They only had one pair of cleats in my size and it had a small defect with a QA sticker. The cashier argued with me that the shoes were still in brand new condition and took the QA sticker off while I watched so the next person probably wouldn’t notice. Clearly quality isn’t a priority here. Prices are reasonable and I got a coupon for the Fourth of July.

The 4 Stars has nothing to do with the staff. They were helpful and pleasant. I just don't understand how you can buy $50 sunglasses (I have zero problems with price) and not come with anything but a soft fabric bag. I have a big head and have had to buy nice sunglasses most of my life. They have until this pair always came with a decently protective case for the $50 and over polarized glasses.

This is honestly a slightly harsh review, but this specific store does fine at what it's meant to. Soooo it's a tad bit run down/outdated, but has an okay variety of sports products especially for the total SQFT and employees have always been direct and helpful.
From the easiest found items to most niche, this Big 5 will have almost everything in the low to medium range. You won't find super niche pickleball equipment and are better off going to one of the bigger Big 5s (the biggest 5 haha). For example, lead weighted tape for your paddle handle or sometimes even portable nets. See entire pickleball section in picture.
In my opinion, this store (like many sports equipment stores) is meant for non-professionals players, especially those that are of the under 18 years old variety.
Also prices here are decent but not a steal either. Have a quick look online for cheaper and know the products you're looking for beforehand. That said, there's something impossible to recreate about shopping in person, handling the equipment and walking out immediately, no shipping. For example, Big 5 SAVED me and my friends when we wanted to play Spikeball Golden Gardens beach on a hot summer day! I got the last set here at the Big 5 Ballard. ?

Sometimes you can find good deals here, but often it's a bit of a hunt.
