I spent $ 4000.00 on a couch I hate sitting on. The couch itself is beautiful, but the seat cushions are the hardest foam I’ve ever sat on and they make a squeak noise every time I move around to try to get comfortable, which is impossible on this couch unfortunately. I called a couple of times to express my concerns about the seat cushions and was told to give it time for them to break in. It has been 2 years and these cushions are just as stiff and uncomfortable as the day the couch was delivered. I now have a beautiful $4000.00 couch that I hate sitting on. It would be nice if a store that sells such expensive furniture would follow up with their clients and do what’s right to make them happy and not make them feel like it’s their fault that the couch is not comfortable. I didn’t make the couch, you did!

Excellent couch and delivery. However, it was supposed to take 2.5-3.5 months and took almost 5 months. This was very disappointing as I had my sister visit from out of state and was hoping it would be delivered by then, and even baked in an extra month of buffer just in case. They were very poor at communicating delays, I had to call multiple times.

The sales people were wonderful at guiding me through all the choices to make the perfect couch for me. They steered me towards velvet to handle cats as well, which I hadn't thought of before. I've had it for 6-7 years now and it still looks about as new as when I got it delivered, despite being routinely puked on by my cats.

Just received my second sofa from COUCH in Ballard. Excellent quality, excellent delivery service. But don't let them tell you it will take anything less than 4 months to deliver. It's the only disappointment, but it's significant. First sofa took 5 months, this one took 4.5 months.

It's been nearly 3 years and I hate my Oslo sectional a little more every day. The lines are nice - it looks good. If this was a rarely used, mostly decorative sofa, I'd be thrilled. But it's not meeting the challenges of a hardcore family sofa. The two end cushions immediately sink into the back corners when we sit, as if the frame is devouring them. I've resorted to cramming packing foam under the cushions in an attempt to shore them up.The cushions themselves bow and buckle. The fabric, which the sales person assured me was pet durable, is already pilling so much that I use a sweater shaver on the cushions and arms.I flip and rotate the cushions every freaking week in an attempt to make this sofa look newish, instead of like a hand me down from a neighbor who put it on Facebook for free.I deeply regret not buying from Room & Board.

We have been living with our couch from COUCH for a few months now and keep falling in love with it. It was absolutely and totally worth the price and the coolest part is the price was comparable to other companies with similar options, it took less time for shipping than other couch companies cuz it was made and shipped from LA, and this is a locally owned small business. My husband and I were looking for some thing really specific to fit our lifestyle and height and surprisingly even though what we wanted seemed pretty basic it was hard to find a product with any sort of quality. I’m so glad we found out about this store before we made a big purchase. The process was pretty easy and if I had to buy another couch (and I don’t think I will need to for a super long time) I would definitely 100% go back here.

Excellent, professional service. Just the right amount of attention and advice while making our selection. Our customized sectional (seat height, depth, arms, length, style - everything!) is exactly what we wanted. Plus made in the US!

I've had a great experience with Couch. They were very helpful with the details of the options available - type of padding, suggesting different padding in the back and the seat because the seat's under more pressure, options for changing dimensions, legs, etc. They also steered us to getting a consistent height on our ottoman, couch and chair so our legs are always level when we use the ottoman. I wouldn't have thought of that. My husband and I were walked through all of it. We'd been bitten in the past buying a $1500 "leather" couch in another store started to shed in a few years. I didn't realize there's no laws about labels or telling the truth about materials in furniture. :p We wanted something that was going to last, so were very happy with the quality of materials and the option for the heaver, stronger frame. We had the hardest time picking fabric. There were so many options, and we have some overlap in taste but our first choices are always so different. It takes us a long time to agree. We both thought a bright color would be fun, but even with all the options nothing bright complemented the complex coppery tones we already had going on in the space. The staff were very patient and wise. Early on they mentioned gently, almost in passing, that neutral colors were often a great choice because they always work with everything, and you can change colors around them. Then they left it alone. :) We came back years later when our remodel was finally finished (long story there) and were still stuck on trying to find the perfect bright color. They very wisely and gently didn't try to give us an opinion but left it all to us. I've noticed in reviews some people want more design guidance, but in our case I think they were right not to. It's a very expensive purchase and we have to be fully committed to owning every decision or we'll wind up unhappy. In the end, we went with a very dark grey. It's absolutely gorgeous in the room. We bought during Covid so delays were expected. They communicated estimates and updates perfectly. The delivery folks were wonderful about getting the heavy furniture around tight corners and stairs without even grazing our carefully remodeled walls and floors. Then years later I couldn't remember if we'd gotten things stain treated. We're obsessive about keeping things nice, so I couldn't imagine not, but I didn't keep a record and just wasn't sure. I sent an email on Labor Day expecting a reply until the day after - a full business day for something non urgent is reasonable, and holidays are often busy. I got a reply within hours. Rosie had already looked up my order, told me what treatment I got and gave me a ton of info on it, how to care for stains if we got any, and a recommendation for DA Burns in case a spill ever does set. She gave us all the info we'd need, so I have it all in my email in case anything happens. Then a couple days later Allegra followed up with me to make sure Rosie reached me, and gave me even more tips for avoiding stains. I'm very impressed all around.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. My husband is the pickiest human being alive when it comes to comfortable furniture. Allegra helped us through many visits and many decisions. We are thrilled with the results. Gorgeous craftsmanship, and the most comfortable couch, and big chair/ottoman lounging we've ever had. Thank you COUCH. Thank you Allegra. We are in love with our new living room.

Updated: The owner, Ameer is now emailing me because November - April is 5 months, not 6. To be fair, he is correct, it is indeed 5 months. That said I have now received 7 emails from this business, trying to gaslight and bully me into believing the two colors shown in the pictures are the same. It's alarming, creepy, unprofessional and borderline frightening. As they delivered to my home, Ameer knows where I live and made it a point to write he looked up my address and knows I am a Ballard resident. It's menacing and not okay. On any level. Please note I have 94 reviews up, 47 of them are five star. This is the first time - ever - an owner has been so unhinged and has relentlessly emailed me and gone so far as to selectively edit, cut-n-paste emails to paint a spurious picture. And the irony? The staff told me - repeatedly - there are no refunds so I didn't ask for one, only pointed out that what I ordered and what I got was light years apart and warned others to take great care with the fabrics they choose. I posted my pictures - they're very clear - and am the one out more than $4k, yet the owner is somehow a victim. Please think long and hard - is this he type of business and the sort of business practices you want to support? Will you be okay knowing any negative Yelp will result in email after email after email and character assassination? It's a lot of money - please be very certain this is how you want it spent and possibly wasted.

I HIGHLY recommend Couch if you're looking for furniture to last a lifetime. Their furniture is not cheap, but between material and construction quality and the warranty, it is well worth the money if you have it. Everything is American made and the components have their own warranties so if something breaks or wears our, they will take care of you. We got the Douglas, which they didn't have on the floor, but Rosie was SO helpful in helping my husband and I visualize all the details; she had us comparing seat depth and cushion softness with the couches they did have on display so we were confident that we knew what we were getting. Even with supply chain issues, Rosie and Allegra were very communicative about delays and gave us sneak peeks while we were waiting. Delivery was easy and we cannot get over how soft the leather is. The dogs do scratch it, but everything buffs out and cleans up well. Best purchase I've made this year!

An amazing balance of style and comfort. Our new sectional is our second custom couch and it is sink in comfy but maintains its shape when we get up. Love it. Service in the store and final delivery was helpful and efficient.

After struggling for weeks to find a couch we liked that would fit our space, we randomly stumbled on COUCH and it was a match made in heaven. We worked with Rosie who helped us custom design our size, shape and look. It was worth every penny and the wait - we've never experienced a comfier couch. Rosie was amazing and communicated updates regularly throughout the process. 10/10.

We stumbled upon this store during a stroll along Ballard Avenue. And I’m glad that we did. We purchased a custom sofa for our new home 2 years ago. It has held up well and it is still as comfy as the day we got it.

I was in the market for a new couch and was leaning heavily towards the cloud couch at restoration hardware. After visiting the showroom and speaking to several interior designers and showroom representatives, we decided against the cloud. We were warned about the quality of the couch and the constant need to fluff the cushions after anyone sits in it. A salesperson at crate and barrel recommended we try out couch seattle to design a custom couch instead which I never realized was an option. We scheduled an appointment and tried out all of the floor models until we landed on the dixon sectional. It was almost exactly what we were looking for but slightly off on the height of the seat. The sales person suggested a few changes to make it exactly what I wanted and after mulling over color and fabric, we pulled the trigger and put a deposit down on the $6500 couch. We ordered it in February and received it in may and it was just as beautiful as I dreamed it would be. But after a couple weeks, we realized there was an issue with the back cushions height. It seemed to always slip down below the frame and found it odd and uncomfortable. When we leaned back we would feel the hard frame rather than the soft cushion and realized the cushion fell a bit short compared to what we saw on the floor. I called and spoke to Allegra who requested I take pictures and measurements so that she could verify everything was delivered as ordered. After I sent those to her she replied back that everything was done to exactly as it was ordered on their end but the seat depth had been altered and perhaps affected where the cushion landed. Mind you, i am not an expert on couch sizing and left that to my sales associate to figure out but they didn't want to offer any solutions other than to come to the showroom so they could show me that the cushion was a standard size. I asked if there was a way to get new back cushions and that I would be willing to pay because it was obvious they were not going to offer any assistance on it. She came back with a quote of nearly $1000 for 3 back cushions and I just gave up. I am going to figure out a diy workaround at this point but am disappointed that this is even something I need to do. It was an expensive couch and I trusted the salesperson to ensure all of the modifications made sense but in the end, any error is mine to fix. I love the couch other than the back cushions (which is kind of a big deal) and will vouch for the comfort and construction, but the overall customer service was not what I expected. That said, if you buy furniture without making any modifications I'm positive it would be perfect. Expensive Lesson learned
