Great staff and company. They were professional on both sides. They monitored each step of the way. This was the second time we used them. Their prices might be a bit higher, but its completely worth the added expenses. Everything was packed well and nothing broke. You have up to now. Months to make a claim!

Wow!! We have many many moves in our lifetime, but have NEVER encountered such professionalism in any moving company we have ever used! Continental assigned Dave to head up our moving crew. He catalogued every item, made sure it was packed properly, and then he was the one who actually DROVE the truck from Seattle to Indianapolis, and headed up the delivery. There was so much accountability in this process, and we were blown away. Our packing crew (Antonio and two other great guys-I can't remember their names) packed everything with so much care, even disassembling items as needed, in order to insure that there would be no damage. When everything was delivered, not ONE piece of furniture or equipment was damaged. We had a number of high value items- sound equipment and instruments - and they arrived in pristine condition. I could go on and on about this company, because it is SO unusual to find a moving company that is this well organized and puts this much care into your move. I would use them again in an instant. I highly recommend them!!

If I could give them NO stars, I would! Just got packed up by Continental Van Lines in Seattle for our move to Kaneohe, HI. All the people that packed us up were fabulous. Scheduling and management on the other hand HORRIBLE! Avoid! Avoid! Avoid! Jeff who did the survey told us before accepting offers to Call to check their schedule first to make sure there was availability since it is summer, their busy season. They lied to us from the beginning. Jeff, the surveyor said that they would bring a 40 ft Matson container to our house for shipping. Day of pack out they bring a 20 ft moving truck. They claim that the 40 ft truck would not have fit up our driveway. Come to find out they didn't have a 40 ft container to bring the day of pack out even though we scheduled move more than 30 days out. What they had was a 53 ft container so that wouldn't make it up our driveway. So instead they bring a 20 ft truck and that doesn't fit all our belongings. They then have to order another truck to pick up excess. Now our things have to be unloaded and reloaded into another container. Increases chance of loss, damage and theft! If all our belongings make it to our home in Kaneohe in 1 piece it will be a miracle. That was one of the "hiccups" as Jeff would call it! The biggest hiccup of all was the crating that was most important on our list of requirements! We have several pieces of custom made furniture that we are concerned about. The company they contracted to do crating was completely incompetent. Again, guys building crate hard working and great. Scheduling horrible! Crates were supposed to be built prior to pack out. They sent 3 guys to measure, but only 2 to build. The crates should have been completed prior to packing on Thurs. They weren't and guys didn't arrive at our house until 6 pm. No follow up by Jeff or the office to see where they were. We are not faulting the guys that built the crates, but the boss in charge of scheduling. My husband ended up staying at our house until about 11:30 pm, and the crates still weren't finished. They had to return the next day, but instead of coming to our house first, they went to another job (again boss in charge of scheduling fault) and didn't arrive until 1 pm. Jeff by then had come by and assured us that the movers would stay until all the crates were built and furniture packed. What he did not tell us is that the guy driving the truck had a limitation of duty time. So again, they had to leave and guys making crates were finally done at midnight! A fiasco all the way around. So instead of being 3 days as planned it turned into 3 1/2 with two extremely long nights for us. We are lucky that our neighbors didn't complain about the sound of saws and nail guns late into the night. To be fair, we did receive a discount for the inconvenience, but for all that we had to endure, it wasn't worth the 10%. We would rather have paid the full price without any "hiccups". Calling the the horrible fiasco a hiccup or two is insulting. So save yourself the aggravation and look for another moving company. Again, it wasn't the people who packed and crated. They were all extremely hardworking and courteous. It was the scheduling and management team that failed in a big way.

I can't say enough on how great it was to work with Continental via Mayflower for my cross country move. Everything was perfect from the walkthrough & estimated weight of our goods (within 70 lbs!) to the communication and finally the ROCKSTAR driver David who coordinated the loading of the truck, driving and unloading. WELL worth the $$$ spent.

While I found everyone from start to finish to be courteous and professional, I must dampen my review due to how far off the estimate was. A 3000 move came in at 4000. I was prepared for some overage, not 33%. The movers worked hard and overtime to get me out of my condo, but we missed the 4pm cut off for the elevator and weren't out until after 6 . The estimate should have required 4 movers. I don't understand why the delivery went overestimate since there was no elevator with which to contend. Damage was minimal and they rearranged the living room a couple times ( I don't think that really accounts for the delivery overage). So thumbs up for the movers. The lowball estimate feels like a bait and switch.

CAUTION with out of state move with Continental/Mayflower - Unigroup. Look at Yelp and Other reviews to understand that Continental is under the larger umbrella of Unigroup - which is Mayflower & United, which apparently Continental contracts with? We are incredibly disappointed with the services. False promises and reassurance made in order to get us to sign moving contract with them. Unprofessional experience. Missing items including my wedding dress. Over 50% of furniture damaged. Only ONE mover (who is not even part of Continental/Mayflower) moved ALL of our inventory from truck to our destination - as apparently the other movers were a no show (you can see why over 50% of large furniture damaged when only 1 person lifting, carrying etc!!!). Quite frankly, this is not how a professional company should conduct itself; nor what we paid for (which was nearly $10,000). See also Better Business Bureau Complaint: 12344993 I am rejecting this response because: Mayflower has not addressed any of the issues or concerns which I have raised: 1. Terms of moving contract not fulfilled: We were promised by Continental/Mayflower that all furniture would be padded and wrapped when moved into the storage. This was NOT done. And because of this, 50% of large furniture damaged. 2. Delay in move in date: We were asked to move up the date of our packing in order to have our furniture arrive to destination during the requested window. Despite us moving our packing date sooner, Continental/Mayflower still arrived 2 days after the promised window date and therefore we were NOT in the country to check and confirm inventory. The inventory was to be moved into a storage unit and we had to have the Storage manager sign for us - since we were out of the country, which Continental/Mayflower was very well aware of the importance of these dates. In other words, they knew we would be out of the country and that was why the arrival date was so important to us; and why we had to waive our inventory review when delivery actually happened. 3. A non-Mayflower Employee moved ALL our furniture: One mover unloaded and moved ALL of our furniture into the storage unit. Because of this, damages occurred to our furniture - and raises concern for missing items as well. This was ONE person who does not work for Mayflower and was a 'friend' of the Driver and typically a driver himself - and obviously not very familiar with how to care for furniture/inventory. 4. Missing wedding dress: This was logged as inventory that was 'Packed by Owner' (a big white wedding box that says wedding gown and has picture of gown!) with an inventory # on it. Again, given reasons #2 and #3 above, anything could have happened to this. Continental/Mayflower did not abide to contractual agreement as well as several emails forwarded that assured us of #1 and #2 and this has still not been addressed; and #3 - ONE non-Mayflower mover was certainly not part of a moving company contract that we will have MOVERS and not one person. Continental/Mayflower should understand that they cannot treat their customers like this and future potential customers must be advised that this is how Continental/Mayflower conducts themselves.

Mario and Tony were magical, they were very professional and were able to put all my things in with great care. They went extra miles to make sure that I'm able to take all my stuff. I would recommend them to anyone. Jeff's visual estimate was very accurate and I'm glad that I used this service.

They did a great job estimating the total weight. I actually got a small refund! The moving crews on both ends were great as well. They protected the floors and didn't leave any marks on the walls or doors. The crew in Seattle was particularly amazing. I wasn't quite finished packing when they arrived but they were very nice about it and even helped me tape up some boxes. I was very nervous about the move from Washington to Pennsylvania, but it was truly trouble-free. I highly recommend Continental Van and Mayflower.
