No retail pharmacy is perfect nowadays but I've always had a good experience here. They are super nice and even spent extra time with me once to work out my insurance with a savings card.

Wow, worst Bartells Pharmacy I’ve ever been to. The customer service is horrible. No texted or phone calls when prescriptions are filled or there’s an issue. The techs have a very condescending attitude with the body language to match. They also treat you like you’re stupid and an inconvenience. I work as a manager in customer service and would never let myself or my employees treat other people like I was treated. I usually take reviews with a grain of salt but it looks like their low rating is well deserved. I’ll definitely be using another pharmacy from here on out. Bartells and Right Aid have the resources to do better but they clearly don’t care about there customers or the community. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your needs.

I've always found the pharmacy staff to be very friendly and helpful. Plus they have Ritter Sport chocolate bars for way cheaper than the only other place that sells them in Ballard. ?

I love this place. Had a last minute switch when CVS bailed and they pick up perfectly. I dont care if they’re having a bad day, they are allowed, its a hard job dealing with griumpy people. Keep your head up guys! Youre doing GREAT!

Like I told the manager: nobody is choosing to come to this pharmacy. The only customers they have left are because all the good pharmacies in the neighborhood closed down. Even with more staff, the pharmacy lacks the basic ability to function under their exceptionally rude pharmacy manager.

Just go ahead and close. You don't answer the phone. You have no way to tell me when my prescription that I've been waiting for for over three weeks will be in. The death knell is too painful. Just close already.

I had an unfortunate experience while waiting in line at the pharmacy. There was only one person back there helping everyone and this lady in front of me got extremely rude and began to express their frustration in a loud and disrespectful manner with the register person for not answering her multiple phone calls when she was already informed that the pharmacy is short staffed and they don't have enough people to answer every phone call?! I felt so bad for that worker and can't imagine them dealing with rude entitled customers like that. I just wanted to commend the pharmacy staff for maintaining their professionalism throughout the situation and for ensuring that the rest of us were not negatively affected by that customers disruptive behavior.

Pharmacy doesn't answer their phone, so you have to go in person to chase up on prescriptions. They're never ready, but tell you you can wait 30 mins. Wish there were other pharmacy options in this part of Ballard.

Continued using this pharmacy despite poor experience and now I'm paying for it. Somehow messed up my prescription, claimed no refills left despite a brand new prescription from my doctor a week ago. I'm out of medicine and I can't get ahold of anyone because the phone system is entirely broken. Lines are always incredibly long and my medicine has been repeatedly filled incorrectly or simply wasn't there even despite being texted to come pick it up. I need to transfer to the Walgreens or Safeway asap. The RiteAid buyout really did a number on this pharmacy.

I echo the majority of complaints. Ever since Bartell's was acquired by Rite Aid they seem to have gone out of their way to lose everyone's business. It's like shopping in a Soviet era store given the lack of products on the shelves. The items I need are rarely in stock so instead I walk thru the store placing Amazon orders. But the worst part is the pharmacy. I don't know if it's incompetence, poor systems, or both but it takes forever to get the simplest prescriptions filled or refilled. I have now had the same conversation with pharmacy employees at least four times. They say my doctor didn't write the prescription a certain way. I know she did but I ask her office to call the pharmacy anyway. They call the pharmacy to clarify. And then we repeat this idiotic game the next month because the pharmacist tells me they never received any clarification. The online prescription ordering makes even less sense. They seem to issue a new prescription number every time I request a refill - so I have half a dozen prescriptions for the same medications, adding to the "confusion". Has anyone found a better option in Magnolia?

Man this place sucks now! I have loved Bartell for a long time and the 22nd Ave location has been my go-to pharmacy for over 10 years. I literally loved shopping there! Since being acquired by rite aid it has turned into a total dumpster fire. I was sure things would get ironed out but it's been quite a while and I have seen 0 improvement, in fact it gets worse/weirder every time I go. Half empty shelves, incompetent and odd clerks, and the pharmacy app has become unusable. The wait times at the pharmacy have become outrageous and they close down completely in the middle of the day for lunch. I have the same exact issue with my son's same exact medication EVERY MONTH. They NEVER EVER answer the phone. My doctor has called them and faxed them repeatedly today and they say they have no record of it. I mentioned that I had been working on getting my RX filled for days and she told me I would be better off finding a new pharmacy! That it wasn't going to get any better and they are short staffed and under stocked and I will be happier going somewhere else. Such a shame. Goodby Bartells!

It has been excruciating watching Bartell devolve under new ownership. Increased wait times, gaps in inventory and change over in staff have made it a much less rewarding experience.

Very clean and well stocked Bartells! The cashier, Vlad, always says “Hello” and asks how we are doing. Lucky to have this pharmacy in the neighborhood!

I've come here for a long time, but I've about had it. First, let me just note, whoever from Riteaid reads these reviews does not follow up with you other than an obligatory initial DM. On to the primary issues: The lines are usually very long. No one picks up the phone ever. The staff are not proactive about helping you and often extremely unfriendly. Hello Walgreens, CVS and Safeway!
