*update April 2024: after I made a public review, they finally called me back and filed my taxes on time.* This is an unresponsive group of accountants. They are decently quick at putting documents together. However, it seems that Dang Tax will only respond if they are putting your tax forms together (and that's if you ask them to respond otherwise no updates on if they received the forms & are working on it), and then they are unresponsive when you try to finalize your tax return with them. If you have any issues finalizing it, they will ignore your issue and frustration and not return your calls. If you are looking for a supportive and responsive tax accountant, this is not it. For the past couple of years, Nina will NOT return my calls when I have run into issues with their tax return documents and needed to speak with her or someone on her team. I called three times this week, still waiting for a call from Nina or Michael. So after repeated patterns of unresponsiveness toward a long-time client, I plan to find a different accountant next year if they don't help me finalize my tax return.

I visited this tax filing office on two occasions: March 21, 2023, and April 11, 2023. Despite having appointment, I endured 2 hours wait time on first visit. I requested to review my return before submission but received no response to my emails or assistance. Multiple phone calls result in them instructing me to visit the office in person.During the second visit, I waited for an exhausting three hours before my tax return was filed with the incorrect bank information. Till May 6, 2023, I kept checking my bank account and still no fund was deducted. Hence, I contacted the office for clarification. Their solution was for me to make the payment myself online, with the promise of assisting in recovering any potential overcharges from the IRS.Upon contacting the IRS, I discovered that they couldn't charge me due to the missing bank information. They included me to rectify the situation promptly by making the payment directly through the IRS website to avoid additional penalties. I informed the office about the issue and the imminent penalty, expecting their support. However, they simply advised me to wait for the penalty notice and expressed willingness to help afterwards.Eventually, I received an official notice from the IRS, imposing a $100 late tax return penalty. When I approached the office for assistance, they shifted their stance and refused to take responsibility. This lack of accountability is concerning deeply and unprofessional for a tax service provider. Despite adhering to all deadlines and proactively following up with the IRS, this experience has left me profoundly disappointed. I don’t know why there are so many 1-star ratings here as I don’t think others have rated this business fairly. I’ve been going to Charlie’s since I was 18 and have received the same service every time. Couple of notes when you come here:-Avoid booking an appointment for the weekend. Everybody and their mother is here as it’s the only available time these people can do their taxes.-Parking lot is small, arrive early.-Do your taxes early. Are you waiting around the last minute to do them, are you upset now that you have to wait +1 hour with others who also didn’t plan accordingly? You can only blame yourself for the wait time.-Bring everything. Obvious, but many people don’t do it. If you think the document has to do with taxes? Bring it. If you maybe think it doesn’t. Still, bring it. Avoid having to make another trip to wait in the queue to have your report looked after.-Typical process: make an appointment via phone. Arrive 10 minutes early to get checked in. Once you’re called, an employee will ask a few questions, input your information into the system as much as they can. Charlie will come by to do a thorough audit review of the report and submit it on your behalf. You pay and go home and that completes your civic duty for the year.-There’s no frills here. You get what you pay for.

I filed my tax on feb 13 2023. Waiting for my refund, nothing. Now is march 14, 2023 so i went to the irs website and check. Guess what, they haven t receive anything from me. Ok, the story was that on that date when i filed the tax, my son missing a piece if paper that stated his name and address. So, i came home and sent them right away. 1 month plus, they didn t received anything from me and they call me to let me know. I was waiting waiting til today to check the irs website. I called them, they told me nothing. I checked my sent email and it is there. So, tell me, what kind of business is this? U tell me what stars i should give them. Called them, backward forward, on hold for 30mins still waiting here. (Lam an nhu con cac). (Tieu cai ly lau mu). Unreal. now it 45min and keep calling they keep transfer and hang up on me lol. Very nasty business. I just wanted to ask, did u receive the paper. Keep hang up and transfer then hang up lol. Still here waiting. Please tell me what reviews should I give?

Like many other reviews said, they are way overbooked. Had to wait in the parking lot for 3 hours even with an appointment! Also, Charlie was either very inpatient or just had no clue regarding the questions that I had. Not recommend.

My last post was removed and for the life of me I can't figure out why. I'll try to get my honest opinion expressed here once again. My wife went to file her personal and business taxes here and there's no doubt that Charlie is knowledgeable in this field. The part of this company that I was very disappointed in was what happened when she left Charlie's offic. He text my wife at closing time and asked her if she was interested in going out and partying with him. She took it as a joke to begin with, but when the texts continued for the next couple of days,,, sometimes at weird hours between midnight and 4am,, she began to get uncomfortable with this man who was supposed to be taking care of our financial concerns, which he was all the while he was propositioning my wife. Again I'm sure of Charlie's ability as an accountant, but my wife and I were very disappointed and she was made to feel very uncomfortable with his actions off the clock. I hope this does not come off as offensive, but it's the absolute truth
