What an absolute gem of a place. I am so incredibly grateful for the professional and compassionate care Dr. Aimee Castor and all the people here provide.
My little old man, Andy, was riddled with ailments when he first came into my life. We struggled with multiple vets until we finally found City Cat. Dr. Aimee Castor and team are an incredible group of people that sincerely want to help cats.
They provide a homey feeling to the vet and are concerned about costs as much as you are.
When Andy finally had to be euthanized, Aimee called and left a voicemail along with a detailed email explaining the circumstances and our options. Andy was treated beyond well till the very end. The team even surprised me with flowers right after letting us stay in the room with him as long as we needed to, then also sent a card with everyone’s handwritten love and condolences towards Andy. I’m extremely impressed and overjoyed at the class and compassion they provide. I can’t recommend them enough.

Couldn't recommend it enough. Had an acute emergency with my kitty and they were able to get me in within the hour. Very knowledgeable and friendly, I left feeling confident and like my little guy was well taken care of.

With all the great reviews, we had high hopes. We really wanted to like this place but unfortunately we were quite disappointed. Pros- -love the intimate, cozy ambience of the exam room. It relaxes both the cats and owners. -Mark and Gracie are helpful -Dr Castor takes time with owners. We never felt rushed Cons- -Dr Castor looks confused and that's because she is. In general, she wasn't much of a help. Our cat had a rare disease and I understand Dr Castor was not a specialist, but we sawn other generalist and they were very helpful. We'd bring in our cat here and she'd run tests and she couldn't figure out what was wrong with our cat. At other vets, they found out quickly why our cat was suffering and treated her promptly. We felt that this vet is good for routine checkups and treatments but not diagnosis and more serious issues. -She somehow gave us referrals to specialists that were many hours away when there were in fact several around Seattle (as we found out when we went to other vets). -I'm progressive so I'm all for a 4-day work week, but it was frustrating dealing with them when they were closed half the week. Sometimes there were emergencies, but we had to wait for days. Also, they don't want you to call, which was frustrating because in some urgent cases we needed to know the answers right away. -Dr Castor seemed to have trouble hearing me, but she wouldn't make any efforts to understand me. If I said something and she doesn't understand, she just ignores it instead of asking me to repeat myself or speak more clearly, which was bizarre and got in the way of communication. -This isn't just this vet, but it's frustrating that many vets are choosing not to do international travel certificates now

Absolutely exceptional experience at the cat-only veterinary clinic, City Cat Vet! From the moment we walked in, it was evident that the staff here truly understand and adore cats. The clinic was calm and serene, which immediately put my cat at ease. The staff knew exactly how to interact with felines, making the entire visit stress-free for my furry friend. Dr. Castor was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to address all of my concerns. Their expertise and genuine care for cats shone through every interaction. I wholeheartedly recommend this clinic to all cat lovers out there. Your feline companions deserve the best, and this clinic delivers just that!

Dr. Castor really explained to me what was going on with Wookie without making me feel like a bad cat mom. I can now identify behavior and other symptims before the problem gets out of hand again. She explained why she perscibed certain drugs and what to expect after the treatment. And of course she followed up with a catnip treat for Wookie! If you have a cat why go to another vet that works on all animals when you can have a cat specialist?!?!?

One of the best vets I’ve been to for my fur babies, wellworth a 50 mile drive for me. Dr. Castor is very knowledgable and the entire staff are amazing with great communication. Does not overly charge for exams/treatment and my experience is that they provided the needed care/treatment that is best for the cats. I feel very fortunate to have found City Cats! Highly recommend.

Incredibly kind Dr. and staff, treated my cat with much respect and care. Front desk was very thorough and helpful. My cat is doing much better now.It doesn’t look like a traditional vet office, it’s warm and friendly. It also has a little humor as well. They were able to help my cat same day which can be difficult to find. Prices were very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

City Cat was the best experience me or my kitty have ever had at the vet. Henry loved the cat window perch they have in the exam room and seemed less scared because no dog smell was in the room. The Doctor was knowledgeable, kind and gentle with Henry. I asked tons of questions and they answered all of them. We even left with a sample of catnip the Dr grows and a toy new patients get to pick out.
