I cannot say enough good things about this place. Great prices, honest, quick, great communication. Had a minor issue before warranty expired and they went well above and beyond in remedying it. I won’t take any of my cars anywhere else for brake work, by far the best value and workmanship in Seattle. A++++++

Enethical and inept. A number freinds and family members have been customers here over the years, and I myself have been a customer here a number of times, so this is review is not based on a single unfortunate episode which can happen to any business. I recently took my vehicle in for a quick inspection to confirm my brakes were sound. The Saturday manager told me my pads were shot/too old and might as well resurface the rotors. This was very surprising to me as I had just had brand new rotors and pads done at D&D less than one year ago and only around 13k miles ago, but who am I to argue with the 'professional'? The recommended service didn't sit right with me, and after paying I asked for the pads the Saturday manager said were shot. He refused to give them to me. I persisted and eventually he gave them to me. I took the pads the Saturday manager said were shot to both a dealership and another brake shop, and both locations insisted the brake pads have a ton of life left on them and there was definitely no need to resurface rotors. One individual that inspected the pads suggested that I was 'swindled'. There was no reasonable basis for the work performed, my rotors now have had their life unnecessarily shortened, I'm out the time and money for unnecessary service, and I had to deal with rude and unprofessional behavior from the Saturday manager. Also, a couple years ago, after a brake job at D&D, my brakes completely failed a mile from the shop - resulting in a very scary episode - which was due to the shop failing to reattach the brakes properly. At the time, the same Saturday manager was very rude and dismissive about the frightening episode. Positive reviews to the contrary, I can confirm that this is a very bad business run by not very good people.

This shop is honest and beyond reasonable with their pricing. I appreciated the transparency and educational moments when working with the shop, and was surprised at the amount of miss information I was given at other auto shops in downtown Seattle. I had 2 shops tell me my entire brake system needed to be replaced when in reality it was only calipers that needed replacements. Paid 570 for a job that other shops were asking 1500-2000 for. Thankful to know the folks at D&D brakes will have me covered should my brakes need servicing again!

These guys are the best of the best. Have brought many vehicles here over the years and it is always reliable, courteous, kind and they communicate well. I appreciate a shop that isn't spending time wasting yours and instead just demonstrating their craft and expertise. Thank you D&D Brakes! Customer since 2003!

I came in today because I had a previous brake job done front and rear, and ended up with problems. Larry had his techs work on my truck and they found the front brake pads had been installed with the two inner pads on the left side, and the two outer pads on the right side. This was causing the right side brakes to completely overheat. They also discovered that the rear calipers were put on the wrong side, and the bleed screws were facing down, and that was causing a lot of air to be in my system and my pedal to be spongy.
They are real professionals here and I had them install new front rotors and pads and then they took care of the other issues, and now my brakes are all brand new.
In the future, this is the only place I will come to do brakes.
Larry was also able to fit me in first thing this morning, even though I was at work, and they did the job in an efficient manner so I could get back to work.
Amazing work! Thank you so much to the whole team!

To all the folks that don’t know much about cars and are looking for a company to trust: look no further. I went to D and D brakes since I moved to Seattle in 2020. I took a chance with them being new to the city and they’ve never disappointed me. They are honest and fair, which is what I need being a female that knows squat about cars, as well as a broke college student. They always offer timelines for what will need attention in the future so you don’t have to overpay or have unnecessary repairs. Thank you for your help today guys!

They repaired, under warranty, a right rear caliper on my daughter's car. They are honest and thorough and recommended D&D Brakes highly.

Only place I go for brake services! I went to two other auto shops for inspections on brakes that I suspected were faulty that resulted in nothing. I brought it to D&D and they were able to find the issue in a minute and fix it the next day. Very impressive.
