Beverly is such a talented tailor and I’m grateful I found her to alter my wedding dress!! I was initially super anxious to hand over my gown to anyone because of the finicky fabric (can’t be steamed) and the difficult laying of the pleats - but Beverly calmed my nerves immediately through her obvious vast expertise and incredibly gentle handling of my dress. During the first few fittings, we decided to change the neckline of the dress and then I decided I wanted to change it back; making Beverly backtrack her work and even add fabric back that she had cut out. I’m not sure how she accomplished that - but my dress came out perfect and Beverly remained a determined and delightful collaborator even through my difficult requests :). Her pricing is also very reasonable compared to the other quotes I got. I’d recommend Beverly in a heartbeat to trust with your most precious garments!

I got my dress from a wedding dress resale place, and it came with a gauzy overlay which I didn't like as is but I knew had potential. I took my dress and the overlay to Beverly and it was one of the best decisions I made in the entire planning process. She worked with me to figure out how to make the gauzy piece work as an overskirt to my dress, and the final result was more beautiful than I could have originally imagined. She is so talented and personable and did a great job both listening to what I wanted and also making suggestions to me about different things that could work. I would highly recommend her! Beverly did an amazing job on my wedding dress for my wedding this past August. My dress had a long train and it took some time to hem, but once it was all finished, the fabric hung beautifully. She also skillfully added some beautiful pearls on the back, which complemented the dress. Her shop is adorable and has such a lovely ambiance. Beverly herself is super sweet and funny and I miss seeing her! If you are looking for someone talented and trustworthy to do alterations of any kind, look no more! Thank you Beverly!

Beverly is AMAZING. I went to Beverly for alterations for my wedding dress and I could not have been happier with the result. It's so clear how much knowledge she has. Upon meeting her I completely trusted her with my dress--which is more delicate with pearl beading. Beverly is also the absolute sweetest and so professional and organized. I absolutely recommend Beverly for all tailoring/alteration needs -- especially for wedding dresses with trickier details. I felt so happy and confident in my dress -- thank you, Beverly!!

Beverly sewed and shipped the cutest hats to me! My bald head is grateful to have them and they look so cute! This makes having no hair in the winter tolerable. I highly recommend her adorable hats!

I worked with Beverly to alter my wedding gown. I had purchased a sample dress that did not fit quite right, and I needed it fitted + to add a French bustle for the train. Beverly was super kind, thoughtful, and helpful throughout the entire process. I genuinely looked forward to my appointments with her just to be able to hang out with her. When a local dry cleaner recommended by the bridal store where I purchased my dress ruined my sample dress right before the alterations began, Beverly was instrumental in me working with this dry cleaner and the bridal store, and her guidance ultimately helped me get the same dress except brand new for free from the bridal store and a refund from the dry cleaner. It was a super sad and stressful situation for me, and Beverly supported and encouraged me throughout that process. Once I got my new dress, Beverly helped me figure out what types of alterations were needed, and she got the alterations work done early so I could rest assured a couple weeks before my wedding date (the dry cleaner fiasco wasted about a month of my alteration time). When I picked up my dress to take it home, we both hugged. She was literally crying because she was so happy that it had worked out. I was mostly just relieved / in disbelief that I was actually taking home my wedding dress. On the day of my wedding, I found the sweetest note from Beverly hidden in my garment bag. She was like my fairy godmother over in Queen Ann wishing the best for me. She is so sweet, talented, and hard working. I cannot thank her or recommend her enough.

I had the privilege of altering my wedding dress here. Beverly was extreme kind and quick to respond through out the entire process! The overall entire interaction was very pleasant and left me with a warm feeling because Beverly is just that kind of person. I had a total of two fittings. On my pick up about a month out from the wedding, the bust portion ended up being smaller than it was at the prior fitting, which caused my back to be excessively pushed together. This was evident to both her and I as it was very difficult to fully zip me up into my dress. I chose to ignore it although now I do wish that I would have said something at that final fitting. The dress ended up fitting okay but continued to be pretty snug around my bust/back. Because the bust was so tight, one of the straps broke off while I was on the dance floor (I had Beverly sew these in to ensure they would stay put). I ended up wearing the dress as a strapless for the last two hours of the night. Thankfully since the bust was so tight, it stayed up pretty well! Overall, I enjoyed working with Beverly, I just wish that I had said something when the dress clearly didn’t fit like it did at my prior fitting.Service: Wedding gown alterations

Beverly saved my dress! The bridal shop I ordered my dress from recommended that I order two sizes bigger than what I tried on- long story short- the dress was huge!!! I haven't gotten married yet but am a couple months away from my wedding, and just got my wedding dress back from Beverly. She is kind, open, honest, and transparent with her services. She took a dress that I was feeling "fine" about and made it come to life. It hugs and skims my curves perfectly and highlights my body in the best ways. She found a way to make it feel like my own personal dress with small tweaks here and there that made it perfect. She also checks for comfort and offers advice/support along the way. Beverly is truly talented and experienced in what she does. I'm so glad that I've found her for my wedding gown alteration. I've never used any alteration services before and it's my wedding gown that I'm trying an alteration first so of course I was nervous. I reached out to Beverly about 4 months before my wedding, she responded very fast via email and asked me to schedule a consultation with my dress for free. When I met her, same as the other lady wrote, I was also a bit hesitant about the seemingly high quote. However, after meeting Beverly in person and talking with her, I decided to trust my gut to work with her. Later, I found this whole experience really was worth the money that I paid. Not only Beverly gives you her full attention at every fitting, but she also has a sharp eye to see how you feel in your dress and intuitively knows what you may need to feel like yourself in your wedding dress. I'm not good at describing exactly what I like, but Beverly helped lift off that pressure from me by patiently observing how I posed myself in the dress, and suggesting tweaks that made me feel more confident in my dress. During fitting we tried walking around, sitting down, moving and wiggling (because my dress is off-shoulder and I'm not used to it) She also suggests finishing the final alterations one month before your wedding so that you're not stressed out. She takes as many fittings as needed to ensure that your dress fits you well and you feel good in your dress. We did four in total. There was no pressuring into a contract or rushing to finish the project and we'd have a joyful chat every time we met. I still felt nervous about the dress on my wedding day and pulled it up a couple of times, but for the most part I felt secure and good in my dress. Beverly was recommended to me by a friend when I needed alterations on my wedding dress, and I'm so glad she was!She did a fantastic job, and throughout the process she was kind, careful, realistic, and overall a joy to work with. I'd never had any clothing tailored before, and Beverly walked me through what would be possible and how long it would take, and my dress turned out just how I imagined it would.Beverly was able to (invisibly) take some fabric from the skirt to create off-the-shoulder straps, sew on a belt (requiring removal and replacement of buttons), and adjust the padding in the bust so that my dress would be unique and perfect for me.
