My experience has been extraordinary! The building manager Darkua, has been nothing but an angel and an incredible professional! Since our application to the moment we move in, Darkua gave us all the support and orientation we needed, making the whole process easier and friendlier! Feeling like home since day one!

Been here 2 months and it’s the best place I’ve lived on Capitol Hill (took 4 different buildings to find this one!) Friendly, responsive staff, phenomenal location, spacious units. Would highly recommend!

Lived in this building for 2 years. Facilities are great, pretty modern building. Fantastic location. A little bit pricey (ehem), but if you sign up at the right time, you might score some specials -- but from my experience it was definitely worth it. Friendly and responsive staff. Management keeps the area secure. Darkua is truly one of a kind, the best thing about her is she really cares for the community and it's quite honestly hard not to keep in touch with her even after you move out. I still visit the building every time I'm around the area to this day, and I feel like an alumni each time.

The apartment does not care enough about their residents. I moved out in March this year and didn’t received my deposit refund until the end of this month which is two months later. They didn’t even refund me the full amount of deposit or inform me that they are going to charge me or giving me a receipt saying that they need to repaint the walls and clean it professionally which I already did clean the apartment deeply myself. Not just the apartment but the whole Tarragon office team in WA was awful. They do not answer the phone calls.

Has your rent ever gone from $1,900 to $4,000 within a year? Well, at Beryl it can. Premium prices for very basic living conditions - both in terms of management quality and amenities. Besides (1) the insane rent hikes, (2) the units don't have AC and get unbearably hot in the summer (even with fans); and (3) your packages will likely get stolen. But, most importantly, (4) once you're lured in and become a resident; if you try to re-negotiate frequent rent hikes with the property management company / owners - they will conveniently not respond for months, while you pay increased rates. As a concrete example, after my year-long lease (at $1,300/mo) was up, the month-to-month rent immediately went up to $1,900 (as soon as CHAZ exited the picture). So, I went on a month-to-month arrangement with hopes of renegotiating and potentially signing a short-term lease at a lower rate. Then another rent increase notice followed a couple of months later, saying that it will be going up by another 50% in 6 months (keeping in line with a 180-day notice requirement set by the city) to $2,250. Then another notice followed a couple of months later for an increase to $4,050. (5) The garage parking fee is also high although the spaces are so tiny that your neighbors’ cars will likely put dings in yours (as in my case). (6) There are also no real amenities in the building. The rooftop view is nice, but the furniture is constantly soiled and hasn't been cleaned in years. Bottom line (and the 6 reasons above) - it might be worth attempting to live in this building if you're ok with low-level amenities and insane rent rates for tiny apartments (this may be ok if you’re coming from the Bay Area or the East Coast, or qualify for low-income units). Overall, proceed with caution and don't believe their promises. On the plus side, the views are quite nice and the location is unbeatable.

Moved in today and couldn’t be happier. Leasing and maintenance is amazing, the entire complex is clean and the residents are very friendly. My view of seattle is great and I can’t find a single issue within the apartment itself. I would recommend this place to everyone. Location and price can’t be beat!

I liked living in the apartments, the staff always answered messages, clean spacious rooms with good appliances and furniture. the city center next to cafes and grocery stores, from the minuses one lift for a large building and a very compact parking lot, in general it was good and comfortable to live in these apartments!

Location, location, location! This place is near anything you could possibly want. Jen, the office manager, is always super helpful and just an email away. The whole staff is pretty pleasant in general. I lived here for a little over 2 years and hated leaving. It does get a little noisy but come on, you live in the heart of cap hill. Highly recommended the inner units for a little less noise and kickass rooftop.

The building and location are pretty nice, but lack proper upkeep. There has been turnover of apartment management. Over the last three months, requests are not followed through, packages are constantly going missing, rooftop furniture is scattered a majority of the time, seen people urinating on the rooftop, lights in the building are out for weeks at a time, graffiti throughout the building. There are two people sitting in the leasing office during the weekday yet seem to not be able to replace missing signage of where trash and recycling go after asking multiple times. This has led to empty boxes sitting in the hallway, bags of trash sitting around for upwards of a week at a time. Writing this review so others are aware of the current status of this building that you may not catch at first glance.

This building has signify the issues with package theft and it is not being addressed. Typically almost all packages get delivered to a hallway and placed along a wall with residents' mailboxes, making them prone to theft. While the hallways have cameras installed, no efforts seem to be made to identify/track down thieves. Despite the building being equipped with a locker system, it is not sufficient for the volume of packages typically being received in the building.

I am in the market for a new place to call home, Joe was great super responsive, had great customer service skills & was pleasant while giving me a tour of the building (that roof top is everything!) I applied and hope to call this place home soon. The units give a modern vibe the building definitely has character & LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.

You know what's wild, having a sociopathic property manager who put her tenants lives in danger, steals, and talks about how certain people couldn't/can't pay their rent during covid when she got rent relief for herself and told no other tenants about it. I mean with all that going on and even more, why wouldn't you want to live here?
