesn't care. They're too short staffed to get rid of him. So even though one bad employee shouldn't reflect on the company, in this case, it does. They know their employee is horrible and losing them customers and they just don't care.

The only reason why they get 3 stars is that prices went up and everything costs $ 1.25 instead of $1. Now there's items that are $3-$5 bucks. So you gotta be careful what you grab

The store was average. Not as many items as my local dollar store. The customer service was great. Very friendly people.

Hours say they are open until 10PM but they locked the door over 20 minutes early at 9:40. There was a bunch of people outside trying to get in but the employee who was inside said they were closed on the phone.Watched them leave the store and go home 12 minutes before closing. Bad behavior by employees management should fire them.01/03/2023

Today I went in to stock up on the stuff I live from Dollar Tree... and this is one of my fave locations. Today it sealed that... I walked in and the vibe was great. Two employees were stocking shelves and having the most wholesome convo about the holidays and their family... once I was done shopping one of those employees, Taj, saw me headed towards the register and he greeted me and it just got better. We had a great chat about winter in Seattle (we are both transplants) and it was such a refreshing interaction. Taj is the epitome of what good customer is. You don't have to be fake or sickeningly sweet, you just have to be real. Taj was at once relatable and enviable. His great attitude will boost me for the rest of the day. Be like Taj.

As usual, empty shelves. Employees are too busy talking to each other rather than help a customer or run a register to lessen the long line. One male employee was moping up a soda that was dropped. Someone asked him if there was another cashier and he responded saying yes, there's another register open but he has mop the mess up first. He looked at the two female employees standing chatting off to the side and they looked at him, the long line and they both disappeared. After about five minutes the kid moping is nowhere to be seen. I started timing how long I was in line before I could put my things up on the belt..... 21:16 minutes. Where did the rest of the crew go? And with so many people in line? The boy moping never came back either. It's going to be busy this time of the year. I expect long lines but jc employees, work while you're at work.

Ran in tonight close to closing and they had a line all the way to the back only one employee. I ended up leaving my cart. I was in 2 weeks ago and only one employee. I asked if there was a manager who could help, and the lady cashiering said she was the manager. They have historically and chronically had employee retention issues... It might be the store management if they can't keep people. I've read a lot of reviews On this page that the management is mean, and have poor customer service skill. That not only affects the customers, it does affect the employees, which may be why they're having trouble keeping people working here.

A lot of selection of house hold items for cheap, good when you are on a budget
